Boyfriend's Ex Best Friend

Boyfriend's Ex Best Friend Chapter 24

Matt’s lips moved with mine before he pulled away.
“What’s up babe?” I asked. “You look down,”
“I think we should break up,” he said slowly, like he was in pain.
“What? Why?” I asked. I felt my heart sink.
“You still love Josh. Don’t deny it. I know you do. I can see it in your eyes. Whenever you talk to him or after you go see him, you’re face lights up. It’s okay Violet, whoever you chose I want you to be happy. If you want me you know where I am,” Matt said.
Tears rolled down my cheeks.
I gave him a hug. “Thank you,” I whispered.
“I love you,”
“I love you too,” I said kissing him one last time.
I waved goodbye to Matt and walked back inside the dorm.
“We broke up,” I said as I walked into my room.
I didn’t cry, much, I didn’t watch any break up movies or eat ice cream.
I moved on like nothing happened.
Matt and I are still close but him and Max seem closer.
And that didn’t bother me.
The guys and I were still able to have fun.
A week passed and I was officially over Matt.
I was in my room doing work when Max walked in.
“Can I ask you something?”
“Sure,” I said smiling.
“How would you feel if I went on a-”
“Go for it. I’m totally over him. Have fun. I’ll help you get ready,”
“Thanks a million!” she said hugging me.
I hugged her back and helped her get ready.
Once she left Danni and Lynn left as well. They’re boyfriends were in town and they were going out with them.
I helped them get ready as well and waved them off.
I sat on the sofa and picked up my cell phone and called Josh.
“Hello?” he answered.
“Hey,” I smiled.
“Vi?” he asked.
“Miss me?”
“Um, yeah, what’s up?”
“Nothing just thought we could talk,”
“Oh, um, I’m kind of busy at the moment,”
“Oh, okay,” I said as my smile fell.
“Josh, come on,” I heard someone say. A female say.
“Oh, you’re that kind of busy. I get it,” I said.
“I’m so sorry Violet,”
“It’s okay. Have fun,”
“Thanks,”
And with that I hung up.
