“Cars” Dad said shocked
“Yeah I love cars” I said
“Prove it” Dad said
“Give me a car and I’ll give you stats” I said
“Okay the Mazda MX-5” Dad said
“Soft top, Touring or roadster” I asked
“Soft Top” Dad said
“8.1 litre engine, Rear wheel drive, 2/4 engine capacity, 118 Kilowatts of power, goes from 0 to 100 in 7.6 seconds, kerb weight 1129, 4 air bags, traction and stability yes, alarm no, aircon yes, alloys yes, auto no, leather seats no, satnav no, phone system no, CD yes, sunroof well it roofless” I said
“You do know cars” Dad said
“It’s a hobby” I shrugged
“Favourite car” Dad asked
“Well now that I don’t know I have like 4” I said counting on my fingers
“And they are” Dad asked
“Bugatti Veyron, Pagani Zonda F Roadster, Nissan GT-R and the Veyron Super Sport” I rubbed my hands together “Fast and Dangerous”
“Oh boy” Dad shook his head “Zora Hawes dead before her time cause of racing a fast car” Dad said
“Yeah if you’re not careful I’ll move to the UK and join the Top Gear team” I smiled
“Uh oh better warn Barry” Dad said
“Barry?” I asked
“Yeah he lives there and if his not careful you might turn up on his doorstep” Dad said
“Who’s Barry?” I asked
“He works with the GHI team” Dad said
“Ah okay” I said “So where are we going?”
“We are going to the TAPS office” Dad said
“Are you sure?” I asked
“Yeah why” Dad asked
“We seem to be going a weird way” I said
“Oh well yeah I wanna make a stop along the way” Dad said
“Okay” I shrugged

We drove for a few more minutes before arriving out side what looked like the TAPS headquarters yet it wasn’t. I was slightly confused what was this building? Was someone moving in on our territory?

“What’s this?” I asked
“The new headquarters” Dad smiled
“When did this happen?” I asked
“About 3 days after you hit your head the only ones who knew about the new place was me and Jay until we gave the others the address” Dad said
“And not me” I said pulling a sad face
“I was going to bring you around yesterday so Monday until you decided to visit the hospital again” Dad said
“Okay” I nodded
“I hope you don’t mind but you’ll be sharing with Kris and Amy they have the biggest room” Dad said walking towards the front door
“Nah its cool” I said following him

Dad stops in front of the door. He pulled out a key and opened the door. He flicked on the light and walked into the office. He stopped and faced me.

“Would you like a tour” Dad smiled
“Yes I would” I smiled

Dad showed me around the office it was huge. When you first see it from the out side it looks tiny but when you get inside wow. The first thing you see when you walk there is a reception area type thing followed by a hallway which is completely useless. You walk into the main office where you see a big round white table to one side with a TV above it which Dad explained is where they’ll do all the case meetings. Just across from the table is Dad and Jay’s office. They got a room with a window but because where the camera would be set it would face the window they had to cover it. Right next door to Dad and Jay is Steve and Tango. There room is pretty much just a desk nothing to interesting. In the main room that you see when you walk in there is two hallways. The first hallway looks straight on to a door behind that door is the production office so pretty much all of the editing is done there.

Next door pretty much is Kris, Amy and mines office. When Dad told me this I decided on how to set it up but I would talk to Kris and Amy about it. If you go down the second hall there is stairs that lead to the basement. Just down from the stairs is a door which leads out back then off to the side is a hall that leads to a door which leads to another door which is the 1912 crapper. Then off to the side is a locked door. In the basement which is one big room there is a corner for the equipment used by SyFy then there is a corner for all our equipment. There is a kitchen with an empty fridge for the time being anyway. One wall has a black cloth against it which Dad told me TAPS would be added onto when ever one of us does an interview to explain EVP’s or EMF’s.

“I love it” I said as we walked out of the office
“Well we’re still setting up but when we set up I’m sure it will look better” Dad said
“So are you going to drop me home or are you going to take me some where else?” I asked
“We’re staying here” Dad said
“Why” I asked
“Jay will be here soon we’re going to start setting something’s up” Dad said
“Okay well can I borrow your mines almost dead plus I think it’s on its last legs” I said
“Okay here you go” Dad said handing me his phone

I cleaned down the screen before dialling Kris.

“Hay G what are you calling for” Kris asked
“Try again” I smirked
“Oh Zora Hay sorry just going by caller ID” Kris said
“I guessed” I said “I just wanted to ask if I could set the office up then when you and Amy get in you can change it if you don’t like it”
“Sure go ahead” Kris said
“Well I know you’re busy so I’ll let you go” I said
“Okay bye” Kris said hanging up

I hung up and called Amy. Turns out Dad didn’t have Amy’s number so I put it in his phone.

