He never was kind. He always did have that evil streak. But it never made him this angry. Never. I never thought he could be capable of this. I had often been at the receiving end of his rage, but never had it ever progressed to uncontrollable ire.

I am so sorry, I never warned you, I should have. I never thought this would happen. I never fathomed it. And now I suffer because of it.
