People Change and Promises Are Broken

Later that day, Oliver came to see Rachel.

"Hello Oliver," Rachel greeted.

"Lilly told me you were upset, and seeing as I live two houses down, I thought I would check if you were okay," Oliver explained.

"I didn't know you lived so near!" She grinned, "It's nice to know someone."

"Yes, finally another teenager, there are only OAP's here," Oliver laughed.

"Do you wan to come in?" Rachel asked.

About half an hour later, they were sat in front of the television, watching a film together.

There was a knock on Rachel's front door later that evening.

"Who would be out in the rain?" She asked Oliver.

She opened it and saw Joe, Kevin and a pretty girl.

"Hello," she said, ushering them in from the rain.

"Rachel," Joe said, hugging her, "Are you okay now?"

"Yes," she smiled, "I am quite well,"

"Rachie?" Kevin called, bringing over the girl they had brought here with them.

"Hello," Rachel greeted the girl.

"This is Hayley Oken," Kevin explained.

Hayley was a pretty young girl, around 19/20. She was fair, with black curly hair and bright green eyes. Not to tall, but not too small. There was much to be envious of. And then she realised she knew her.

"Oliver's sister?" she asked Hayley.

"Yes," she smiled.

Rachel laughed and lead them into the front room.

"Oliver, guess who's here," Rachel called.

He turned and saw his sister. His eyes grew huge when he saw the Jonas Brothers there too.

"Olly," His sister nodded.

"So how do you know each other?" Rachel asked Joe.

"Well... Kevin and Hayley are really good friends," Joe laughed.

Rachel's thoughts then turned to Nick.

"Is Nick..." She began.

"Nick's at home, playing his guitar," Joe told her.

"I think you might see him soon," Kevin smiled.

"Really?" Rachel's eyes lit up.

"Rachie, where is Ell?" Joe asked.

"She's gone out with some friends," Rachel explained.

His face dropped, but was back to normal a few seconds later.

"Whatchawatching?" Joe asked.

"Pirates of the Caribbean," Rachel answered, "Oliver has a man crush on Johnny Depp,"

Hayley and the boys laughed.

"Back off Olly. He's mine," Hayley joked.

"Pshhh," Oliver mumbled to himself.

"Well Rachie," Joe said, "We just came over to give these to you," handing her some flowers and a box of cookies.

"Mom baked them for you," Kevin explained, "She asked if she could see you sometime."

"Yeah sure, anytime," Rachel said.

"Would you be able to come over to ours tomorrow afternoon?" Kevin asked.

"If Nick isn't..." Rachel began.

"He'll just stay in his room all day," Joe replied.

"Okay then," Rachel smiled.

"So we'll be going then," Joe said pulling Rachel into a bear hug. Kevin joined in.

"See you guys tomorrow," Rachel said, waving at them.

"We better get home then," Oliver and Hayley said.

"Okay," Rachel smiled.

"Wanna walk to school together tomorrow?" Oliver asked Rachel.

"Yes, that would be nice, thanks," she said, "See you tomorrow."

The next day passed very quickly. Rachel's nerves kept a hold of her all day. When she was walking to school with Oliver, she didn't talk to much, when she was in lessons, she didn't talk at all. By the time the last school bell rang, she was so nervous she couldn't walk. When Kevin pulled up to collect her, she almost collapsed into the car seat.

"Hello Rachie," Kevin smiled.

"Hi," She said, almost inaudibly.

"Don't be worried," Kevin smiled at her.

When they arrived at the Jonas household, Kevin helped her out of the car and they entered the house.

"RACHEL!"

Mrs Jonas ran towards her and hugged her. It was so nice to see Denise again.

"I've missed you Rachel," She smiled.

"I missed you too Denise," Rachel said, grinning.

"Rachel," Joe called coming over and giving her a high five.

"Come and see my room," Joe said, leading her upstairs.

As they turned the corridor, she heard a door close. Nick was here.
