Let Go

Where I Belong

“Gabriella, mi amor, you’ve been out here forever.”

Iker’s arms wrapped around my waist, joining me where I stood on the porch of our suite that overlooked Santorini, Greece. I couldn’t help but let out a small scream when our plane landed in the one place I had always longed to visit and as soon as I was done freaking out I launched myself at Iker. The whole drive to the hotel I alternated between thanking him over and over again and staring out the window. I wanted somebody to pinch me just to make sure I wasn’t dreaming and I was actually here.

Our suite was amazing and had the most beautiful view, hence why I had been standing on the porch for the last thirty minutes staring out at the sunset. The fact that Iker brought me here proved that he knew me better than anyone else and was always listening to what I had to say.

“I could just stand out here for the rest of the night.” I sighed happily.

Iker smiled and rested his chin on my shoulder, lacing our fingers together and crossing our hands over my stomach. I began to wish that we could stay like this for the rest of eternity because I had all I wanted in life right in front of me. I felt like the two of us and the love we shared was the only that mattered at the moment and I was dying to show him just how much I loved him.

“I’m sure you could mi amor, but I have an inkling that dinner is on its way. Something tells me it happens to be your favorite, chicken alfredo.” He said, knowing he had my attention now.

“You ordered my favorite?”

He nodded and let out a laugh when I high tailed it inside, following closely behind me. After dinner, it didn’t take long for me to convince Iker we needed to test out the Jacuzzi on our balcony; the poor boy nearly ran outside when I walked out in my bikini. Once we were both settled in the warm water he pulled me into his lap, tightly wrapping his arms around my body when I melted into his touch.

“I love you.” He whispered.

“I love you too Iker.”

“I should have made you mine years ago Gabriella. It would have saved us both from years of heartache. God only knows where we would be today if I had manned up and expressed my feelings when I first met you.”

“I know it’s going to sound weird but a part of me doesn’t regret anything that I’ve done in the past and part of me agrees with you. I think what we’ve been through has only made us stronger and realize how much we love one another. Iker, you’re the only person besides Margarite that’s always been there for me and it’s only made me love you more. But I do regret not telling you how I felt about you all four years ago. I shouldn’t have been so insecure and masked over my feelings.” I explained.

I wasted no time in pressing my lips to his, not knowing how to express my love with him for words any longer and deciding to show him. I turned in his arms, straddling his waist as he eagerly kissed back, all of our emotions being put into the kiss. When we broke away both of us were breathing heavily but it didn’t effect the smiles on our faces.

“If I don’t get you inside soon we’re going to be arrested for indecent exposure.” He breathed.

I laughed and didn’t object the slightest when he lifted me into his chiseled arms and made his way inside our suite. He carefully laid me down on our bed hovering over with me with lust dancing in his brown orbs.

“I’m going to show you what true love is Gabriella.”

“It was a bad idea to bring me here.” I mused, the two of us basking in the sun the next morning.

“Why?”

“I don’t want to leave now and you’re probably going to have a difficult time getting me back on a plane.”

“Well, I can think of a few ways to convince you otherwise.” He smiled.

I rolled my eyes but couldn’t stop the blush that appeared on my cheeks at his words. After our rendezvous last night I had a pretty good idea of the convincing he had in mind.

“Come on, you know you wouldn’t mind living here for the rest of our lives.” I teased, placing my head on his shoulder.

“I would live anywhere in the world as long as you were by my side.”

“How do you always know the perfect thing to say?”

“It’s a talent. Besides, I love your smile.”

I grinned when he laced our fingers together, holding them over his heart and pecking my lips. I loved how we could lay in complete silence and enjoy each other’s company. There weren’t any words that needed to be said, we both knew how we felt. Iker and I found pleasure just in being together, no matter the setting and circumstance.

“I love you.”

“I love you too.”

“I’m just like you though, I don’t particularly want to go back home either. We don’t have to worry about the paparazzi stalking us here. They’re not here to call you a whore and blast me for stealing my teammate’s girl.”

“They can say whatever they hell they plase and follow us around all they want. I don’t pay attention to anything they have to say and could care less what they print about me in the press. I just hate that you come out looking like the bad guy when they wouldn’t even be after us if it wasn’t for Sergio.” I told him.

