Returning to You

Val’s POV

I sighed into the phone as I talked to Matt
“it’s horrible Mattie, they all just sit around moping all the time, it’s hopeless really” Matt sighed on his end of the phone
“the guys are bad as well really, Jimmy especially is annoying me with his attitude about Leana, if he isn’t on the phone with her he is talking about her” I giggled
“aww sounds sweet”
“you don’t hear him night and day” Matt mumbled and I grinned to myself
“aww poor you, so how is it going with everyone else?”
“well Zacky is pretty damn happy having Hannah though he gets kind of mopey for a moment after getting off the webcam with her but he livens himself up quickly” I laughed
“yeah Hannah is really giddy when she sees that he is online though she kind of retreats after getting off the computer” Matt chuckled
“Johnny is the same as ever with his phone” I nodded
“yeah Lacey always smiles when she see’s it’s him on the phone”
“don’t listen in on the conversation! I made that mistake and got a rather more intimate description of Lacey than I ever wanted to have” I laughed
“really? Wow” Matt groaned
“don’t! God it was torture” I giggled again before I sighed
“are we going to mention the ones we don’t want to” I heard Matt give an answering sigh
“I don’t know what to do Val” I could picture him gripping his short hair in frustration “he refuses to just call her and tell her that he misses her, he just sits in his bunk playing his guitar or smoking” I shook my head
“that sounds bad, he started that up again?”
“well he never really gave up but he smokes like three packets a day now” I groaned
“that is bad, though Jess isn’t any better really, by the way we can see the floor in our bedroom now”
“what?” Matt asked shocked
“oh yeah we were sat watching a film and Jess suddenly jumps up and disappears, I go searching for her and find her cleaning up the house. When I asked her what was going on she said she couldn’t sit still any longer, when we force her to she gets this heartbroken face so we just let her get on with it” Matt sighed
“sounds like you don’t have it much better”
“not really but you know it’s their own fault, if they would just admit how much they miss each other”
“but they won’t because they are both stubborn as hell” I shook my head before I replied
“we are gonna have to do something, you know they won’t”
“how about you girls come sooner than you were planning, the guys miss them and I’m betting that them seeing each other soon will sort it out, they can admit it to each other how much they missed the other and we can all get on with it, if not we can kidnap them and tie them up until they promise to keep in touch more” I giggled
“good plan Matt, I will talk to the girls ok”
“yeah, talk to you later babe and I miss you, so damn much”
“I miss you too” I said softly before we both hung up.
I sat for a moment thinking about Matt before I clutched the phone tighter and started texting the girls planning an emergency meeting to discuss this though I left Jess out wanting it to be a surprise.
