[Nessie's POV]

A few days have passed. Daddy and the others are still not in school. I couldn't help but to feel that something had probably happened over at the Cullen's residence.

"He's here!" my good friend from school - Kathy - shrieked with happiness.from next to me.

I looked up and saw who she was talking about. Her friend from London had actually transferred here for a reason I failed to remember.

He is tall and a little muscular teenage boy with brown spiked hair - a lighter shade from Stefan's - with green eyes. He was wearing a brown-buttoned up tee with a dark green denim jacket over it and black pants.

He walked towards us and Kathy gave him a huge hug.

"It's been so long!" Kathy said, a little flushed so I couldn't help but to giggle.

"Yes it has been that long, hasn't it?" he replied, his accent was thick.

"Oh! This is my friend, Renesmee," Kathy pointed to me and I gave a small wave. "And Nessie, this is my best friend Leo."

"Hi," Leo greeted and gave a curt nod towards me. "Kat here has told me alot about you."

"I sure do hope not," I faked a laugh and looked over at Kathy, who was staring dreamily at Leo.

Leo, however, kept looking at me in a weird.way though his smile was sincere. There is something different about him. The way he looked at me was not one of which a human would.

But he didn't smell like a vampire or a werewolf either. I decided that I was probably being too paranoid. Living with Damon for too long had screwed my mind up - for sure.

Leo and I have been talking a whole lot more after that. He even offered to pick me up and bring me back home a couple of times.

Even though it felt nice to have a human to do that for me, I couldn't help but to think of Jacob.

Jacob would do the exact same things Leo is doing for me right now. Sometimes in my mind, I pretended that he was Jacob.

One fine cloudy day, I descended down the stairs with my black messenger bag - Leo was already outside in his red Chevvy Camero waiting for me.

I was almost by the door when I heard the long forgotten voice speak, "Where do you think you're going?"

I turned around and saw Damon walking towards me, his expression blank. He wasn't giving his stupid smirk but he wasn't angry either.

"School, where else could I be going?" I turned around to open the door but he was already in front of me, blocking the door.

"Then who is the guy waiting for you outside?" he asked in an unusual tone, gazing deep into my soul and at that moment, I actually felt my heart skipped a beat.

"A friend," I shook off the feelings mentally, and tried to push him away but he didn't budge. "Now if you don't mind, I have to get to school."

Slowly but reluctantly, he stepped aside. Just as I was about to walk out the door, he grabbed me by the arm. I turned and looked at him with shock.

"And if you don't mind, this would be the last day for you to go to the wretched school," he said.

I could feel a hidden threat in the sentence he said. But I shrugged it off by pulling myself away from him.

"Oh no, I'm not," I glared at him with anger. "I am going to that school everyday because going there would keep me sane."

I was about to walk out again but he added with a venomous tone, "That's not a request, dear Nessie. You should know how I get if I don't get what I want."

I didn't turn back to look at him. I just continued my way out of the mansion and out of the gate before I got inside the Camero.

"Everything okay?" Leo asked, looking over at me.

I nodded my head and took a deep breath.

"Who's that?" he pointed back at the mansion.

I turned and saw Damon standing by the door, just staring at us. There was something strange about the way he looked at us.

Should I tell Leo that Damon was my - I tried to grasp the word - husband?

"An asshole," I decided against it and looked to the front.

Leo turned off the ignition to his Camero once we were in the school parking lot. One other car in the parking lot seemed to outshine the other vehicles too.

One very familiar car.

Daddy, I thought when I realized that it was a silver Volvo.

When I looked closely, Daddy got out of his silver Volvo and headed towards the Camero. I arched an eyebrow, wondering how he knew all this.

I got out of the car and ran towards him, giving him a hug. He returned the embrace - like a father would to his child.

"Daddy," I whispered, blinking back the tears that were forcing their way out.

"I miss you too, honey," he whispered and kissed the top of my head.

"You going to introduce me to your boyfriend?" I heard Leo teased.

I quickly buried my face into Daddy's chest, making sure no red tears were slipping out my eye.

"Da - " I stopped myself before I could say the word Daddy in front of Leo.

"Leo, meet my best friend Edward. And Edward, this is Leo - Kathy's good friend," I introduced them.

I watched as they reached out and shook each others hand.

I've seen this guy before, Daddy's thought projected into my mind and I looked up at Daddy with astonishment.

Daddy seemed to have noticed it because he faked a grin.

I'm just thinking that to myself hypothetically speaking. It's the memories that comes with the age, Nessie.
