Sequel: Carpe Diem

Sink Into Me

Fifty Seven.

After about an hour in Starbucks we decided we’d better make a move or we wouldn’t leave. Hayden was so excited to get back she literally pulled me the whole way back, I didn’t understand what it was with her liking to pull me everywhere she went, but then again I suppose this time it was different, considering I wanted to see what we’d missed too, but not enough to pull someone along, ha. Hayden practically ran up the steps to the house with me in tow as she pushed the door open forcefully.

“You’re a bit anxious aren’t you?” Lidia laughed as she walked towards us and wrapped her arms around me.

“What’ve I missed?” I laughed as I hugged her back.

“Not much, only a couple of arguments”

“Between who?! tell tell TELL!” Hayden demanded, jumping up and down on the spot.

“Well Adam and Matt and an argument, and he shouted at whatever her name is for being such a bitch to you” She said as we broke apart.

I could always rely on Matt, he was like my brother rather than my cousin.

“So where’s everyone now?” I questioned.

“In the kitchen, we’ve been waiting for you all to get back”

“Malibu Barbie isn’t in there is she?” I glared.

Lidia laughed. “No she’s not, she’s gone home, but Adam is”

“Oh the joy” Hayden said as she rolled her eyes.

“You took the words right out of my mouth” I laughed.

The three of us walked towards the kitchen, and in all honestly, I had no idea what to expect. As we walked in all eyes were on us, except for Adam’s who was stood with Matt in the corner.

“Adam has something he wants to say to you both” Matt said as he glared at Adam, nudging him.

“Alright, there’s no need to treat me like I’m five we are the same age you know” Adam scoffed.

“Asshole” Hayden muttered under her breath. I couldn’t help but smile a little.

“Just get on with it!” Lidia exclaimed.

“I’m sorry” He muttered.

“You know we’re not going to accept his apology, right? It’s not going to change anything” I said to Matt.

“I’m not saying it will, but he at least needs to say it after everything”

“Good point” Hayden agreed.

“Well now that’s over can we please have a good night?” I laughed.

“I’m going over to Cindy’s, so yeah, bye.” Adam scoffed as he walked out of the kitchen.

“Dick!” Hayden shouted after him.

“We don’t need him to have a good time anyway, and we never will, although I think my definition of a good night when I have a hangover is to just chill ” I laughed.

And that’s exactly what we did. We all spent the rest of the night in the lounge just watching movies and eating our body weight in junk food and just generally had a great time, plus it was definitely the perfect way in attempting to try and forget that you were truly and completely hung-over. A part of me couldn’t wait to get the rest of that night over and done with though, as I couldn’t seem to shake that awful feeling of what’d happened, don’t get me wrong there wasn’t a shred of me that felt guilty about punching that slut, but I couldn’t help but feel a little sad, and I didn’t know why at the time, I figured it was just a whole new wave of emotions hitting me yet again, but like I said, I couldn’t seem to shake it.
It was hard to believe that this whole thing had happened in five weeks, it was also hard to believe that I’d be going home in just over a week, I knew I’d miss everything and everyone so much, well, I say everyone, clearly I mean the majority of people, If I left with my sanity I knew it’d be a miracle, but I was so close to being pushed over the edge I didn’t know what to think, not that I’d let anyone else know any of this but you know.
I woke up the next morning not even aware that I’d fallen asleep in the first place, to the buzzing of my alarm clock, I couldn’t even remember setting it which made it worse, or maybe I didn’t even set it, I had the feeling Hayden was behind this inhumane torture. I rolled over once again to see what the time was. The clock read eleven thirty five, in a way I had to thank Hayden for setting my alarm, because at that rate I would’ve been sleeping all day considering the time already, but the best thing was that I didn’t feel hung-over at all anymore, it was all good my friends.
I dragged myself out of bed and walked over the my wardrobe, picking out the clothes I was going to wear on that hopefully more upbeat day than yesterday, but I had this feeling that it really wasn’t going to be that much better, and I couldn’t help but think that through my shower down to when I stepped off the last step of the stairs about twenty minutes later, making my way towards the kitchen.
Sadly for me, my feeling that it wasn’t going to be much better than yesterday wasn’t just a feeling at all. My blood started to boil as soon as I laid eyes on the bimbo Barbie sat on one of the chairs at the breakfast bar, smirking at me.

