Love Makes Blind

Prude.

[Paul's Point of View]

I stared at Darin. I was frozen. I didn’t know what he was talking about.
“I said; get the hell away from my sister!” he yelled again.
I let go of Elia’s hand and took an involuntary step away from her.
“What is wrong?” Elia asked in a shocked voice as she grabbed my hand again.
“Don’t you dare hurt her!” Darin was fuming.
I was too shocked to move a muscle. I didn’t know what he was talking about, because, there is no way he could have known what Elia and I had been doing.
“Darin, what are you talking about?” Elia walked up to him and put a hand on his shoulder.

“I know what you are.” He stared straight at me.
Elia was calmer than me, or not so shocked. “What do you know?” she asked softly. Something told me that she had calmed him down before.
“Leah told me what you are. She said you could hurt Elia! I won’t let you hurt her.” He was still staring at me with anger filled eyes.
“Where is Leah?” Elia asked sounding worried. “Did you upset her? God, please Darin. Get a grip of yourself! I’m safe!”
He shook his head as if to clear it. “I don’t know.”
Elia hugged him. It felt like I was a bystander. I looked down the driveway and saw Leah walking up it. She had been crying, that was rare, she hated shoving emotions.

“Darin,” she said as she stopped at the porch. She shook her head. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said anything.”
Darin let go of Elia and turned to Leah. “I- I’m- I don’t know what to say.”
“I understand.” She walked away.

Elia gripped Darin’s arm and turned him to face her. She did something that surprised me; she kicked his foot, it looked hilarious, so I had to hold back laughter.
“Go after her, stupid, you have to fix this! I have no problem with the shape-shifting thing, and you don’t have to either.” She pushed him down the porch. “I’ll talk to you tomorrow after I come home. Grow up Darin.” She walked back into the house and closed the door. She sank down against it and sat at the floor.

I sat down beside her and put an arm around her when I spotted a tear on her cheek.
“I’m sorry…” she whispered and buried her face in my shirt.
“It’s not your fault.” I tried to soothe her.
“But it is. I should have been there. I forgot how Daring get’s when he thinks I’m in danger. What if I have ruined their relationship? What if Leah doesn’t forgive him or he doesn’t want to be with her?” she put her head on my shoulder.
I sighed and kissed her forehead. “It. Is. Not. Your. Fault.” I said sternly. “Emily totally freaked when she found out about Sam, she refused to see him for days, but look at them now; their engaged and is getting married this July.”
“Really?” she asked me.
“Yes.” I smiled. “Now come on. Let’s go to the beach.” I pulled her up from the floor and led her outside.

We walked hand in hand.
“Paul?” Elia asked after we had walked for awhile.
“Yes, Elia?” I brushed my fingers down her face.
“Do you sometimes wish you’d imprint on someone other than me, someone that wasn’t blind?” she put her head down, as if to look at the dirt road.
I stopped and lifted her head to kiss her lips softly. “I don’t wish I had imprinted on someone else, but I do sometimes wish you weren’t blind.” I told her truthfully.
She nodded.
“But you’re going to get that surgery; I’ll pay for it myself if I have to.” I wrapped my arms around her waist; she wrapped her arms around my neck.

“Thank you.” She smiled before kissing me, I was surprised when I felt how lustful it was.
I pulled away and stared at her. “Are you going to start acting this way, just because I said we would wait with sex?”
Elia smirked. “You’ll just have to wait and see.”
“Tease.” I ruffled her hair.
She stood on her tiptoes and ruffled my hair. “Prude.”
My mouth fell open. “I’m not prude.”
“Prove it.” she taunted.
I groaned. “I guess I just have to be prude for awhile then.”
Elia frowned.
“Hey, we are doing the right thing.” I told her.
“If you say so.” She mumbled and ran her hand down my stomach and down to my thigh.
I moaned quietly. “Mean.”

She laughed and ran ahead of me. I caught up with her quickly. We were at the beach, so I threw her down on the sand, I landed beside her but climbed over her.
“Be careful with what you’re doing, I’ll punish you.” I smirked down at her.
“And what will the punishment be? Will you fuck me?” she raised her eyebrow.
Damn, where did she get all the confidence from? “No, but maybe something close to it.”

I could see a smile creeping onto her lips. She rolled over so she was hovering over me. She bent down and kissed my soft spot. I moaned as she started sucking it.
“You know my body pretty well for being blind.” I said and rolled over again. I let my hand travel up her leg to her thigh, but just before I got near her underwear she stopped me.

“Paul. We’re at the beach.” She said with wide eyes.
“Fuck, you’re right.” I sighed and rested my head on her shoulder.
She ran her hand thorough my hair. “We could go back to your empty house, you know…”
I shook my head and stood up. I brushed myself off, before doing the same to her dress. “No, I’m buying you an ice cream.”

Elia narrowed her eyes. “If it wasn’t for the fact that I really want an ice, I would be mad at you.”
I chuckled. “You are weird.”
“So are you wolfie, so are you.” She wrapped her arms around my torso.

I smiled a happy smile down at her.