“Hay Amy” I said
“Hay Zora let me guess you have G’s phone” Amy said
“How did you know?” I asked
“I have his number but I don’t think he has mine” Amy said
“He does now” I said
“Okay so why did you call?” Amy asked
“I’m want to set the office up if that’s alright” I said
“Yeah of course” Amy said
“You and Kris can change what you don’t like” I said
“Okay I trust you not to kill anything” Amy said
“Yes boss” I said
“Okay I’ll be going now” Amy said
“Okay see ya” I said hanging up

I handed Dad his phone and pulled mine out. The thing had been through hell. Unlike Dad I don’t have a fancy phone. He has an Iphone 4 I think well some sort of Iphone. I have a web slider. It’s almost 4 years old. With it always being on me even at cases the poor thing is almost dead. It’s been dropped, sat on, drowned, thrown and god knows what else. Once it fell out of my pocket and Tango ran over it in his car but it still works. The screens a little cracked and it’s scratched it only just charges at the moment. I think it’s time for a new phone but I’ll wait for this one to die and leave the mortal plane.

As I looked sadly at my dieing phone Dad moved next to me.

“What have you done to your phone?” Dad asked
“It’s been dropped, kicked, drop kicked, drop in water and drowned, ran over by Tango’s car, sat on and a million other things” I sighed
“Wow who drop kicked it?” Dad asked holding back a laugh
“Well I went out with some friends and we all got drunk one of them took it to call one there mum and let them know they would be late getting home they had an argument and drop kicked my phone into a puddle” I said
“That’s so funny” Dad laughed
“Hay I only just saved me phone” I pouted
“I think you need a new one” Dad said while trying to calm him self down
“What’s so funny” Uncle Jay said walking over
“His laughing because I friend of my drop kicked my phone into a puddle” I said
“Oh was that the night you came in with that girl and tried to drop kick her into the bathtub” Jay laughed
“Yeah she dropped kicked my phone” I said
“She tried to drop kick her friend into the bathtub” Dad burst out laughing
“She came home somewhat sober by that stage and went into the bathroom to blow dry her phone her friend was still drunk want to climb into bed with me she keep asking where my room was she was telling her to snap out of it” Jay laughed “Her friend started pulling the cord out of the power point and Zora told her if you don’t stop I’m going to drop kick you into the bathtub” Jay cracked up
“Oh boy” Dad laughed almost in stitches
“The best part she went to grab her to kick her and slipped Zora ended up pushing her into the toilet” Jay laughed “T-t-the seat was up and her pants where soaked”

Dad and Uncle Jay laughed silly while I stood there with my arms crossed. I walked back to the office and inside while Dad and Jay tried to stop laughing. I went straight to Kris, Amy and mine’s office. I stood in the middle of the room and began visualising the set up. When I was happy with what I was thinking I walked from the office to find Dad and Jay. By this stage they had pretty much stopped laughing and where hard at work in there office…arguing.

“Hay you two” I said causing both to look at me “Yeah you the married couple” I grinned
“That’s not us are you talking to a ghost” Uncle Jay countered
“I have a question” I said
“Okay shoot” Dad said
“I know how I want to set up mine, Kris and Amy’s office the question is what are you giving us?” I asked
“Well there is one table in the room already and another 2 down stairs for you” Uncle Jay said “Then there is three chairs plus the two trees that are in there”
“Okay well in that case I need one of you to take me for a drive” I said
“Where” Dad asked
“Well first my house then maybe downs the street” I said
“What for” Dad asked
“You’ll see so whose taking me” I asked rubbing my hand together
“I’ll take you” Dad said

We went out side and climbed in the Roto Rooter van. Dad took me home where I rummaged my things for a small table. I have a small brown wooden table that I had no use for. It use to sit next to the lounge chair and I sat my dinner on it until I got my coffee table. I found the table and took it out side. Then I took Dad’s phone to call Uncle Jay.

“Uncle Jay we have all the files in our office don’t we” I said
“Yeah why” Uncle Jay asked
“Because I was going to get some filing cabinet’s we’re running out of room in the other 4” I said
“Where would you get it from?” Uncle Jay asked
“I have a friend who can help us there” I said
“Okay see you when you get back” Uncle Jay said hanging up
“Dad we need to head down to the office district” I said
“Why” Dad asked
“I have to see a friend about a filing cabinet” I said
“Well that’s the first time I’ve heard that” Dad said

We went down to the office district where I gave him directions to the office of one Veyron Samuels car enthusiast and millionaire. He runs and owns a company that does car insurance and is also a car dealer and shipping company. I walk to the front desk of the building and hit the bell.

