Gabe Saporta, You Make Me Wanna Lose Control.

Chapter Seven

“Okay, let’s start with Good Girls Go Bad.” Gabe told me, handing me a microphone.

I nodded. “I just have to sing right?” I asked. “I don’t have to dance or shit like that…?”

He chuckled. “Only if you want to.”

“I won’t.” I said firmly.

“Okay, from the top, guys!” Gabe called.

Instantly the music started. [When the letters are bold, Juliett is singing. When the letters are underlined, they are BOTH singing. Remember that throughout the story.]

“I Make Them Good Girls Go Bad
I Make Them Good Girls Go
[Good Girls Go Bad]
[Good Girls Go Bad]

I Know Your Type [Your Type]
Your Daddy’s Little Girl
Just Take A Bite [One Bite]
Let Me Shake Up Your World
Cause Just One Night,
Couldn’t Be So Wrong
I’m Gonna Make You Lose Control

She was so shy
Till I drove her wild

I make them good girls go bad
I make them good girls go bad
You were hanging in the corner
With your five best friends
You heard that I was trouble
But you couldn't resist
I make them good girls go bad
I make them good girls go
Good girls go bad

“Come on, Jules, you gotta loosen up a bit!” Gabe shouted on the microphone. He put his hands on my hips, making me dance.

I opened my mouth to say something, but since it was my turn, I just sang.

“I know your type [Your type]
Boy, you're dangerous
Yeah, you're that guy [That guy]
I'd be stupid to trust
But just one night couldn't be so wrong
You make me wanna lose control”

I shook my hair out, trying to look ‘out of control’. Gabe laughed at my attempt and I laughed with him.

“She was so shy
Till I drove her wild”

His hips bumped against mine, sending a shiver down my spine.

“I make them good girls go bad
I make them good girls go bad

I was hanging in the corner
With my five best friends
I heard that you were trouble
But I couldn't resist”

I smiled up at him, winking.

“I make them good girls go bad
I make them good girls go
Good girls go bad

Oh, she got away with the boys in the place
Treat’em like they don’t stand a chance

And he got away with the girls in the back
Acting like they're too hot to dance

Yeah, she got away with the boys in the place
Treat’em like they don’t stand a chance

And he got away with the girls in the back
Acting like they're too hot to dance

I Make Them Good Girls Go Bad

[Treat’em like they don’t stand a chance]
I Make Them Good Girls Go
The Good Girls Go Bad
...... Yeah

[Good Girls Go]

I was hanging in the corner
With my five best friends
I heard that you were trouble
But I couldn’t resist

I Make Them Good Girls Go Bad
I Make Them Good Girls Go Bad
I Make Them Good Girls Go

[Good Girls Go Bad, Bad, Bad]
Good Girls Go Bad, Bad, Bad
Good Girls Go Bad

The song ended and Gabe high fived me.

“That was great for a first timer; just make sure that you keep it moving!” As he walked away, he slapped my thigh.

I rolled my eyes and walked over to Vicky, who was fixing stuff on her keyboard.

“So, how’d I do?” I asked her cheerfully.

Around me, backstage workers got the stage and lighting ready for the next set, and then after a few more songs, sound check and practice would be over. Then there would be a few hours before the actual show.

Vicky looked up from keyboard and gave me a smile. “You did great.” She started fiddling with more things on the keyboard. “Listen, I’m sorry about yelling at you this morning…” She trailed off.

I shrugged, not really wanting to talk about it. Whenever I thought about it, that kiss would just pop up in my mind, heading to dangerous places. I shook the thoughts away.

“It just looked so…it looked like you guys had slept together. I’m sorry.” Vicky finished, looking awkward.

“At least, though, we got a laugh out of Nate.” I smiled.

She laughed along with me. “I know, right? That was so disgusting!”

I nodded. “Extremely. See, that’s why I don’t drink a lot.”

Vicky rolled her eyes. “The only reason you don’t drink is because you claim ‘the fun is gone.’”

“It is gone!” I defended. “What’s the point of drinking when your parents don’t care anymore? I used to do all that crazy shit just to make them pissed. It worked, I’m out of the house, and I don’t need to do that anymore.”

“Whatever you say.” She muttered, smiling.

I grinned. “Thank you.” As my eyes raked the stage and the whole damn place, my eyes caught Gabe’s dark brown ones. Something about the way he looked at me made me remember that kiss, and wish it had been so much more.

I got the title from the song Good Girls Go Bad. It's in the second verse, Leighton sings "You Make Me Wanna Lose Control."
(:
I like that song, it makes you wanna get up and dance.
