Addicting Emotions

Evelyn’s POV

I got home from the Cullen’s house exhausted from the amount of work Alice had gotten us to do I mean I never knew just how much went into a wedding and I vowed that when it was my turn I would plan it myself so it wasn’t as extravagant as Alice was making Bella’s because frankly, I can’t have that much fuss made over me, it would annoy me.
Jasper had finally rescued me after sensing how tired I was and I was so thankful to him. I walked through the door of my house and dropped my purse on the hall table and went to walk up the stairs but Mom appeared from the kitchen and squealing she rushed over and hugged me tightly. I squirmed and asked
“What is up with you, Mom?” Mom pulled back and held up a leaf of papers and she near enough screamed
“the divorce papers came through and I am now officially divorced!” I looked at her in shock for a moment before I let out a scream and hugged her tightly. I saw Charlie lent on the kitchen door frame with a grin on his face and I knew that he had been waiting for this as well.
Pulling away I said
“we have to celebrate, I’ll call Bella and that and they can come over here and we can all celebrate” Mom nodded and then walked back towards Charlie who hugged and kissed her and I made a face before turning and taking my phone from my back pocket I rang Bella’s number and she picked up after a couple of rings and said excitedly before I even said a word
“I’m so happy for them!” I laughed knowing that Alice must have told them
“I know I’m so glad that she’s divorced my dad, so when are you guys gonna get here?” Bella laughed and replied
“well we are waiting for Emmett and Rosalie to come out of their room and then we’ll be there though Jasper should be there right about now” I raise a brow and walked over to the door just as the bell rang and opening it saw Jaz stood there with a grin and I smiled before taking his hand and pulling him inside the house and I said into the phone
“well just let your selves in when you get here, the door is unlocked OK?” Bella OK’ed and we rang of and I looked up at Jasper and smiled
“well hey there, I haven’t seen you in how long?” I teased and he smiled before pretending to think it over
“oh I don’t know about half an hour?” I giggled and he lent down and kissed me but it was interrupted by a cough and we pulled away to see Charlie stood there
“is Bella coming?” he asked and I nodded with a smile
“yeah she’ll be here in a few minutes” he nodded and wondered back into the kitchen and I smiled at Jaz before pulling him into the kitchen after them.
Walking in I saw Mom pulling out some food and I laughed
“Mom it will only be you, me and Charlie eating remember?” Mom looked at all the food and blushed a little
“ah yes, I forgot” she then moved and put most of the food away leaving only a couple of plates out and then she grabbed a bottle of wine from the wine cupboard and a few bottles of beer for Charlie who smiled and kissed her while I moved and got two wine glasses and I gave the bottle to Jasper who uncorked it for me and handed it back with a smile while I giggled as he had done it with a corkscrew and I poured it out and handed Mom a glass. She smiled thankfully and we walked out into the sitting room just as everyone piled in through the door and walked up and congratulated Charlie and Mom.
The night was getting on but no one was tired, well I was slightly from the long day and the wine making me slightly more tired though Jaz had me sat on his lap and I was lent back into his chest with the glass held loosely in my hand, Mom and I had gone through a whole bottle.
I closed my eyes and snuggled back getting comfortable but Jaz leaned down and whispered in my ear
“you might want to stay awake just a little longer honey” I opened my eyes and turning my head I looked at him questioningly but he just nodded towards where my Mom and Charlie were sat and I saw him fiddling with something nervously before he got up and kneeling in front of Mom he said
“Elizabeth I love you so much and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, I know you just got out of one marriage but would you consider jumping into another one?” I gasped as did Mom and I saw tears slip down her face and I felt them build up in my eyes as well. Mom nodded her head and threw her arms around him, getting on the floor with him
“oh I would love to Charlie!” they hugged and kissed before Charlie took the box and opened it pulling out a ring and slipping it on my Mom’s finger.
I got up from Jasper’s lap and went and hugged them as did Bella who I could tell would cry right now if she was able and I knew I was as Mom wiped a few from my face and I laughed and did the same to her.
The party turned into an engagement party and we went on well until midnight when Mom and Charlie said they were tired and I was near enough gone in Jasper’s lap and the Cullen’s walked out of the house and Mom and Charlie told them good bye and me good night before thee walked up stairs and went into their room and I hugged everyone before they left and made my way up the stairs as well and walking into my room I stripped and got into my Pj’s then slipped under my covers and I heard my curtains rustle before a weight laid on the bed beside me and arms wrap around me
“love you” Jasper whispered and I smiled and replied
“I love you more” he chuckled
“not possible love but OK” I giggled and soon fell into a deep peaceful sleep.
