Temporary Home

The next morning, I was woken up and prepped for surgery. Everyone said they'd be waiting for me when I got out. The surgery would only take fifteen minutes, then an hour for me to wake up.

When I did wake up, I felt really off. There was so much pain in my throat. The nurse asked me if I wanted morphine and I nodded my head.

Dad and Jimmy were there. They kept telling the nurse things, but I didn't understand what they were saying.

I was released a few hours later and glad to be going home. As soon as I walked through the door, I went to the couch and lay down.

*Brian's P.O.V.*

I walked into the living room to see Kelsi already passed out on the couch. I laughed softly, putting a blanket over her. "Dude, she does not do good on morphine," Zacky laughed as they followed me in.

"Poor thing. It looked like she could barely walk," Val said, looking at Kels.

"I'm just glad she's home," I said, bending over and kissing her forehead.
