Jake and I walked into the recording box with Nick, Joe, Demi, Kevin, Danielle and Justin watching. We were working on the duet songs for my next cd. Demi and I sang our duet that’s going on her cd and after Jake and I finished our song I would sing the song that Justin and I wrote together. This one that Jake and I are singing though, Nick and I wrote it together. We imagined ourselves having a really bad breakup and we imagined the heartbreak. It really helped with our writing. The music began to play and then I started to sing.

Piercing words, eyes are red

I smiled and gave Jake a side hug. Then he walked out as Justin walked in. he gave me a hug and we talked and joked a little. Then we started.

Once we were done, Nick and I headed over to our radio interview. “You’re here with two of Hollywood’s hottest celebrities, Rachael Lewis and Nick Jonas. How are you both?”

“We’re great” we both said at the same time.

“That’s great” he laughed.

The interview consisted of the usual…talking about our careers, our relationship and whatnot.

“Now here’s a brand new song written by the one and only Nick and Rachael, called On Your Side, here we go”

The music began as Nick and I stood side by side with microphones in front of us. I started to sing.

“…thank you both for joining us today”

“Thanks for having us” Nick said.

“Now before they both leave, Nick is going to sing one more song he had recently written, take it home Jonas” I was confused by it but I watched as Nick stood in front of the microphone and Joe handed him an acoustic guitar…it was my acoustic guitar.

The one he had given to me for Christmas one year. He winked at me. I knew that wink…and that look. He started to sing.

I laughed quietly at that part.

Don't let her think she's a know-it-all.

Then I rolled my eyes at him but he just smiled at me.

But whatever she does wrong, it seems so right.

I listened to his velvet voice sing to me…and this might sound a little dramatic but it was almost like falling in love all over again. I think whenever I hear him sing…and when he sings to me…I fall even harder for him…if it’s even possible.

Nick smiled even more as he continued.

“I loved the song” I said as I held Nick’s hand and laced our fingers together. I got close to him so I could whisper in his ear as we walked down the sidewalk.

“Good” was all he said as he opened the passenger door for me.

I got in and he drove us back to his brand new house! He had already moved some stuff into his room but that’s all that he got done. We walked up to his bedroom. It was definitely him. I walked over to his dresser and above it, on the wall hanging, was my black leather jacket I had given him when we were ten for our first Valentines Day. I smiled. He came up to me and grabbed my hands. We both laid on his bed and I wrapped my hands around his waist, holding him close.

My POV

“Don’t freak out when I say this…but can you see us…together when we get older…?” she asked and just by her tone, I could tell she was nervous.

“Honestly?” I asked and she nodded, not looking at me.

“I cant see myself with anyone else” I told her and she looked up at me.

Her eyes were bright and filled with hope…I saw that she wanted us to be together in the future…and just knowing that, it made me smile…it made my day.

Rachael’s POV

Shia and I sat side by side on a log in front of a fire. It was dark outside. "Action!"

"So...this is what you do for a living...and you think I'm wasting my time"

"I am not wasting my time..." I snapped.

"Haley you can do so much with your life. Your smart and your super creative. I saw your writing on your desk, the night we left. It's really good..."

"I'm helping people Kaleb. I'm not wasting my time" I repeated.

"I’m just saying..."

"Well what do you know? You know nothing about me! Right after dad left, where were you?! Where was my big brother? I left all alone to take care of mom. You told me you would always be there for me...and you weren't...not when I needed u most..."

"Hales...I'm sorry..." I laughed without humor, mockingly.

"Sorry. Yea that really helps the past couple years of my life that you missed" I started to make some tears appear in my eyes.

"Haley...I promise you...things will be different…”

“And cut!” Harry yelled and everyone started to cheer and clap.

“Okay people! That’s a wrap! You all don’t have to go home but you cant stay here!” he told everyone and then came over to Shia and I.

I hugged Shia and we did our little handshake that we made up and then Harry and I did our little hand thing we made up and I hugged him.

“Take care Rachael. We’ll see you in a few months to start promos” he said and I nodded.

Then I rushed over to the car where Anna and Zach had my stuff already packed and ready to go. We all jumped in and headed for the airport. I was heading back to Nick and I couldn’t wait. I was sad that filming was over but I was also happy. It’s one step closer to a bigger life of more opportunities.
