Sequel: Carpe Diem

Sink Into Me

Fifty One.

Taylor’s POV.

I walked around aimlessly trying to find Hayden, but you could swear she’d disappeared off of the face of the earth or something, considering I couldn’t find her anywhere, or anyone else for that matter. Although, as I was about to give up Hayden ran into me. Literally.

“Ow! Shit, Hayden!” I laughed as I rubbed my shoulder.

She just grinned at me.

“And where’s my apology?” I scoffed.

“You don’t get one, anyway, I think they’re going to start shooting again soon”

“Yeah no shit, I heard the director announce it just like everyone else did” I laughed as I hit her across the head playfully.

“And where’s MY apology?!” She questioned.

“You don’t get one” I mimicked.

She just rolled her eyes in response and flipped me off.

“Anyway, where the hell did you go?!” I exclaimed “I’ve been trying to find you!”

“Oh I had some business to take care of” She shrugged.

I raised my eyebrow “You sound like a hitman,”

“Yeah, but it’ll be one knock-out punch you’ll be getting”

What?

“Excuse me?” I laughed.

“Nothing, nothing at all” she grinned.

I’d never met anyone like this girl, can you say crazy?

“Riiiiight” I scoffed.

“Okay, we’re going to resume shooting now, so all extras please be quiet at the back or step outside!” The director announced.

We started watching quietly from the back of the room, but I couldn’t help but notice how there was definitely something wrong with Adam, he just looked so…I don’t know, freaked I guess, as well as messing up quite a few of the lyrics. Even I couldn’t help but wonder what the hell was going through his head.

“What the hell’s wrong with Adam?” I whispered quietly to Hayden.

She bit her lip and shrugged.

“Beats me”

Even I of all people couldn’t help but feel a little concerned about him.

“Okay, take five!” The director sighed, clearly stressed.

All of the guys walked off stage and in the direction of the catering table, well, everyone except Adam.
Before I’d even processed what I was doing I found my legs moving at a quick pace towards Adam as I ignored the shouts of “where are you going, Taylor?!” from Hayden behind me.
As I walked through the door that Adam had only walked through moments ago I had to stop myself from accidently walking into his back as I noticed he was sat on the steps infront of me.
I manouvered myself around him and knelt down infront of him so I was level, believe me, I didn’t know why I was doing it either.

“Hi” He mumbled, looking down at the ground.

“What’s wrong?” I asked, concern evident in my voice.

He raised an eyebrow at me and sighed, which confused me even more, and believe me I was confused enough as it was.

“Just..things” He shrugged trying to play it off.

“Okay, we both know it’s not something you can just play off”

He looked at me suspiciously.

“And how do we both know that?” He asked slowly.

“Because whatever it is is clearly bothering you.”

“Oh, right…” He trailed off.

And what happened next could not have possibly shocked him more than it shocked me. I moved myself from in front of him and sat directly beside him, placing my head on his shoulder gently in some what reassurance was my explanation at the time, because quite frankly, it scared me. Adam sighed from beside me and gently slung his arm over my shoulder. It was quite nice really, well that was until the awkwardness began to kick in, especially when someone coughed from behind us which caused me to jump up and move away from Adam quickly.

“Shooting’s starting again in two minutes, we’re re-shooting what we just shot then we’re wrapping it up” the director announced once more.

“We..uh…should go back inside” Adam said awkwardly as he sped off back inside, walking as far away from the door as possible.

Adam’s POV.

This is crazy, I mean, she doesn’t know how I feel and I intend to keep it that way as it’s as hard for me to accept my feelings than it is for anyone else, well, anyone else except Hayden to know about them. So, to stop any possible suspicion towards me about the way I’d been acting I was going to do the only thing that seemed logical. I’m going to stay away from Taylor. I know what you’re thinking, “way to be unreasonable!” right? Well, that may be so but it made perfect sense at the time, well, to me.
