Life After The Show

Not there.

Alex's POV

I blazed with anger as I watched Kennadee and Jordon cuddling and waiting for their food. I shook my head at them, and turned to Jack. "This is killing me"

"It's gonna be okay man" he said chewing on his Big Mac. "Just wait, everything will be back to normal soon. I think maybe after a show, we should go back down to Baltimore for a while. Okay?"

"Uh, yeah"

*
I looked out into the crowd, hoping I'd see her. But who was I kidding? It'd only been 4 days, and I couldn't handle her in someone else arms.

"Alex, time to go up" Rian said patting me on the shoulder and running over to the stage. I nodded and walked over. I grabbed my guitar.

"All Time Low!" the man said and we ran up on stage.

"Uh, hey guys. First we're gonna play an older song, this song is called Coffee Shop Soundtrack" I introduced and started strumming and singing the lyrics.

Jack came up behind me with his guitar still strumming. "Hey, try not to be too intense man! Loosen up, it's our show. Just go with things" he told me, making his way over to the microphone, I looked over at Zack, who was looking between his bright neon pink bass and me, his eyebrow raised. I ignored him and got back into the song. I looked back into the crowd looking around. Still no sight of her. The more I thought about it, Heather wasn't here either. Looks like she finally took the hint.

Should I write myself out of the history books,
and mark a place in time for every chance you took?
Don't get me wrong I know you've got your life in place -
I've yet to take the hint,
Some day
I'm sure I'll get the picture,
and stop waiting up...

When it all comes down,
to a sunrise on the east side,
will you be there to carry home,
the remains of my wasted youth,
this wasted time on you,
has left me shaking 'n waiting,
shaking 'n waiting for something more.

Tonight is alive with the promise of a street-fight,
and there's money on the table,
that says your cheap-shots won't be able,
to break bones.
I've yet to break a sweat,
I'll make your past regret its future.
Here's to you.

When it all comes down,
to a sunrise on the east side,
will you be there to carry home,
the remains of my wasted youth,
this wasted time on you
has left me shaking 'n waiting,
for something more.

Make all of my decisions for me,
I've never taken the fall for deceit,
We'll keep a secret if you keep me guessing,
The taste of your lips says we shouldn't have met like...

Make all of my decisions for me,
I've never taken the fall for deceit,
We'll keep a secret if you keep me guessing,
The taste of your lips says we shouldn't have met like this
I can keep a secret if you can keep me guessing,
The flavor of your lips is enough to keep me pressing,
for more than just a moment of truth between the lies told,
to pull ourselves away from the lives we leave back (home)...
I can keep a secret if you can keep me guessing,
The flavor of your lips is enough to keep me here, keep me here

When it all comes down,
to a sunrise on the east side,
will you be there to carry me home?
the remains of my wasted youth,
this wasted time on you
has left me shaking 'n waiting,
for something more.

**

I climbed into bed with my dark blue plaid pajama bottoms on. I turned off the lamp, and flipped onto my side, and dozed off into a deep slumber.

Alex's dream-

Kennadee stood in front of me grinning, she looked beautiful, as always, we were... inside the show house?

"Kennadee, I lo-" I began, but was pushed out of the way.

"Kennadee, I love you" Jordon smiled. Kennadee smiled back and they pulled into a kiss. I stood there watching them.

"I love you too, Jordon" she smiled. She looked over at me once, then looked back at Jordon.

End of Alex's dream

My eyes popped open, and I sighed. I scratched my head and looked over at the clock. 7:00 AM. I jumped back into bed. My eyes wide open, staring at the ceiling.

"Hey! I'm hungry, let's go get food!" Jack burst through the door.

"Yeah, sure" I said getting up and ready.
