Not an Angel Yet

I slowly got out of my car, dreading walking into that house once more.
I saw the curtains move and then the front door flew open.
"Haydee?" It was Bella.
I nodded.
She smiled widely and ran up to me, hugging me.
It took all that i had to keep from wincing and screaming.

I smiled lightly and hugged her back.
"Come inside, We've been waiting for you." She said and took my hand, leading me into the house that i remembered so much.

As i walked in, one pair of eyes seemed to burn through my skin. Jaspers eyes.
He was staring at me, as if he thought i was a figment of his imagination.
He didn't believe i was real.
I smiled at everyone,
and breathed in deeply as i was embraced by Esme.

Edward looked at me as i pulled out of Esme's grasp,
and he frowned.
He knew about Greg.
He was the only one.

He wanted him dead.
I wanted him to kill him too.
But he knew not to say anything.
Not infront of Emmett.
Not infront of Bella.
Not infront of Jacob.
And definatley not infront of Jasper.

We sat and talked for hours,
basically about the old times we shared.
And how i was doing.
Where i worked.
Where i lived.

Almost all of my answers were lies.

"Here, let me take your coat. You must be burning up." Bella said, and before i could protest, my jacket was gone, and my arms and neck were exposed.
She gasped and dropped my jacket.
Everyone just stared.
I picked my jacket back up and pulled it back on.
"Can we pretend nobody saw that?" I whispered.

"You never told me it was that bad.." Edward whispered and came over to me, softly sliding the jacket off of me again.
Carlisle walked over to us and examined what he could see, shaking his head.
"Are there others?" He whispered softly.
I looked down and nodded.
"Where?" He asked, appalled.
"Almost every inch of my skin is covered.." I whispered and took off my glasses,
revealing the burns on my face.
Bella but her hand over her mouth in shock, and Jasper growled.

I looked up at him, only to see him run out the door, Edward running after him.
