I'd Photocopy All the Things That We Could Be, If You Took the Time to Notice Me

Rough Teachers and Writen Notes

She looked at herself in the mirror and tried to ring out the water in her hair. Dakota and Olivia ran in to see if she was okay. "OMG, I can't believe Sam would do that. To think you actually helped her get on the squad." Olivia shook her head. City grunted and hit the mirror then turned to face them. Karen walked in. "Are you okay?" she asked pretending to be concerned. "ugh, your mascaras running. Here, fix it up." she looked in her purse and handed City a tube of black mascara. City took it, but didn't apply it. "I just got water dumped on me, and you're worried about my makeup?" She asked. "You can't really help it. It already happened." Dakota defended. City placed the tube on the sink and looked at herself in the mirror. "Why don't you fix yourself up and we'll try to find you some dry clothes." Olivia stated. The three girls headed out with some last whispers about the situation.

City walked out of the bathroom, managing to dry her clothes and almost ran into her father. "Not here." she only said. He sighed and motioned for her to follow. She rolled her eyes and did. The intercom came on, "Would Mr. Hall please return to the Detention Room. It must've sucked being the daughter of one of the most roughest teachers.
He opened the door of the D.R and ordered her to sit behind his desk and not to talk to anyone. He left and she started swirling in his chair. She caught an evil glare from some of the goths and showed a wry smile. This was gonna be a long day.

I placed my books down on the desk next to Ray and sunk in the chair. "Something wrong?" he asked. I shook my head and sighed tiredly. I have no idea why, but I had absolutely no energy with was really weird. "Get ready for an exciting day of Science. I know Ray was dreading it, cause he wasn't able to switch partners and was stuck with Karen. We got in our groups, thankfully Dakota was my partner.
She dropped her stuff on what was Ray's desk and ruffled my hair. "Hey partner." she greeted. I smiled falsely and sighed. She leaned over to see what I was writing. Shit! I closed the notebook fast and shoved it under my desk. She got this smile that practically said, "I knew it. I just knew it." She held my eyes for a sec, then went to work on the chemical equations. Fuck, this is gonna be a long day.

Dakota hung around my locker with one of the girls from class, talking about the way she felt bad for Ray. She doesn't like Karen either. Damn, no one likes her. I kept from laughing. Dakota glanced at me and moved her group along the hall. I opened my locker and placed my science binder down and grabbed my math and health book. A note dropped out of the math book in Dakota's handwriting. Meet me in the costume closet tomorrow around 6:30pm. Backstage of the little theater in the Boys and Girls Club, first door on your right. I have a surprise for you. ~Dakota. I glanced in her direction and ran my fingers through my hair before closing the locker.
