Halfway There

I burst into tears, why? Why? As it had to turn out, I'm not gonna have a baby, it was a false alarm. Good thing I hadn't told Sam yet.

Sam walked around the corner. "Why Kate? What's wrong?"

"Umm..." I didn't know how to tell him. "Uh... you remember that one night when it kinda happened?"

Sam nodded. "What? Are you...?"

I shook my head. "False alarm."

"You mean..."

I nodded.

Sam came over to hug me. "It's okay, baby. Not everything works out."

A few hours later, I was still in tears. I then I remember the letter Mac had sent me. It was so creepy.

Dear My Most Loving Kate,

I want you to know that since we live so far away, we will come for a little visit. I can't wait to see Sam.

Love, Mac

I almost died.

So, I guess that means Mac and Chase are gonna be here any day now.

"Hey," said a voice from behind me. I turned around hoping it was not Mac. It wasn't it was Drew (Emma's brother.).

"Oh hey there." I said.

"You look like you've been crying..." he said. "Here," he whipped my tears off my face with his hand. I took a step back.

"I'm married, Drew. Besides, don't you have a girlfriend?"

"Oh... her." Then he looked at me. "You're married, like how old are you, 17?"

"Um... yeah I'm married."

"Is that why you were crying?"

That did it, I burst into tears again. I told Drew the whole story, starting from when Sam kidnapped me.

But Drew understood it all.

"So you fell in love with him?"

"Yeah, and he asked me to married him. And then I thought it was the right thing because, my Aunt had passed away the day before he took me. And no one else cared about me. But, now he's like always away. Doing who-knows-what. And to think I could have had his baby. I just don't know if he cares about me any more."

Drew gave me a big hug. "There is someone right here who just wants you to be okay."

I looked up into his eyes. "Thanks Drew," I said hugging him tightly. "But, I don;t want anyone seeing us."

"Yeah, I gotta go."

"Bye," I said.

What on earth was I doing????????????
