Chapter 37
Jessica’s POV
I woke up to the sound of a beep and the smell of disinfectant. I opened my eyes to see I was in a hospital room, laid in bed. I reached up and winced feeling the knot under my bandages, I must have passed out. I looked beside me and saw Brian passed out in the chair placed there; I smiled at the sight before I reached over and shook him a little
“Brian? Wake up please” his eyes opened slowly and he blinked to clear them. Once he was seeing properly he looked at me and seeing me awake he jumped up from his chair
“Jess! I’m so glad you’re awake!” I smiled and nodded
“yeah I’m fine, what happened though?” he frowned
“you don’t remember?” I shook my head and he frowned more but shook his head
“there was an incident with Michelle in the studio, it’s probably best you don’t remember it really” I nodded knowing I probably didn’t.
Brian went and told the others I was fine and they all piled into the room ignoring the nurse who told them not to come in all at once, they never were one for rules and it made me smile knowing they all cared.
Val kept apologising for what Michelle did but I told her it wasn’t her fault she wasn’t Michelle so she wasn’t the one that did this to me.
“but I’m her sister, her twin I should have known she would do this”
“you couldn’t have known she was crazy” thank you Johnny
“I should have though! What kind of a twin doesn’t know her sisters gone off the deep end?” she just kept up with that until Matt took her out and home, he said she was just a little distraught over it and I understood really.
I was released, allowed to go home though I had to have someone with me, I chose Brian to come, sure Hannah was there living with me but I really just wanted Brian right now, he was my comfort.
He carried me into the house and we went straight to my room, not bothering with food. He set me gently on the bed and told me he was going to take his clothes off so while he was in the bathroom I tugged off my clothes noticing the blood on the collar of my shirt and threw them in the washing basket before I pulled on my shorts and tank PJ’s.
Brian came back in and smiled seeing me already snuggled into the blankets. I giggled and he came and got into bed with me, pulling me towards him though he was careful of my head, not wanting to hurt my bump anymore. I laid my head gently on his chest and listened to his chest rumble lightly as he breathed
“thank you for staying Brian”
“no problem, I’d do it anytime for you Jess” I smiled to myself and took his hand in mine
“I would for you too” he chuckled
“I would hope so” I laughed and then relaxed letting myself fall into a deep sleep.