“I’m glad he did what he did. If he hadn’t I would be laying here with the girl of my dreams.”

“We’ll have to thank him one day.” I joked.

“Remind me of that when I can actually look at him without wanting to kill him.”

“You know you can’t hurt him though. You’d probably get thrown in jail and I couldn’t stand not having you around me.”

“I’ll keep that in mind.” He smiled before pressing his lips to mine.

“So what’s this surprise you have to show me?” I inquired.

Iker was currently leading downstairs, his hands placed over my eyes as he led me through the house. I was doing the laundry when he came home from downtown, telling me had a surprise for me.”

“Keep your eyes closed, you’ll find out in a minute.”

I huffed as he lifted me down the steps into the garage leading me out into early March sun shine.

“Stay here for just a second.”

I rocked back and forth anxiously on my heels before my hands were lifted and Iker placed something inside of them.

“Why’d you give me keys?” I asked, jingling them around in my hands.

“You can open your eyes now.”

I did as he said, my eyes landing on the gorgeous car in front of me, wandering why it was in our driveway.

“You bought a new car?”

“No, I bought you a new car.” He corrected, wrapping his arms around my waist.

My mouth fell open in surprise as I stared at the brand new black Audi in front of me.

“You bought this for me?” I asked in disbelief.

“Yes. You’ve been talking about getting a new car and I saw where you had been looking at them the other night on the computer.”

“Iker, you’re too good to me.” I squealed, turning around and throwing my arms around his neck.

“I just like to see my girl happy. Besides, I’d rather you have your own car than keep risking you hurting one of my babies.” He joked.

“You’re so funny.”

“Love you.” He smiled.

“I love you too, thank you.” I replied, pressing my lips to his.

“Can I go show Margarite?”

“Sure, I figured that’d be the first thing on your mind.”

I nodded enthusiastically, earning a laugh from Iker while I skipped over to the driver’s side and slid into the brand new leather seats. I ran my hands over the steering wheel, loving the feel of it beneath my fingers and not wanting to wait any longer to drive it.

Fifteen minutes later, I skidded to a stop in Cristiano’s driveway running out of the car and up to the front door. Margarite answered it five seconds after my excessive knocking stopped and I could barely contain my excitement.

“I got a new car!”

“What are you talking about?” she asked, Cristiano coming to stand behind her.

“Iker bought me a new Audi.” I exclaimed, grabbing her arm and pulling her outside.

Iker smiled while I proudly showed off my new baby, ending up in his arms a few minutes later. I let my hands run up and down his arms as I leaned back and smiled at him, still astonished that I had a new car. I heard the door open and the last person I wanted to see walked outside to see what all of the commotion was about.

“I’ve got to admit, it’s a nice looking car but I’m still in love with my BMW.” Margarite shared.

“I would say wait until you drive it but I don’t think I’ll be letting anyone besides me drive it for a while.”

“You’ll let me drive it right?” Iker wondered.

“You’ll be my only exception.” I grinned, pressing my lips to his.

The two of us broke apart and when we did I glanced over to see Sergio staring at us, hurt the only emotion displayed on his face.

“I’m out of here.” He muttered before getting into his car and driving away.

“I hope you didn’t put the car under you insurance. You know how Gabby drives.” Cristiano laughed.

“What’s with the teasing about my driving today? I drive wonderfully.” I complained.

“Mi amor, it took you fifteen minutes to get here when it should have taken at least thirty.” Iker chided.

“Maybe I have a heavy foot, I can’t help it.” I whined.

“Don’t worry, I still love you.”

“You better Casillas.” I teased.

“Did you drive over here just to show off your new car?” Margarite asked.

“Yes, I had to show it to someone.”

Margarite looked over at Cristiano and he immediately got a worried expression on his face, concerned with what was going to come out of her mouth.

“Are you going to buy me a new car now?” she inquired.

He just looked at us helplessly and I laughed knowing it would be all he heard about for days before he either bought her a new car or found some other way to appease her.

“I swear, they never get tired of this shit.” Iker cursed as flashes went off all around the car.

“Come on baby, let’s just go home.” I said.

Iker was known for his calm and collected demeanor but when his love ones were threatened his attitude completely changed. The paparazzi seemed to be the only thing he truly hated and now they seemed to be following us everywhere we went, whether it was out to dinner or just a simple trip to the grocery store.

