It all ends.

Prologue

She paced around the room several times, hoping that this will turn out nicely. Her heart rate sped up, as every second passes. She could not wait any longer. She had to find out.

She took a seat, in on of the plastic chairs, and tried to calm herself down. However, it was no use. She took in large intakes of air, which made her choke. Luckily, for her, no one saw that, and so she sighed with relief.

She couldn’t bear to wait one more second. It was taking too long.

Seconds turn into minutes, and minutes turn into hours. For as long as the clock kept ticking, her body never remained calm.

She started to bite her nails nervously, as this was her worst habit.

Tic tock tic tock tic tock, the sound of the clock rang loudly in her ears. It was getting annoying, and she was going insane.

After hours of waiting, someone came out of the door, holding a sheet of paper, and as he spoke, those words seemed foreign to her, and that all she understood was, “I’m sorry.”
