Fuel to the Fire.

I looked around my nasty apartment, trying to clear all the bottles and cans from Emma’s little adventure the other night. I went around picking everything up and throwing it in the recycling bin outside in-between John and our apartment. The bin labeled “Recycling money for more beer” we were obviously classy. I tried to pick everything up knowing that my family was going to be here soon. They decided to come visit me first and then from there I’ll go back home for the winter. My Dad, my brother and his little family and a couple of my cousins, I was way too nervous for words.

“What are you doing?” I heard Emma say coming out from the room looking like complete hell.
“My family’s coming today.”
“Oh shit, what time?”
“I don’t yet.”
She went into the kitchen to help clean up, I thanked her before fixing up the living room, and making sure everything was done. I looked around the place seeing everything looked absolutely clean. I hurried into the shower getting out and getting dressed in tight jeans, tank top and a plaid shirt. I slipped on my vans before putting my hair up in a simple bun. I didn’t bother with makeup, just putting on chap stick. I picked up my room some more before I got that call that they were outside. I grabbed my ray bans putting them on before walking outside, excited to see my family.
“DG!”
I turned around and saw my cousins Matt, Chava and Ryan standing there waving. I laughed and walked over to them giving them hugs. We stayed out there talking as hot girls walked by wearing nearly nothing; they were definitely fans of Arizona. Then I saw my Dad’s car pulling up, I directed them where to park. Once my Dad was out of the car I ran into his arms. I was a big Daddy’s girl.
“Nico!”
I grabbed my nephew making him scream in excitement. I walked up and hugged Lauren and my brother before I showed them the apartment complex, beer cans and everything all over. We got to outside of my apartment and I saw John and Eric standing there throwing the football around. John turned and smiled over at me before walking over to us. Eric following close behind. I looked over at John who just stared at my Dad, looking scared that my Dad was staring back intensely.
“Guys these are my friends John and Eric, guys this is my Dad, my brother, my sister Lauren, my cousins, Matt, Chava and Ryan”, I said as they all shook hands.
I watched as John went straight to my Dad making me smile. I looked down and Nico with a smile.
“And this handsome guy is Nico”, I said as he was in my hands.
“Nice too meet you guys”, John said smiling.
“You too.”
I took them inside my apartment introducing them to Emma and Jeff. Right away my Dad went straight to my room looking around for any evidence. I just stood there laughing.
“You sleep here alone?”
“Yes papi.”
“You better!”
I just laughed as we walked out, showing them around. I showed them the campus and all the places to eat. I showed them the lake and everything we could. We sat around eating at the only Mexican place on campus; leave it to my family to only want to eat Mexican. After that we went back to the apartment, of course them all wanting to drinks. They bought all the beer and I watched as they set up the beer pong table, no one argued what so ever. I watched John and my Dad setting everything up, it was very weird.
“So that’s John?” Lauren asked in my ear with a smile.
“That’s John”, I said watching him and my dad joking around.
“He’s very cute and it looked like Dad likes him.”
“I know, weird.”
She just laughed grabbing a beer and walking over the play pen that Nico was in. I watched as my Dad and brother teamed up against John and Jared. So weird to see them all drinking together, Emma was very stoked on it.
“Your family’s all sick. My family would never do this”, she said drinking the beer in her hand.
“Yeah I know, I love my family.”
My Dad and brother of course kicked their ass. I just laughed and just sat there holding Nico. Emma said bye to everyone, she was going to spend the night at Jeff’s again.
“I love your family”, Kennedy said smiling at me.
“Me too.”
“Your Dad scares me though.”
“He scares everyone”, I said with a laugh drinking the water in my hand.
I watched as my Dad grabbed the guitar and started to sing to everyone, I just shook my head sitting down next to my Dad joining in.
“We’re going to head to the hotel”, my Dad said getting up.
“Why papi, you guys can stay here.”
“I’m way too old for this shit.”
“Come on old man, stay! You still got a couple of games to whoop my ass in”, John said making me laugh at how close he was already to my dad.
“Tomorrow young one, I’ll whoop your ass while you’re still hung-over from tonight.”
“We’ll see.”
I just laughed before walking him, Lauren, my brother, and Nico out to the car. I gave them all hugs and kisses. Once I came back my cousins were going at it with the guys at another round of beer pong. I sat on the counter and watched this whole thing until I felt someone sitting down next to me. I looked over at John who was smiling at me.
“I love your family.”
“Thank you.”
“I see where you get your amazingness from.”
“Us, Gomez’s are amazing.”
“Especially you”, he said in my ear.
“I’d step away from me if you want to keep your dick.”
“True, I would love to keep using this thing.”
“Or your hand is going to miss it.”
He looked over at me with a shocked face making me laugh. He reached over kissing my neck pressing his lips against my ear.
“You're lucky your big buff cousins are here or I’d use it on you.”
I pulled away from him looking into his eyes, he just laughed before I pressed my lips against his ear, kissing softly. “Yo te atreves.”
“Translation?”
“I dare you.”
