Simon Says...

When I Turned The Television On.

| Seth Paver |

"Stop! Don't move!"

I stare at Alice who is clutching the doorknob tightly, catching her breath.

"Alice?"

She looks at me suspiciously and walks toward me.

"Seth Paver? Is that really you?"
"What? What are you talking about?"
"Shut up. Don't you dare trick me, because you'll never win. Your game is over now, Seth."
"Uh, Alice? Are you okay? What game?"
"Whatever. I know you're Seth Paver."
"I am not Seth Paver!"
"Yes you are! You're Seth, you stupid freak!"

I flinch and answer back.

"Why won't you believe me?"

I watch her circle me.

"All those news about Seth's escape... no one knows where he is."
"And?"
"That just means you're Seth Paver."
"That doesn't even make any sense! I told you, Alice, I'm not Seth!"
"Then prove to me that you really aren't Seth."
"I have wavy, blonde hair."
"It's possible that Seth could have dyed his hair."

Ah, shit.
She's one clever girl.

"My hair's natural!"
"We'll see about that. Continue."
"I don't speak like him."
"..."

GOTCHA!

"Well, Seth may have a lot of different accents..."
"Well then, give me one."
"..."

SCORE!

"I don't have a bodyguard with me."
"It could be that he's hiding in this room right now."
"Why don't you check then?"

I smirk at her.

"Go ahead."

She glares at me and searches my room.
She opens all the cabinets and doors.

"See, there's no one in here. It's only me and you."
"...fine. So you really aren't Seth Paver?"
"No. I'm not him."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure. I'm telling the truth."
"How should I be sure? I still got my eyes on you though."
"Uh, okay? Can you please leave my room now?"
"..."
"Right. Bye."

She leaves my room then looks back at me.
She glares at me one last time and steps out of my room.
I close the door and let out a heavy sigh of relief.

Crap.

That was so close.