“I just hate them so much. I love my career but I wish it didn’t come with all of the fame.”

I rubbed his arm in an attempt to loosen up the knuckle white grip he had on the steering wheel. Seeing his protective and angry side was, I had to admit, a complete turn on for me. As Iker pulled into the garage my eyes ran over his body and I was positive he could see the lust in them, a grin playing on his lips when he caught me staring.

I didn’t even give him a chance to say anything before I was leaning over the center console and pressing my lips to his. He pulled me over to straddle him and I couldn’t help but giggle when my back pressed into the steering wheel causing the horn to blare. I’m not sure how he managed it but he got us both out of the car and into the house without tripping over his own two feet, a feat I could barely manage by myself.

“I love it when you’re protective and so dominating.” I breathed.

“I’ll have to act this way more often then.”

Iker smirked and pressed his lips to mine once again, my back pressing against the wall. My finger threaded in his hair, loving the feeling of his silky strands and I was beginning to think we weren’t going to make it upstairs.

Hours later, the both of laid wrapped together in the bed sheets, a light coating of sweat covering our bodies as our breathing returned to normal.

“I love you Gabriella.” Iker whispered.

“I love you too.”

“I can’t wait any longer to do this.” He said more to himself than me.

I lifted my head in confusion as he sat up slightly, pulling my body up against his.

“You may think I’m crazy and I’m sure everyone else will but this just feels right.” He said, brushing my hair way from my eyes.

I looked up at him, silently urging him to continue. I only became more confused when I got no reply and he leaned over me to pull something out of his nightstand. I gasped when I saw the object was a ring box and my eyes watered when it opened to reveal the most beautiful, perfect ring I had ever laid eyes on.

“I need you in my life permanently Gabriella. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want you to be the woman who bares my children, who sticks beside me through everything and will grow old with me. Will you marry me and make me the happiest man that every walked the earth?

I had the perfect, ideal man sitting right in front of me. A man I could always trust would come home to me every night, one who would stick by my side through everything both the good and bad. Most of all he was a man I would be overwhelmingly lucky to spend the rest of my life with.

“Nothing would make me happier than to marry you.” I answered looking at him with a smile.

Never in my life had I seen a larger grin on his face, no trophy or award had gotten this type of reaction out of him. He pulled the ring from its box and slid it onto my finger where it fit like a glove and pressed his lips to mine.

“It’s perfect.” I whispered.

“Just like you.”

Iker smiled at me and laced our fingers together beneath the table, leaning over and pressing a kiss to my cheek. We were at dinner with the team and most of Iker and Margarite’ s family to announce our engagement.

“Gabriella and I have an announcement to make.” Iker spoke, immediately gaining everyone’s attention.

All eyes turned to Iker as he stood up bringing me with him and smiling at me adoringly.

“We’re getting married.”

Congratulations and clapping came flying at us quicker than I could comprehend and I was immediately embraced in Margarite’s arms. My eyes just happened to land on Sergio as he stood in the doorway of the large room we occupied. Crushed was the only way to describe the expression on his face but I no longer cared how he felt, the horrid part of me feeling like he deserved every bit of pain he was experiencing.

Margarite, breathe.” I laughed as she threw idea after idea at me.

“I’m just so excited! My big brother and best friend are getting married.” She squealed wrapping Iker up in his own hug.

He just looked at me, silently pleading to help him.

“I’m not going to have a fiancé to marry if you don’t let go of him.” I spoke.

Margarite huffed and let go of her brother, Iker letting out a sigh of relief when she was a safe distance away from him. I smiled when his arms wrapped around from me and pressed my lips against his.

“I can’t wait until your Mrs. Casillas.”

“I can’t wait until I’m Mrs. Casillas.” I replied.

“Would you two stop sucking face and come mingle? There’ll be plenty of time for that once your married.” Margarite shouted.

“Maybe I don’t want to marry you. I’ll have to say I’m related to her.” I joked.

“That’s not funny.” Margarite scowled.

I couldn’t have been happier to be marrying into such a welcoming and loving family, no matter how much I teased them, and I was ready to spend the rest of my life surrounded by such caring people.

I'm tired of complaining about the comments I get and having to ask for comments.
I try to update every week but the more comments I get the quicker I seem to come up with inspiration.
