Everlasting Love

I placed my right hand onto Aro’s left hand; his fingers were quick to wrap around my hand firmly. I watched as Aro shut his eyes; my full attention was focused on Aro’s face, I was watching his facial expressions.

I felt Renesmee take a handful of my shirt sleeve again while all eyes were on Aro and I; the main expressions Aro used were shock, sadness, surprise, happiness and excitement. Sadness for my parents and Sarah, shock for being adopted by the Black’s, surprise for being so close to werewolves and vampires, happiness for being turned and excitement for my gift; which I hid a little.

I didn’t let Aro see just how good I am at controlling objects and people; so hopefully Aro will think that I haven’t been taught how to use my gift yet.

“Thank you for letting me see your life Alexandra. I must say that you have been through events that most here couldn’t live through. I am interested in the fact that this wolf here is your adopted brother…” Aro said still holding my hand; but Aro was cut off by gasps and whispers that came from the guard.

“I also would like to learn more about this astounding gift you have” Aro told me.

“I think that should be for another day Aro” Edward said calmly causing Aro to smile and nod while letting go of my hand.

Aro never rejoined the guard instead he waved them forward; Edward grabbed Bella’s and Emmett’s arm as he pulled them back with him. Jacob and I retreated slower as our eyes focused on Aro; Renesmee grabbed Jacob’s tail to make him keep up with them so Jacob grabbed the back of my shirt in between his teeth, so I too kept up with them.

After yet another argument between Aro and Caius, after Aro told Caius that the wolves were not werewolves just shape-shifters; Caius again called for Irina.

“So you appear to have been mistaken in your allegations” Caius said when Irina took a few steps forward.

“I am sorry, I should have made sure of what I saw but I had no idea. You came here today to destroy an immortal child, no immortal child exists. This is my mistake and I will take full responsibility for it. But the Cullen’s are innocent, you have no need to still be here” Irina said hanging her head in shame.

Caius raised his hand as Irina spoke but what caught my attention was the metal object in his hand. Everything happened so fast that no one could do anything; we were all shocked and stunned.

Three Volturi soldiers leaped forward covering Irina in a circle; at the same time a horrible metallic screeching tore through the clearing. As soon as Caius disappeared into the center of the circle an explosion of flames light up the sky; the soldiers leaped away from the inferno and back to their spots.

A gasp escaped from my mouth as my eyes fell onto the blazing remains of Irina; I quickly tore of eyes away from the fire and towards our front line. I stopped when I found the shocked Tanya and Kate.

“Stop them” Edward roared as he leaped over to grab Tanya’s arm; Carlisle was quick to help his son.

Kate was harder to stop; Rose tried but got shocked violently, Emmett threw Kate to the ground but was also shocked. Garrett was able to get his arms around Kate pulling her to the ground; I watched his body spasm as she shocked him too, his eyes rolled back into his head but his grip didn’t loosen.

“Alex” Edward shouted catching my attention; I looked at Kate and Garrett focusing on Kate. Garrett instantly regained control over himself again; both Kate and Tanya stopped struggling.

“Stop controlling us” Tanya hissed at me.

“Listen to me, vengeance doesn’t help her now. Irina wouldn’t want you to waste your lives this way, think about what you’re doing. Attack them now and we all die” Carlisle said calmly.

I let my eyes flicker back over to the Volturi; Caius was staring at Kate and Garrett who still laid in the snow while Aro’s eyes were flickering between them and me, he knew just how powerful my gift was now.

I watched us all the guard members crouched forward readying themselves for an attack; I watched as Aro placed his hand on Caius’ shoulder before he spoke.

“Irina has been punished for bearing false witness against this child; perhaps we should return to the matter at hand” Aro said causing Caius to straighten; his expression was so hard that I couldn’t read it.

Aro drifted towards us with Renata, Felix and Demetri following him instantly; Aro told us that he wanted to speak to some of our witnesses.

He first spoke to Amun who told Aro the truth; the Renesmee learns, grows and isn’t an immortal child. Amun then asked if he and Kebi could leave which Aro let them; next Aro talked to Siobhan who basically agreed with Amun but she also added a little bit to her speech.

Everyone then listened to Aro as he talked about the danger of Renesmee; seeing as no one has meet an child like her before Aro didn’t know what danger she could put us in. No one knew when she would stop growing, if she would be stronger then normal vampires, nothing.

