Enchantment Cast by a Spell

Presents.

Callie laughed as she ruffled the snow out of Sirius’ hair. He smiled at her touch before they said the password, and began to enter the common room.

Sirius looked up and smiled when he see Lily plotted their plan. Just then Lily ran down the girls’ dorm stairs and stood before them.

“You two are dripping wet, you cannot step any further.” She took out her wand and instantly their clothing was dry. She smiled to herself before she let her eyes wander above their heads.

“Oh dear, looks like you must not break tradition. Callie you know how upset you will make me.”

Callie looked up to the ceiling and let her mouth fall open. “Did James plant that?”

Sirius shook his head and shrugged, “If you don’t want to, then we won’t. Not a big deal.” He began to step away but Callie pulled his cloak back and his lips felt hers on his for the very first time.

James came down from the boys’ dorm stairs, and stopped dead in his tracks. The smile forming on his face was hidden from his best mates, but he couldn’t hide his happiness.

Sirius’ hand slid along her cheek, breaking their kiss. Sirius smiled at the girl before him and kissed her forehead. Callie couldn’t stop her heart from beating so rapidly, and instead pushed her lips to his once more.

“Oh now look what you’ve done Lily, they won’t stop now.” James mumbled to the girl beside him.

She smiled and shrugged. “It is all worth it to see them both happy. That’s all you should care about too.” She pushed his body and walked closer to the two teenagers.

“Ready for dinner?” They both broke their second kiss and nodded. Taking Lily’s hand, the girls left the boys behind and headed down to the great hall.

James put a hand on Sirius’ shoulder and grinned. “Well thought out mate, well done.”

As the four made their way up to the common room after dinner, Sirius couldn’t help but grin. As he walked beside James, and behind the girls, the recent memory of the earlier events kept playing in his mind.

“Lily Evans? James Potter? Slughorn needs to see the both of you.” The small first year then ran off. Callie smiled at the young boy before pushing Lily in the correct direction.

James winked at Sirius, and whistled as two headed off to the dungeons with the fellow redhead. She smacked his arm, causing James to laugh at her. Sirius walked up to Callie and took her hand.

Looking down at their entangled fingers, she felt a smile form across her lips. Biting the edge of her bottom lip, she looked up to see his eyes focusing on her face.

“Promise not to treat me like those other girls?” She asked as her green orbs caught his eyes.

“You can’t even classify yourself with those other girls, you’re better Callie. So much better.” He said as he took his free hand and pushed her hair behind her ear. “But yes, I promise.”

“Okay good, cause I think I like you Sirius Black.” The girl said slowly, letting her own words absorb into her thoughts.

“I know I like you Callie Lennings.” She grinned before his lips met hers for a third time. “Will you be my girlfriend?” He asked as his lips hovered just above hers. She smiled and nodded before letting their lips crash together.

“Ah yes, Miss Evans and Mister Potter. Thank you for meeting me.” The professor stood from his desk and moved around the wooden object to stand in front of the two teenagers.

“Of course professor, what do you need?”

“Well, I am unsure if you are aware of Mister Potter’s performance in potions, but it is lacking. I thought since you are top of the class with your skills, that you could help him out.” Lily opened her mouth to speak, but no words could form. She could feel herself growing angry, her hands balled up into fists, and she could feel her heartbeat increasing.

“Professor, Callie is also top of the class. Why not ask her?”

“I know they are friends, with you, he shall get the job done. I have complete faith in you Lily, that is why I have asked you.” Lily let out a big breath and looked at James.

Lily Evans was never one to let down a professor, and she was not about to start now all because of a dumb teenage boy.

“Fine, but you will do as I say.” Her eyes showed she meant business, and James knew not to mess with her.

James smiled and nodded his head. “Yes ma’am.” She rolled her eyes and left the room before anything else could be thrown her way.

“So professor Lily, when do we start?” Lily stopped walking and looked at the boy.

“Tomorrow, and please try not to irate me.”

“You know I never do these things on purpose.” Lily laughed and shook her head as the walked to the common room.

“Wait tomorrow is Christmas!” Lily ignored him and continued on.

Callie held her book on her lap as she leaned against Sirius. He was working on a letter while he watched Callie read. Every once in awhile he would ask of her of what to write, but other than that they were just waiting for their friends to return.

As she shifted beside him, her perfume caught his interest and he smiled. Kissing her temple, she smiled up at him.

“Yes Sirius?” she pushed away his falling hair and he captured her hand.

“Your perfume is nice, that and I just felt like kissing you.” She smiled and rubbed her hand along his cheek.

“I feel like kissing you right now too,” she kissed him softly before breaking the kiss to see who entered the common room.

“Callie, would you come to the library with me?” Lily stood before them. Callie smiled and nodded before kissing Sirius’ forehead and grabbing her cloak off the back of the couch.

“Mate, I have to do potions tomorrow. And tomorrow is Christmas!” James exclaimed plopping down on the couch.

“Yeah well, I asked Callie to be my girl. And she is.”

“Well happy Christmas to you Padfoot.” Sirius smiled and put his hands behind his back and nodded.

Callie woke the next morning and grinned. The mountain of presents at the end of her bed was only a mere excitement. Looking outside she could see the amount of snow from yesterday had doubled.

She felt the smile on her face turning into a grin. She turned to see Lily rising from bed and stretch.

“Happy Christmas Lily!” Lily smiled and walked over to her friend near the window.

“And a happy Christmas to you too Callie.”

“I’m going to wake the boys.” As she grabbed her cloak Lily smiled and decided to tag along.

“Not going to open your presents first?”

“No, they can wait.” Lily was slightly shocked. She knew Callie’s favorite holiday was Christmas, but she never knew why. She figured being with the Marauders for so long made her love the presents, but she then guessed it was a whole different reason.

Callie took out her wand as she slowly opened the door to the dorm. Smiling, she flicked her wand and set her wordless magic to the test. Slowly buckets of water dumped onto the boys below, soaking them to the bone.

They both jumped out of their beds so fast, Lily could have sworn something deadly happened to them. Callie smiled before pushing herself further into the room. Sirius turned and couldn’t help but smile. Even though his new girlfriend had soaked him and his bed, he was happy.

James rolled his eyes and flicked his own wand so that he, and his bed were dry. He looked up and that is when he noticed the other girl.

“Lily, good morning. Happy Christmas.”

“And happy Christmas to you too Potter.”

“Have you opened my present?” Sirius asked Callie. Callie shook her head and began to talk before Sirius could complain.

“I wanted to see you first, the presents don’t mean too much to me. You know that, and besides you should see the snow outside.” The grin that rested on her face made Sirius smile and kiss her softly.

James smiled and looked over at Lily, “Want to give it a go?” He asked pointing towards the couple. Lily scoffed and rolled her eyes before smacking his head and heading back to her own dorm. Callie laughed before chasing after Lily.

“Good going Prongs,” Sirius mumbled before closing the bathroom door.
