Dead in the Water

See You Later Love

(Nonnie’s POV)

I felt like I was falling. Then with a crash I landed on the ground, it jarred me from my sleep. I looked around to see Erelin, Brendon and Frank along with Gerard. Frank came over to me lifting me into his arms.

“Can you walk?” he asked. I nodded and he put my feet back on the ground. I swayed a bit, but he held onto me until I steadied. It became apparent to me that Gerard must have dropped me to fight Erelin.

“Get away from her, she’s mine.” Gerard said as he tried to fight off Erelin.

“Frank get her to the car, I won’t be long.” I touched my neck where Gerard had bitten me, it was almost exactly were Frank had bitten me before.

“Don’t let them leave,” Gerard commanded. Four vampires came out of nowhere. Frank and Brendon stepped in front of me and they started to fight. “Nonnie come here.” My feet started moving toward him. I tried not to. I tried to go toward Frank. It was like someone was controlling me.

“Nonnie, no!” Frank screamed as he kept fighting. Gerard and Erelin were still fighting too.

“That’s it sugar,” Gerard said in my head.

“Gerard I know you don’t wanna hurt me, let me go.” I begged.

“Don’t worry babe, I’ll take good care of you.” My feet kept getting closer. I saw Erelin was trying to be careful I was so close to the fight that one of them could hit me at any time. Frank wrapped his arms around my waist lifting me from the ground and Erelin hit Gerard sending him to the ground. She pulled out a stake.

“No!!!” I screamed. She looked up at me.

“Stay away from her,” she said then Frank carried me to the car.

“I’ll stay away, but I can’t guarantee she will stay away from me.” Gerard yelled from behind us. My head was hurting, I think it had to do with my not going to Gerard as he had commanded me. I wiped my nose and saw that it was bleeding.

“Frank I hate to say this, but you have to bit her. It’s the only way to keep her from running back to him. He has control over her the only way to break it is if you bite her.” Brendon said. He put my feet back on the ground and I started fighting him. I mean I was giving him everything I had in me trying to get back to where Gerard was. I just wanted the pain in my head to stop. He grabbed both of my wrists and I struggled to get free.

“Come on Sugar,” Gerard coaxed.

“Please stop,” I yelled. The more he called me the more my head hurt. Frank pulled me against his body pinning my hands against his chest. I still kept struggling.

“Nonnie, I’m going to fix it now,” I could barely hear him over Gerard’s yelling in my head. Then I felt Frank’s teeth pierce my skin every muscle in my body relaxed against his body and he held me upright. I felt him drinking me unlike Gerard who had only bitten.

“I’ll see you later Sugar,” I heard Gerard whisper across my mind then he was gone.

“Frank…” I said trying to tell him to stop. I knew what was happening. He was losing control. He pulled away from me and I fell back into Erelin.

“I’m sorry, I…I lost control for a second. Erelin, Brendon take her home.” He said. He looked like he was pissed.

“Frank…” I stood up and walked toward him.

“Nonnie don’t, just go home.”

“No,”

“Get in the car,” he said my feet started to move and the headache started again.

“No!” I said trying to plant my feet.

“Frank you’re hurting her.” Erelin said. “Just come with us. She’ll come if you come too.” I knew why he was mad. He was mad I didn’t let Erelin kill Gerard. I don’t know why I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t watch him turn to dust. He was like my big brother.

“I have to go after Gerard.” He said.

“Not alone. He had a lot of help and I’m sure he had more.” I walked over to him. “Please,” I said wrapping my arms around him. “I just wanna go home and I can’t go there knowing you’re out here trying to kill, my best friend.”

“He’s not our Gerard anymore. He’s a monster, next time Non I’m going to kill him. He wants you and I can’t let him change you.” He walked with me over to Erelin’s car.
