This is based on a true story.
A few months ago, a boy by the name of Ben Mikic died. He was only 15, and had been training for cycling following his selection into the Academy of Sport.
While training, he was tragically hit by a car and killed instantly. His death came as a severe shock, particularly to our small town and to those at my school who knew him.
This story is for him.
