20 Questions

Raven was seriously starting to worry me after our lunch. I knew for a fact she didn’t have a big breakfast this morning, we didn’t get to eat at all. She barely touched her cake either and then at lunch she only ate her salad and drank a lot of water. I may not be anorexic or bulimic but I sure as hell knew when someone was; and I was beginning to be scared that maybe Raven was. I had never noticed before because we had different classes in college and we rarely had time to eat meals together and she always told me she was eating.
I made it my new mission to make sure she began eating regularly. Raven was not fat; she was beautiful. I don’t see why she doesn’t see this in herself.
“You’re not still upset about what I said this morning, are you?” Ronnie asked as he knelt down beside me. I was sitting on the edge of the stage watching as Jimmy ran around the venue with twobroom sticks “katanas” and chasing Derek around proclaiming he was an evil ninja.
Yeah… I wasn’t sure if I should be disturbed that Jimmy was taking this game so seriously or be amused.
“Nah, just distracted and tired.” I sent him a small smile.
He nodded and slid so he was sitting close beside me. I had to resist the urge to scoot away so I didn’t hurt his feelings. Really it had nothing to do with him; I just didn’t feel comfortable being this close to people. I didn’t like them being in my “bubble”. I’m an odd person; I don’t really like being touch unnecessarily. I can mainly blame this on my 8th grade English teacher. He used to always walk up behind me and place his hand on my back while he talked to me and my friends. Or when he was talking to me he would touch my arm. THE ENTIRE TIME. I mean this guy is old and long winded. It got rather annoying very quickly. It got so bad I got to the point where I was my arm so he couldn’t touch me or just walking away when he tried to talk. Ever since then I hate when people hug me for a long ass time or sit so they were basically touching my entire side.
Which Ronnie was doing.
But to be honest it didn’t bother me as much as it normally would. It felt almost…comfortable.
“So Kenzi, tell me about yourself.” He gave me that lopsided smile that sent my heart fluttering.
“Only if we play 20 questions.” I smiled back at him.
“Deal. I’ll go first. What’s your favorite color?”
“Purple and black.” I answer quickly.
“Cool; mine’s black too.”
I thought for a second before asking him a question, “Favorite band?”
”Falling in Reverse,” he laughed.
“Cocky much?” I couldn’t help but smile.
“Just a little,” he held up his thumb and pointer only about an inch apart.
“Favorite show?”
”Supernatural.”
“Is that the show about the two brothers who hunt demons and stuff?” He asked.
“Yup. Jensen Ackles is awesome.”

We continued our game for well over 20 questions. It was nice to get to know Ronnie. Turns out we have a lot more in common than I thought we would.
When they played their show that night Raven and I were up at the front of the crowd and we sang every word to every song A7x and FIR played.

I couldn’t help but notice two things that night:

1st: Syn had taken quite a liking to Raven; if all the looks he kept sending her from on stage were any clues.
2nd: Watching Ronnie up on stage again sent butterflies in my stomach. And I don’t think it was because of the music…
