Fireworks

No one knows what's wrong. Sara Giovanni is enviously skinny and has an It Girl best friend, Rachel Rensley. They both seem to be freshman girls with pretty faces and bright futures.
Only Sara's older sister died in a car wreck, a loss that ties her and Rachel unwaveringly. Sara is haunted by the ghost of her sister, and at the same time she's fighting not to displease her.

In a story about anorexia, with music and guitar woven in, Sara discovers mutual love when she least expects it and learns about letting go.

All characters are fictitious, although this is greatly inspired by Laurie Halse Anderson's Wintergirls. Credit for the chapter titles are noted in chapter short descriptions. Banner made by me.
