Dancing To A Song With No Lyrics

Chapter Six.

I was sitting at home as usual and I was looking outside my window as I laid on my couch. Tonight was a small bonfire some friends of mine were having and I was invited to go. They said I could bring my boyfriend, but I wasn't sure if I considered Patrick my boyfriend. I mean, we've been going out for like a month. I guess I should call him or something. I picked up my Blackberry from my stomach and called him.
“Hey.” I simply said.
“Hey Blaine, what's up?” He answered.
“There's this small party thing tonight my friends are having and they said I could bring you. Would you like to come?” I asked.
“Of course! Only if you want me to, though.” He laughed.
“Well, duh. That's why I'm asking.” I laughed
. “I actually have another question for you.” I said.
“Yes?” He asked.
“So, like, they said I could bring my boyfriend. Ugh, I so do not know how to word this. Like, do you consider me your girlfriend? We've been dating for practically a month now. I mean, I'm totally cool with us being...”I said.
“Blaine, be quiet. Yes, I consider you to be my girlfriend. I guess I've thought for a while you called me your boyfriend. I meant to say something but you know.” He said.
“For real?” I laughed.
“Yeah, for real. I'm sorry I never brought it up.” He laughed.
“No, I was just wondering I guess.” I laughed.
“So, what time is this shindig?” He said.
“Oh my god. You're vocabulary is so old school. You're too perfect.” I laughed.
“I do it all for you.” He said. “Uhm, it's at like 8. I'll pick you up.” I said.
“Sounds good.” He said. We said good bye and hung up. I laid there with a smile on my face with a big smile on my face. I had a boyfriend. I mean, I had a really good looking, smart, caring boyfriend. This was an odd feeling but I loved it. I could really say I was happy for the first time in my life.
“I have a boyfriend.” I said to myself smiling.