“Didn’t you get the message yesterday? You’re not welcome here, so if I were you I’d get the fuck out right now” I spat.

“Oh shut up Taylor, Adam’s told me all about you, you’re pathetic” She smirked.

I couldn’t help but notice the nice purple bruise across her jaw.

“Nice shiner you’ve got there” I smirked.

She glared at me as she jumped down off the chair and began to make her way over to me.

“I’m pretty sure Matt kicked you out yesterday, so just go before everyone else gets back as I’m assuming they’re not here, considering you‘d be rolling down the steps right now on your knees where you belong”

“Oh your words cut me like a knife” She spat sarcastically.

“Don’t push it, Barbie. You couldn’t even scare a fly, so I wouldn’t bother in the slightest to even attempt to intimidate me” I scoffed as I pushed past her roughly.

“I don’t need to intimidate you, I know your weaknesses” She replied smugly.

“Yeah sure you do, keep talking Barbie and you’ll have a nice black eye to go with that bruised jaw, which I must say would make your face a hell of a lot better than it is now” I sneered.

“I know that you’re insecure, that’s for sure”

“Oh really? And how do you supposedly know that?” I retorted.

“I have my ways, and I also know that you have feelings for Adam, it’s not exactly rocket science, I can tell by the way that what he said hurt you yesterday, I could see it in your eyes”
This girl was cruising for another bruising.

“I wouldn’t have feelings for Adam if he were the last guy on earth, how anyone could like him is beyond me, but I’m glad you two have each other, you’re both as pathetic as the other” I scoffed as I walked towards her.

“I’m telling you now, and I’m not going to say it again, stay away from Adam” she warned.

“Oh please, like I’d want to go near him, and incase you’re forgetting, we live under the same roof you dumb bitch”

“That may be so for now, but I know you don’t permanently live here, you live in England” She stated matter-o-factly.

“Aw you’ve been doing your research? What a good little slut” I grinned.

“Stay.away.from.him.” she seethed.

I couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

“You’re so pathetic, please consider investing in a life”

I know I was sounding all tough and that I didn’t give a fuck and I really didn‘t, but I couldn’t help but think it’d be so much easier if I went home early, I’m in no way saying that I’d go so that she’d win, but I was getting sick of this, and it’d only been two days, I didn’t know if I could cope another week with this disease hovering around everywhere I went.

“You better watch your back, Taylor. I mean it.”

“And what could you possibly do to me?” I laughed.

“Oh you’d be surprised.” She taunted.

What a load of bullshit.

Before I could say anything else though, the door opened and the sound of footsteps and voices filled the air.

“What the fuck is she doing here?!” I heard Lidia and Hayden yell in unison.

“Oh don’t worry, Barbie was just leaving” I said as I glared at her once more.

“Hey, lay off!” Adam shouted as he walked over, pushing past me.

“Oh, and here’s mister pathetic to join her, what a perfect couple” I scoffed as I spun around on my heel and walked towards the others.

“I think it’s best if you two just go” Matt stated.

Adam just rolled his eyes and grabbed Cindy’s hand, pulling her through the kitchen and towards the door, shutting it forcefully behind him.
It made me smile how Hayden, Matt, Lidia, Fred, and Mark stood there with their arms crossed disapprovingly, I was so thankful to have them all in my life.

“Are you okay, Tay?” Matt asked as he walked over to me and wrapped his arms around me tightly.

“Never better” I chuckled as I hugged him back just as tight.

“You know I love you, right?” Matt asked.

“Of course I do, you’re like my brother, and I love you too” I smiled.

“Awe!” everyone cooed in unison.

“Happy times, happy times!” Hayden cheered as she gave Lidia a side hug, who grinned.

I smiled to myself, I had the best people around me who I knew would always have my back, and I felt that nothing could bring me down. Unfortunately though, that’s only what I thought, it’s not what happened.
