He clutched her hair to the back of her neck; he couldn't get enough. They held each other for what didn't seem like enough time.

She settled her chin on his shoulder.

He closed his eyes, just feeling her arms wrapped around him, her cheek to his. Sand swirled around the two; the wind whipped their hair to and fro.

She sniffled.

Then there was a click. His eyes widened. "Wha-what are you doing?" he asked, still holding her. A single tear ran down her cheek. She leaned her lips to his ear.