I saw the pure evil smirk form on the lips of Caius and I felt the anger boiling in my body; if any of them even think of trying to make any of us join it will be the death of us all. Suddenly for some reason part of my attention flickered to my husband; I was standing a few feet behind him like Bella and Renesmee were with Edward.

I would hate to be Jasper right now; feeling everyone’s different emotions and not being able to do anything to calm everyone. I felt hand tighten around mine as I controlled my emotions; I didn’t want him to feel all this rage inside me.

I listened to Garrett’s amazing speech as he turned his attention onto Aro’s witnesses; I saw a few vampires become confused, some ignored what Garrett told them and some changed their minds. Garrett’s two friends were the first to witness and leave; a couple more followed their lead and left leaving the Volturi outnumbered.

“Let us counsel” Caius said eagerly.

“Let us counsel” Marcus repeated quiet uninterested.

Aro joined Caius and Marcus where they joined hands making a black-shrouded triangle; as I watched the three ancients talk amongst themselves I saw two more of their witnesses leave, I hoped for their sake they run fast.

“You remember what I told you?” Bella asked Renesmee quietly; I frowned as my eyes looked next to me. What was Bella on about?

“I love you” Nessie whispered while tears formed in her eyes; by now Jacob and Edward were just as confused as me.

“I love you too, more then life it self” Bella whispered back to her daughter while gently touching Renesmee’s necklace; a low whine escaped Jacob’s throat at the scene in front of us.

“Wait until they’re totally distracted, then run with her. Get as far as possible away from here; when you’ve gone as far as you can on foot Renesmee has everything you need to get into the air” Bella whispered into Jacob’s ear; she was telling Jake to get himself and Nessie away from here alive.

Jacob turned his head to look at me while Edward said his goodbyes to Nessie; I saw the tears forming in my brother’s big dark eyes and if I could then I would be crying too. Both of us knew that this was it; we would most likely never saw each other again.

Once Renesmee was safely on Jacob’s back she turned her attention down onto me; her big brown wet eyes staring into my light golden eyes. I placed two fingers onto my lips before placing my fingers on Renesmee’s forehead; her little hand grabbed my fingers and I knew she didn’t want to let go.

My attention was captured when I felt someone pushing me into my brother’s hot furry body; my eyes locked onto Jasper’s.

“Go with them love” Jazz whispered to me making everyone turn their attention onto us now.

“What? No, I’m staying here with you and my family” I whispered back as my eyebrows pulled together in a frown.

“I want you to be safe; I want to protect you Alexandra. I want you to run with Jacob and Renesmee. I love you so much but it has to be like this” Jasper told me firmly making sure I couldn’t say no again.

I felt myself wanting to cry but nothing happening as Jasper leaned down to place his lips on mine; his kiss was full of so much love and passion that I didn’t want to stop kissing my husband.

“No I’m staying with you Jasper. Jake will be fine without me, I know he will be. He knows how much I love him but you’re my husband Jazz. I’m staying here with you either you like it or not; if one of us die then so does the other” I told him quietly as my fingers untwined with Jacob’s fur; both Jake and I knew the love we held for each other, we would never forget that.

I tightened my other hand on Jasper’s so he knew how serious I was about staying with him; I knew Jacob would be tore right now. He would want me to be with Jasper but he would also want me to be with him.

He would hate leaving me if there was even the slightest chance that I might die; I knew it was going to kill him inside if I died and he lived. But I too was torn; I wanted to stay here with my family and friends. I wanted to try to protect them, to maybe save some of them. But I also wanted to go with my brother and Renesmee to make sure that Demetri didn’t track them down.

“I love you Jake, I love you all” I whispered to my brother as my hand stroked his cheek; I knew he passed it to Sam who passed it to his pack when I heard low whimpers from both packs. I smiled slightly when Jake gently pressed the tip of his nose onto my chest; right over my heart, he was telling me that he and the packs loved me more.

“I love you so much Jasper” I whispered as I turned my attention onto my husband.

“I love you more Alexandra” Jazz whispered back to me before kissing me again.

Soon Esme walked forward touching all of our faces as she passed us; she laced her fingers with Carlisle when she reached him. Emmett and Rosalie kissed quickly but passionately, Garrett told Kate that if they lived he was going to follow her, and Tia caressed Benjamin’s cheek making him smile at her.

“Get ready, it’s starting” Bella whispered making everyone’s attention focus on the vampires in front of us.
