Dead in the Water

Busted

(Amanda’s POV)
I pulled up in front of Pete’s and everyone was already standing outside waiting for me. Nonnie walked over to me. Frank followed behind her.

“I hope you didn’t mind but I called Frank. I thought we might need all the help we can get.” She replied.

“Frank.” I said acknowledging him.

“Amanda.” He said doing the same.

I did not like him but I liked him if that made sense. I just did not want to see Nonnie get hurt and part of me still wishes that she was with Joe but she made her decision and I had to accept it. Looking at how happy Frank made her only made me want to warn them about Gerard more but I knew that it has to wait until we find my sister. Nonnie would be safe tonight if we all stayed in a group.

Pete split everyone up into three cars, mine, Pete and Frank’s. Pete knew where this abandoned club was located. I ended up following him. We found a spot to park our cars, and hidden from any vampire eyes.

“Ok, remember to be on the lookout for Ian. He may have beaten us here and Beckett may have his men out. They don’t know that he is dead.” I said letting it slip.

“Wait a minute. You mean to tell me that when you said that Beckett wouldn’t be a problem, you actually killed him?” Pete asked.

“Yes.” I replied.

“I don’t believe you.” Pete said grabbing my shoulder and making me close my eyes. Somehow, Pete got into my memories when he touched me and saw everything.

“She really did.” Pete said.

“Amanda, are you ok with it?” Erelin asked.

“I am sorry Pete and Frank. I know how much it meant for you guys to kill him but you do not have to go through the pain I am…I mean went through. I am still alive but he was always in my dreams and in my head. I heard his thoughts and his laugh. You do not know what it is like to know that you died and is die…I mean died and came back and have nightmares flash from it. At least you were turned and that was that. I felt haunted. That is one reason why I always seemed so distant to you guys. It was like pure torture.” I said.

“Well, you certainly kicked the shit out of him.” Pete said shaking his head.

“Wow. I guess you are stronger than I thought.” Frank said. You do not know the half of it I wanted to tell him.

“The answer to your question Erelin is yes I am ok with it now. I feel at peace just a bit. I may seem different to you guys but I still have one last fight left in me and that is kicking Ian’s sorry ass.” I said.

“What do you mean by one last fight?” Erelin asked confused.

“Uh, I just mean that after Ian, I think I am retiring.” I said covering my tracks.

“Well, let’s do this if we are going to do this.” Pete said giving me a smile. He was going to save the love of his life and I was going to see Sisky again. Elissa would live another day without Ian interfering in her life.

Everyone was on the lookout. We stormed into the club. Ian had not showed up yet but Beckett’s men were left in the building. We started fighting until Pete grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the way of fighting. Pete, Patrick, Joe, and Nonnie and me all went to the back of the club as the others made sure none of Beckett’s men got a hold of us.

“There are three doors in this hallway. Which one do you think they are in?” Patrick asked.

“Try them all.” I said jiggling the lock of one door and breaking it in to find no Sisky or Elissa.

“Maybe it’s this one.” Pete said with a running start and busting through the door of the second room. “No.” He said coming out of it.

“Here, let me pick this lock.” I said on the last room. “Bingo!” I said as I opened the door.

Pete and I walked in first only to find my sister and my boyfriend lying naked together but sitting up with their clothes in their hands with shocked looks on their faces. This is not happening. My sister has not been sleeping with my boyfriend and stealing him from me.

“Amanda this isn’t what it looks like.” Sisky said as I stood there for a second trying to grasp what I had just walked into.
