I Found Myself Falling...Not For the Right Thing Either

“How’s she doing?” I shrugged, slamming my locker door.

“She’s been crying since she came over the other night.” Kent frowned, biting his lips as we started to walk down the hallway of the school.

“Did you get much out of her?” He questioned, slipping his hands into the pockets of his jeans as we walked.

Kent had been one of those who stopped liking Liz when she turned on us. I think it was more when she punched me the one day and didn’t regret it, but I slowly eased him in on information about the other night and like me, he felt bad.

“Not really other than her parents divorced and like you hear from psychologists, when something happens like that the person often acts out because they feel they caused it. Liz felt that she broke them apart so by acting out, not coming home and missing their fights that they’d start thinking about her and end up getting back together.” I stopped where I was in the hallway, my sneakers making a squeak as I did so.

“Is she at school today?” I noticed Kent pull out his phone as he asked this, smiling at a text on the screen.

I shook my head while answering, “No. We just got her back to now her mom’s house last night. My parents talked with hers as I sat with her and tried to get her mind off of things for a bit.”

“Gotcha. Well, pretty boy has been eyeing you so I’ll let you two have some alone time while I go to lunch.” I raised an eyebrow at his words.

“Oh really, not some hot chick you want to go see?” I questioned, leaning in a bit to try and read the text he was writing. All I caught sight of was the girl’s first name, Cassie.

“She doesn’t go- I mean it’s nobody.” He stuttered, changing his words and hurrying away from me, guarding his phone in between his hands protectively as if someone else was trying to read it. This made me laugh. It was nice to see him not still thinking about me. I just wanted to meet this girl, and if she didn’t go here…

Wait Cassie? Why did that name sound familiar?

My thought of Kent and this new girl along with Liz were instantly out of my mind when I felt two big hands cover my eyes.

“Guess who.” A husky voice asked as hot air blew over my ears making me shiver.

“Hmmm… I don’t know, who?” I wondered, leaning back against the broad shoulders hunk behind me. His warmth instantly feeling good against my goosebumped arms and legs.

“Well, I’ll give you some hints.” I knew that we both knew it was Craig by the way his hands felt and how his voice sounded, but we just kept going along for the fun of it.

“Okay, let’s hear them.”

He pulled my body closer to his when he started to speak, “Let’s start with how good looking I am. I’ve got great hair, amazing eyes, a rocking bod, a blinding smile, shall I go on?” He bent forward to nibble on my ear a bit making me giggle from the tingly sensation I was receiving from it.

“I’d like to hear about his girlfriend.” A deep chuckle made my body shake along with his as he pulled his hands off of my eyes and turned me around to face him.

“She’s alright.” My jaw dropped at his comment and I hit his chest. He feigned hurt even though I know I probably didn’t even cause one ounce of pain to him.

I decided to tease a bit as well. If he wanted to play, so did I. “I’ve heard she’s, hmmm, what’s the word?” I paused, trailing my finger down his chest. Leaning into his ear as I just had done to him I whispered, “Oh yeah, spicy.” I blew my hot breath across his face, taking a quick nibble on his chin before pulling away.

Now, it was lunch time. That’s where Kent was going and where I was heading until Craig caught me. Figuring now would be a good time to go, I started heading towards the cafeteria again right before my hand was grabbed and I was pull back in the hard body again.

“I’m not hungry, are you?” With the huskiness in his voice I shook my head slowly, hoping my stomach wouldn’t growl at this moment. I was lucky that it didn’t when I turned around to see Craig icy blue eyes staring down at me. They were sparkling with mischievous as he grabbed my hand and said, “Come with me.” Looking quickly around, I was thankful nobody was walking by us or anything. Our whole relationship was still a secret other than from Kent and Katie.

If it got out, it could somehow end up to the wrong person.

“Where are you taking me?” I asked, watching his butt move as he walked rather quickly, tugging me along. I had an urge to pinch his butt.

“Hey!” He growled out, whipping around to face me. My cheeks heated as I put up from hands in retreat.

“They acted on their own accord!” I told him innocently, looking up at him through my eyelashes.

His eyes narrowed a bit, his eyebrow rising slowly. “Oh really? They just came and pinched my ass on their own?” I shrugged.

