Love Makes Blind

Funny the way it is.

[Paul's Point of View]
[Listen to this song]

Elia had showed me around the house she had grown up in. It was big and in the middle of the village. I didn’t like it one bit that I couldn’t sleep in Elia’s room.
“Nonna would get a heart-attack if she knew I slept with a boy before I was married.” She told me.
I didn’t like it.

Elia had been a little cold towards me ever since her cousins and Gina left. Leah was with Darin and Mirella down at the tavern. Elia was tired so she wanted to go to bed.

I followed after her into her bedroom. And as she sat down on her bed I sat down in a chair positioned beside the window. I put my head in my hands and sighed loudly. She didn’t say anything. Silence speaks louder than words.
“Why did you get so happy?” I asked quietly.
“What do you mean?” she asked me in return, she did know though.
“Why the hell did you get so happy to see him?” I asked in a louder voice and looked up at her.
Elia was staring at her feet. “It’s the first time I have ever seen him, at least as I can remember.”

“You didn’t throw yourself in the arms of Luca or Michael.”
“Matteo is my best friend.” She shrugged.
How the hell could she be so calm about this?
I had to press my hands against my temples, trying not to phase. “You love him, don’t you?” my voice was calmer than I had expected.
“Of course I do.” she said.
That was below the belt. It felt like someone had kicked me in the gut. I stood up and towered over her as she sat on the bed.

“What the fucking hell Elia? How can you sit there and say to my face that you love someone else? You’re my imprint for fuck’s sake!” I turned around again, facing the window. The night was black, except the almost full moon.
“Why are you reacting like this? You knew I was close to my friends. Yes, I love him; but I love him the same way as I love Darin, or Luca for that matter. But he was my first boyfriend and my first close friend. I’m always going to love him.” She finished her speak and put a hand on my shoulder.

“So you are always going to compare me to him then?” I asked her and shrugged my shoulder so her hand fell.
“No.” Elia wrapped her arms around my waist from behind; locking them together so I couldn’t shake them off. “Because I realized after I met you how child like mine and Matteo relationship were. He acted just like a brother, we barley even kissed.”
A smile crept onto my lips and I turned around and pulled her closer to me.
“So calm down Paul, you are the only one I see.” She kissed my neck tenderly.

“And what do you see?” I smirked at her.
She pushed my chest lightly. “Let’s not build your ego any bigger than it already is, or else we’ll have to build a whole house for it.”
I chuckled. “I love you Elia.”
“I love you too Paul.” She looked up in my eyes. “Give me your shirt.”
I furrowed my brows at her command, but started pulling my t-shirt over my head anyway. Elia thought I did it too slowly so she pushed it over my head faster. I had to bite back a moan as her hands brushed over my chest.

“What are you going to use my shirt for?” I asked in confusion.
“To sleep in.” she turned around. “Unzip my dress, please.”
I did as she said and she let it fall to the ground. She then unhooked her bra before turning back to face me. My eyes were locked on her chest area, more specific her breast as she grabbed the shirt from my hand and pulled it over her head.

“Funny the way it is, that I can’t seem to stay mad at you.” I smiled at her.
Elia closed her eyes and let her hands travel up my chest and to my neck, and then to my face. She first put a hand on my cheek before she moved it to my mouth. My lips parted – as always – as she let her fingers trace the contours of my lower lip. I bent down so Elia could place her mouth softly against mine in a passionate kiss.

She pulled away first. “Please don’t get jealous again.” she looked at me with pleading eyes.
“I’ll try.” I brushed some hair behind her ear. “Is it okay if I sneak into your bed later?”
Elia smiled. “Of course. It’s not my rules. I’ll talk to Nonna tomorrow and explain our relationship, okay?”
My eyes widened a little. “Are you going to tell her that we already had sex?”
She laughed. “No, I’ll lie. I’ll just show her the promise ring and say that it is a promise to wait with sex until marriage. She’ll believe me, I’m her little angel anyway.”
“My naughty little girlfriend.” I said and pinched her cheek.
Elia giggled. “Now go. Good night, see you soon.”

I took her hand and lead her over to her bed. She lay down and I tucked her in and placed a kiss on her forehead. Elia closed her eyes with a smile on her lips.

I turned to the door but stopped right before I opened it.
“We will have kids, right?” I asked curiously.
Elia laughed a little. “You want kids, Paul?”
“A whole pack.” I grinned.
I could see a big smile spread on her lips. Elia sat up slightly and pulled the covers away.
“Screw Nonna’s rules, she’s not here.” She patted the bed next to her.
I grinned and almost jumped into bed. Elia snuggled close to my chest.

“I want three boys.” Elia mumbled.
“I don’t care as long as you are their mother.” I smiled and kissed her hair.
“Funny the way it is, that I’m not scared of my future anymore.” She said before she fell asleep.

I don't feel like updating, I don't really want to write at all.
Someone reported me for grammar and spelling errors. I'm not mad, just frustrated; because I don't understand why the person can't just send me a message or write it in a comment. And I know that I have a lot of mistakes and that is just a shitty story. But I don't really care. I don't speak English or write it in my everyday life. I live in Norway where we write and speak Norwegian. English is just my hobby and passion. That's why I would prefer if you, whoever you are, that reported me could tell me what I have wrong so I can correct it. Or maybe I should just translate the whole stupid thing into Norwegian?

And now you may think that that's no excuse; but I think it is. English is my second language, why don't you try to write a story that is 57 980 words and 131 pages in Microsoft Word in whatever is your second language, whether it is French, Spanish or German. Have some guts and say it to my face!

I try to update everyday. That doesen't leave me much time to read the text over so many times. I use the spell check program on Microsoft and the one here on Mibba. Let me know if you want me to update less frequent to use more time to check each and every word to see if it is spelled right.

I'll see if I'll update if I get ten new comments.
