I saw Jamie walk back into Diesel with a smile as big as Lake Superior. Soon after she walked in, Craig followed.

I turned around to Brooks and slapped his arm. “What did you do?”

He broke his conversation with Sid to see what I saw. “I worked magic baby.” He said with a smile.

“What about Scuds?”

“Fuck buddies. Not tied down. Just decided to give her some variety. Besides, from what I have learned about Craig and what I have come to love about Jamie, they belong together.” He shrugged. “I just decided to help along the process.”

I rolled my eyes. “My boyfriend, the matchmaker.”

I walked over to where Jamie was downing shots at the bar. “So Miss Jamie. How are you doing this fine evening?”

She looked up at me and rolled her eyes. “I feel like a whore.”

I laughed as I saw Craig start talking to Brooks. “Why is that?”

“Well, Brooks brought Craig over. Me and Craig danced, we went outside, and then we kissed.”

“And?”

She slammed down her shot glass. “Let me ask you something. First time you kissed Brooks, did you feel some kind of electric shock that could have blown you on your ass?”

I smiled and clapped my hands. “Aww my little girl had her first real kiss! You are growing up so fast.”

Jamie rolled her eyes as Brooks walked up. “What’s going on?”

I pretended to wipe tears from my eyes. “Our little girl is growing up so fast. She just had her first real kiss.”

Brooks wrapped his arm around me like a proud father. “Well love, we knew it would come one day, I just didn’t expect it to happen at a club. Well, yeah maybe I did.”

We laughed as Jamie lightly punched Brooks in the stomach. “You guys aren’t funny. Now if you will excuse me, I have to go find a guy to dance with.”

As she walked away, Brooks placed a kiss on my forehead. “You ready to get out of here?”

I nodded and he took my hand as he led me out of the club.

When we got back to his house, I went and sat on the couch as he picked out a movie to watch.

“Borat?”

“No.”

“Death Race?”

“Oh, Jason Statham, but no.”

He sighed. “I am not watching a chick flick I refuse.”

I pouted. “But Brooksy…”

He walked over and gave me a kiss. “But nothing. I refuse a chick flick.”

“But I thought you loved me?”

“Oh I do. Just not your movie choices.”

I sighed. “Fine. You win.”

He fist pumped and went back to the movies. “How about… Tommy Boy?”

I nodded. “That works I guess.”

Halfway through the movie, I looked up to seeing Brooks passed out. I softly laughed, turned off the movie, and snuggled closer to him and fell asleep.

When I woke up the next morning, I was laying on the couch leaning on a pillow. I sat up as I smelled something fantastic.

“Oh you are up. Good.” Brooks said as he carried a tray of pancakes and various fruit to me.

“Mmmm. I thought I smelled something amazing.” I said as I stole a piece of strawberry.

As we sat there and ate Brooks looked nervous.

“Brooks, are you okay?”

“No, well yeah. I mean, I think.”

I laughed. “I didn’t think it was that hard of a question.”

He sighed and sat back on the couch. “Don’t freak out when I ask you this question okay?”

I nodded nervously. “Okay.”

He took my hand. “Adisyn, I love you. And I wanted to know if..”

I took a deep breath. “If what?”

“If you would like to move in here and live with me.”
