Disenchanted

Raven has always been kept tucked away in a far-off mansion, her existence the mere whisper of hope and fear to the outside kingdom of Colless, but she has always known of the grand cities and homey villages beyond the walls of her keep. She knows because her long-time fiance has told her so in his letters since their childhood. Letters that have left her dreaming of the freedom she could gain if only he would come for her. However, on the night of her eighteenth birthday something happens that changes her life forever, altering her perception and turning the lovingly hopeful letters to nothing more than a fleeting memory of a false dream. After all, they say blood never lies. And when your blood is deemed tainted, painting you as the symbol of the possible destruction of a kingdom, you have no choice but to fight in hopes of breaking the fate that so tightly binds you or face the possibility of dying at the hands of those who once promised to protect you.
