Baby I'm Amazed by You

Normal POV; Rachel’s POV
I was so excited; in just a few short hours, we would all be on a plane that is taking us to Australia. It was great how it was finally summer and we could do anything we wanted! This trip was going to be amazing since we all have wanted to go there for a really long time.

“Rachel, do you have all your bags and everything? Because Denise, Paul, the boys and Bridget will all be here in a few minutes, so please hurry up and get down here!!!!” I heard my mom yell from downstairs.

“Coming!!!” I yelled, as I grabbed my phone, slipping it in to my pocket before grabbing my bags and heading toward the stairs.

After I got downstairs, I set my bags in the front room by the door and made my way in to the living room. About fifteen minutes later, the doorbell rang, which meant that the boys, their family and Bridget were here.

“So are you guys ready?” Denise asked.

“Yeah!” we all said grabbing our bags before heading outside. About 35 minutes later, we were at the nearest airport on the outskirts of our hometown; Malibu, California.

We all got all of our baggage and stuff checked in before we headed over to the security check point. After that crazy half-an-hour of getting through the security check point, we all went and waited to board the lovely plane that would be taking us all the way to Australia.

Once we all heard a lady come over the loud speaker, announcing that our flight, 218 to Australia was now boarding, we all jumped up and headed toward where we go to get on the plane. Before we all knew it, we were on the plane, heading to Australia.

About 14-and-a-half-hours later, we finally arrived in Sydney, Australia. Once we all went and grabbed our luggage from baggage claim, we all went outside to wait for a cab. After waiting about 5 minutes, one pulled up. Due to all of the stuff that we had with us, we had to take two cabs to the hotel.

Fifteen long minutes later, we arrived at the hotel we were staying at for the next week and a half. We all piled out of the cab along with our stuff and in to the huge lobby of the hotel.

“Okay, room assignments,” Denise stated, handing over Kevin his and Jessica’s room key.

“Rachel and Bridget, here’s yours,” Denise said, handing over mine and Bridget’s room key, well keys since there were two. I’m guessing that Joe and Nick would be sharing one together while Frankie was with Denise and Paul since he was the youngest.

“Joseph, here’s yours and Nicholas’ key,” she handed over their keys to Joe, who tightened his grip on it as she handed it over. After loosening his grip a bit, he handed Nick his room key.

“So, what floor are we on?” Bridget said, looking down at our room key that I held in my hands.

“Floor 14, room 312,” I stated, looking over at my best friend.

“We’re floor 14, too, room 309,” Joe said, going over and kissing Bridget, pulling her closer in his arms. I smiled; they were adorable.

“Hey I’m going to take my stuff up to our room, see you later!” she said, as Joe started helping her with her bags as they headed for the elevator.

With that, Nick and I were left standing there in the lobby together, alone.

“So, uh, Rach, w-would you like to go o-out with me sometime?” he asked, staring over at me, breaking the silence, smiling.

“Yeah, I’d love to, Nicky!” I smiled, using his childhood nickname I used to call him when we were younger.

“Haha, sweet, so, how about we go down and walk around a bit tomorrow on the beach?” he asked, smiling. “Yeah!” I said.

“So, maybe we should head up…” I said, reaching over and grabbing the handle of my suitcase.

“Yeah,” he said, grabbing a hold of his rolling suitcase. Once we made our way in to the elevator with all our luggage, Nick reached over and pressed the button to our floor. About 15 minutes later, we heard the ding go off, signaling that we reached our floor.

After walking down the hall way a bit, we finally reached the both of our rooms, which were right across the hall from each other. “So, I’ll see you tomorrow, about noon, then?” Nick asked, smiling over at me.

“Yeah,” I smiled as he leaned over and kissed my cheek. Little did he know that I was head over heels in love with him. I’ve heard from Joe that Nick is in love with me too.

“Night, Rach,” Nick said, looking over at me as he began to fumble with the room key in his front pocket.

“Night Nick, see you in the morning!” I smiled, before pulling out my room key, sliding it in to the slot and opening the door.

I did not expect to walk in on Bridget making out with Joe on one of the empty beds in our hotel room. After quietly closing the door, I dropped my bags on the floor and cleared my throat, hoping that would get their attention.

I couldn’t help but crack a smile as they parted, Joe groaning slightly.

“Joe, you know, this is mine and Bridget’s hotel room…why can’t you go do that somewhere else? Preferably in yours and Nick’s room?” I asked, looking over at them.

“I guess...” he said under his breath. “Babe, you wanna stay with me in my room tonight?” Joe asked, smiling over at Bridget, pulling her closer a bit.

“S-sure. Rach, are you okay with that? I mean, you can probably get Nick over here I’m sure of it.” Bridget smiled over at me.

“Yeah, I’m gonna go see if he wants to,” I said, smiling.

“Okay,” Bridget said as she followed right behind me with Joe. I moved to the side so I could let them get ahead of me. After Joe opened the door Nick stepped out.

“Hey,” I smiled.

“Hey Rach,” he smiled back.

“Wanna go hang out in my room since Bridget and Joe are there in your room?” I said, looking over at him.

“Sure,” he smiled. After we got back in to my room, I shut the door before we went and sat down on my bed.

“So, Rach, um, I was going to wait until tomorrow to ask you this but, w-will you be my girlfriend?” Nick asked, looking over at me.

“Yeah, I’d love to be your girlfriend,” I smiled as he scooted a bit closer and took my hand, lacing his fingers together with mine.

That night, I fell asleep in Nick’s safe, loving arms while he held me close.