“So, maybe I had a little to do with it.” The smirk on my face matched his. Suddenly I was pulled forward and pressed against the solid chest in front of me. A gasp shot from my lips, but it was covered up fast by another pair of lips. A moan spilled from my lips almost instantly. These soft lips were magic when put with mine. Firework making worthy.

“I’ve missed the noises you make.” Craig mumbled with each word our lips brushing together.

Something in me snapped and my hands shot to Craig’s hair, pushing him backwards so his back was resting against a wall. As fast as I had put him there, he twirled us around so it was my back against the wall rather than his. The unexpected movements made me gasp and Craig took the chance to slip his tongue into my mouth, dancing with mine.

My hands found their way down and around his shoulders then towards his chest while his just gripped the small of my back, tugging me closer to him like if he didn’t get enough of me he’d parish.

I pulled back slightly, trying to get a breath of air while Craig continued. His lips moved along my jaw, nibbling her and there while he worked his way down my neck. My hands fisted his t-shirt when he found the spot that could drive me wild. Chuckling softly as another moan rolled out of me he started to leave open mouth kisses against my skin, licking it feverishly.

“Shit, Craig.” I groaned, tugging him closer to me even though that wasn’t really possible. Our bodies were plastered against one another and not a single thing could pass between us. He worked his magic trailed downward from my neck and across my collarbone. My eyes opened and my vision was blurry from the pure bliss he was creating on my body, but I could still make out the school hallway and that’s when I pushed him away.

“What?” He groaned, trying to pull me back, but I kept my arms out in front of me to create distance.

“We’re in school.” I whisper-yelled at him. He looked around and shrugged.

“Nobody’s around.” His hands went out for me, but I swung out from between him and the wall, giving him a glare.

I crossed my arms over my chest, my breathing still pretty rapid. “I’m not one of your whores who just fucks you in middle of the hallway.” He took a deep breath, running his hands through his hair.

“I’m sorry.” He mumbled, “I just get carried away by you. You’re so damn hot.” He leant down to peck my lips quickly before fully pulling away from me. “I just wish I could have you all of the time.” I looked down.

“I wish that too, but it can’t happen.” I muttered, scoffing my shoe against the tile floor.

“Why can’t it? I mean Kent and Katie know. They haven’t really minded.” I frowned at that.

“Kent was crushed!” I informed him.

“But he got over it! Everyone else could do the same.” Craig grumbled, stuffing his hands into his pockets. “It’s just…”

“My brother and your best friend.” I finished. “If Jake were to find out do you know what he’d do to you and then to me?!” I pointed out to him even though he was well aware of what would happen if we told Jake we were dating.

“I just want to call you my girlfriend in front of everyone and not have to sneak around to see you without everyone getting suspicious.” I walked towards him, resting my hand against his chest.

“Why does this have to be so difficult?” I asked a loud. Not really expecting an answer, but just wondering why.

Craig suddenly straightened and grabbed my arms. My head shot up to look at him and his face was bright. “What if we slowly ease them into it? Like if we slowly started doing things in front of them and then maybe planning a day that we actually tell them all.” I felt my lips tug back a bit, a smile wanting to show.

“But what if they just piece it together before we tell them?”

“Then they’ll figure it out on their own and we won’t have to tell them!” He told me, a cheeky smile crossing his features. His white teeth shined down over me and I couldn’t help, but let my smile show as well.

So I asked, “What day should we plan on telling them just in case?”

Craig was silent for a few seconds, obviously thinking over our possible options. “How about we tell them a few days before prom?” My head shook up and down vigorously.

“Sounds perfect.” I exclaimed, standing on my tippy toes to press my mouth to his. When we pulled away a few students were heard coming down the halls. Lunch was just about over with.

“Good so it’s settled. They’ll know by the time we go to prom together.” My eyebrows furrowed. And he looked down at me with concern. “What? Is something wrong with that? Do you not want to go to prom?” I shook my head. That wasn’t it. “Then what?” He asked.

“You never asked me to go with you.” I told him, playing lightly with his brown hair that had grown to the point where the ends were curling slightly.

“I didn’t?” He questioned, his eyebrows furrowing further. I shook my head again. “Well, I guess we’re not going together th-” I didn’t even give him a chance to finish his sentence as I smacked his chest. His fading words turning into chuckles as he leaned forward and pecked my lips asking between each brush of our mouths, “Will you go to prom with me?”

“Yes.” I breathed before pulling him in for one final kiss before the bell rang and our little time together was over with.