“Hello how can I help you?” the receptionist asked
“Tell Veyron Bugatti’s here to see him” I smiled
“Do you have an appointment?” The receptionist asks
“No but Veyron’s expecting me” I said
“Sir someone by the name of Bugatti is here to see you” she said spoke into a phone “Take a seat and he’ll be out shortly”

I sat down and picked up a magazine. I wasn’t surprised to find it was Top Gear. I began reading when I heard my nickname called out.

“Bugatti” Veyron called
“Hay Veyron” I smiled giving him a hug
“Come to my office we must talk” Veyron smiled
“I can’t stay long I have a friend waiting outside for me I came to ask a favour” I said as we walked into the elevator
“And what would that be?” Veyron asked
“I’m looking for 2 filing cabinets” I said
“What for” Veyron asked
“TAPS have you heard of them” I asked
“Ah yes Ghost Hunters can’t say I fancy the show” Veyron said yes his British
“Well I work with TAPS” I said
“I never seen you on the show” Veyron said surprised
“Season 5 and 6 I’m in if you want to watch” I said
“I will” Veyron nodded
“We are in need of 2 filing cabinets as we are running out of room in ours” I said
“And you came to me why” Veyron asked
“Because you owe my and I know you can get your hands on anything” I said
“True give me an address and I’ll have them there in 2 hours” Veyron said

By this stage the elevator had stopped and we were walking to Veyron’s office. I took pen and paper and wrote down the address.

“2 hours” I said
“You have my word” Veyron smiled
“It was nice seeing you again” I said
“And you we should get together for drinks” Veyron said
“We should” I said “My numbers there call when your not busy”

I walked out of the office and into the elevator. I went out side and climbed in the van where Dad seemed to be falling asleep.

“Hay stay awake we need to get back to the office” I said buckling my belt
“What took you so long?” Dad asked
“I was organising for my friend to drop of the cabinets” I said
“Who is this friend?” Dad asked
“I thought you would have guessed from where we are” I said
“Veyron Samuels” Dad said
“Yep” I said
“Wow you have connections” Dad said
“I’m sure many people would think that because you’re my Dad” I said
“Oh yes never thought of that” Dad said
“Come on back to the office before Jay moves us out” I said
“Won’t put that past him” Dad said

We went back to the office where Jay was fighting with a table. It got stuck going around the corner and now he was mad.

“How can you get it around the first corner and get it stuck now” I laughed
“Maybe the first corner’s bigger” Jay huffed

I walked over to the table and pulled it out from where it was stuck. Unlike Jay it took me a few seconds to get the table around the corner. Jay got angry and marched off back to his office. I hire Dad to help me bring up the second table for my office. I set to work on the set up. I placed the three tables in a horse shoe shape I placed the small table I brought in behind my table with the router on it. I placed one plant in the corner near my desk the other near Kris.

Pretty much the set up was my desk near the door then Amy’s ran with the back wall then Kris straight across from me. I had around 50 minutes before the two new filing cabinets would arrive. I got Dad and Jay to help me move the four cabinets we had up into the office. I told them where I wanted them once they were placed I walked out the front to wait on the new cabinets. I had placed the cabinets against the wall in front of Amy. I sat in the gutter and waited for the guys to show up with the cabinets. When they did I was surprised to see who was with them.

“Veyron what are you doing here?” I asked
“I came to make sure you weren’t lying to me” Veyron smiled
“Would I lie to you?” I put on a puppy dog face
“Nah your to cute” Veyron smiled
“Come I’ll show you around” I said

I walked in the door and showed Veyron around before showing the delivery guys where I wanted the cabinets. Dad and Jay were confused at what was going on.

“Sweetie what’s going on?” Dad asked
“Oh um Dad meet my friend Veyron” I said “Veyron this is my Dad Grant”
“Nice to meet you” Dad said extending a hand
“Pleasure to meet you” Veyron said shaking Dad’s hand
“Uncle Jay meets Veyron” I said “Veyron this is my uncle Jason
“Hay” Uncle Jay said taking Veyron’s hand
“Pleasure” Veyron said “So I hear you hunt ghosts”
“Yes but we go at it from a scientific point of view” Dad said
“Well from what I know of your group you Jason and Grant pay for the equipment and everything” Veyron said
“Yes we do that’s why I get so crappy when the equipment goes missing” Jay said
“Well I have something that may help” Veyron smiled
