Tell Me, Will It All Be Okay?

Chapter Sixty: “The Ghost Of You In The End.”

Chapter Sixty: “The Ghost Of You In The End.”

I felt as if your ghost visited me every night, for the remainder of my life. As I expired, not even caring how old I was, I was just happy I was able to live life to it’s fullest. Watching our son grow up, and he himself becoming famous, and having kids and grandkids. As I went up that escalator, I saw you at the top. You haven’t aged a day. You’re still as beautiful as you were the day I met you. I grabbed you in my arms and held you so tight. I never wanted to let you go ever again. I was as happy as I was the day I asked you to marry me.

“I love you so much,” I said.

“And I love you. I told you I would watch over you.”

“You did.” I gave you a kiss.

“I’m glad you all lived your lives.”

“I’m glad you watched over us, and guided our son.”

We headed off, happily. Happy to be together again. As we go, I had to ask.

“Tell me, will it all be okay now?” I asked.

“Yes. I think it finally will.”
