Justin’s P.O.V

Ring Ring Ring

I groaned as I rolled over in my bed, reaching for the phone that was sitting on my night stand. I didn’t both looking at the caller ID as I answered the phone, “Hello?”

“Justin! Where are you?” I heard scooter, my manager, ask on the other line.

“In bed?” I stated while closing my eyes.

“Did you forget today is when we pick the design for your tour bus?” He asked clearly upset.

My eyes shot open, “You never mentioned that.”

“yes I did, I told you last week at the meeting that the next two weeks were going to be hectic.” He sighed.

“I’ll be there in thirty minutes.” I said before hanging up on him.

I sighed once more as I rubbed my eyes and sat up in bed. It’s been two weeks since the incident with Chelsey at Jessica’s house. It’s also been two weeks since I last spoken to Jessica herself. As far as I am aware of, Taylor and her were still together and were “Very in love” according to people magazine. I picked up the magazine that was sitting on my floor next to my bed. On the cover there were multiple shot of Jessica, dressed as Victoria Grace, and Taylor.
The cover was a collage of pictures that the stupid paps caught of the two walking out of a French bistro, Taylor giving Jessica a kiss before she got into his car, and the two holding hands as the strolled on down a street in Hollywood. I angrily tore the cover of the magazine before crumbling it and throwing it at my wall.

“That should be me.” I said through gritted teeth as I stood up and walked towards my closet. I opened the door a little to harshly as it hit my wall with a loud bang possibly leaving a dent. I didn’t bother looking to see if I left a dent or not. I grabbed the clothes I was going to where for the day and headed towards my bathroom.

“That should be me holding her hand.” I said as I started the shower. I quickly jumped in and out of the shower, skipping on blow drying my hair and just towel dried it.

“Knock knock!” I heard someone yell from my door.

“Come in!” I yelled after I finished putting my pants on and pulling my shirt on over my head. “Hey babe, I thought you said you were busy today.” I said after I walked in and saw Chelsey sitting on my bed.

“I actually came to talk to you about something.” she whispered

I tilted my head to the side in confusion, “okay, what did you want to talk about?”

I heard her sigh, “Us.”

I sat down next to her and stared straight at my bedroom wall, “What about us?”

I saw from the corner of my eye Chelsey turn and look at me before turning back around and clasping her hands together, “Ever since I found out about what happened between you and Jessica, I have been questioning myself. Every time I think about it I wonder what I did to you for you to do that to me.” She paused as she took a shaky breath of air, “obviously you and Jessica have something that we would never have and I don’t know if I want to be in a relationship with you if you’re not going to be 100% committed to it.” She finished as she wiped away some tears from her eyes.

I sighed, “ I know and I hate myself for ever doing such a harsh thing to not only you but to Jessica also. I hurt such an amazing girl and I don’t know if I can ever forgive myself.”

“Can we still be friends at least? I don’t know if I can forget about what happened but I’m not one to hold a grudge on someone and I don’t plan on holding a grudge on you. It was an accident and I understand.” she said

I turned towards her, “Of course we can be friends.”

She smiled and reached towards me for a hug. I smiled and wrapped my arms around her small frame breathing in her sweet scent of roses. I felt her pull away, “So are you excited about tour coming up?” I asked as I got up and grabbed my shoes before sitting back down on the bed.

“Yeah I am.” I heard her laugh, “Which is another reason as to why I am here. Scooter wanted me to give you a ride to the meeting since I’ll be there to pick out my design for my bus also.”

“Sounds like a plan to me. I’ll be ready in a minute, I just have to grab my hat.” I said as I stood up, “If I can find it.” I was turning around in circles when I heard Chelsey laughing uncontrollably.

“What?” I asked confused.

She pulled the matching hat from behind her back, “Looking for this?”

I glared at her as I thanked her and grabbed it from her. After I did a double check in the mirror I turn towards her, “Alright I’m ready.”

She looked up from her phone, “Good because my manager just said that Scooter was pulling his hair out because you’re late.”

I laughed, “Reminds me of the Jets game this last weekend. Scooter was going crazy and I almost got tackled by him for “Disturbing his date””

She laughed as she got up and grabbed her keys. I beat her to my door, “ladies first.”

“So kind. “ she laughed as she walked out of my room. I smiled at her as I followed her out. I couldn’t help but feel suddenly empty in the pit of my stomach. I knew I wasn’t hungry because I had a midnight/early morning snack a few hours ago.

I softly shook my head to get the thought out of my mind as we stepped into the kitchen. I quickly walked over towards my mom and gave her a kiss on her cheek, “Morning mommy. I’m heading out towards the meeting now with Chelsey.”

She nodded, “Hello Chelsey. How is your morning so far?” She asked.

“It’s great and yours?” Chelsey asked

“It’s wonderful thank you. Kenny and I will follow you guys there in a few minutes.” My mom replied before going back to pick up her phone and notebook.

I gave her another kiss on the cheek, “Okay see you soon.”

I followed Chelsey outside towards her car and laughed as I pretended to clap, “Let’s have a great productive day!”

She turned around and looked at me like I was insane, “Sure Justin, whatever you say.”

I laughed as I opened her door, “It can’t be that bad can it?”

She rolled her eyes and sarcastically laughed, “You’ve never done this before have you?”

I thought about it for a second, “No. I didn’t pick the design last time.” I closed her door and ran over towards the passenger side.

“It’s really not that fun. The company shows you different images and you think your allowed to pick an image but you’re not.” She stated as I got into the car.

“So it’s that bad?” I laughed as I struggled to put on my seatbelt.

She laughed at my poor attempts, “Justin, the seat belt is automatic. Stop struggling.”

I just watched the seat belt move from one side of the door towards the other, “well you did not mention anything! Thanks for making me feel dumb by the way.”

She laughed again, “Anyways these meetings are snooze time for me anyways but since you and Jessica will be there it’ll be a different scenario.”

“Wait,” I said suddenly. “Jessica is going to be there?”

Chelsey looked over at me, “Um did you forget that she is also touring with us? You’re acting like a teenage girl.”

I glared at her,” Is Taylor going to be there?”

She thought for a second, “Last I heard he left for filming a few days ago so it’s just going to be her.”

I nodded my head as I turned and looked out the window watching the ocean as we drove by. I sighed as I noticed that I have been really depressed this past week. Normally I’m cocky and joking around but I haven’t recently.

Maybe that’s what’s wrong with me. I’ve become so caught up on whatever Jessica was doing that I was becoming depressed. I sighed once more as I watched the scenery change from the ocean to trees. I couldn’t help but let my mind wonder back to Jessica and when I kissed her.
That kiss meant a lot to me even though I forced myself on her. I just needed to know if there was a spark or not, and there was a spark. That kiss made my body go numb and my head become all fuzzy.

I felt a tap on my knee and I turned and saw that Chelsey was trying to get my attention.

“Are you alright? You sighed like twice in five minutes and you look really bothered by something.” she stated.

“Yeah I’m alright.” I tried to get by but she gave me a look that I couldn’t lie to her.

“Do you want to talk about her?” She asked jumping right to the conclusion. I was going to ask her what she was talking about but she beat me to it. “I can tell when a guy is in love with my best friend.”

I nodded in understanding, “I just. I don’t know.”

“Justin,” she started. “You can tell me you like her. I wont get hurt anymore. We’re friends and were supposed to be able to talk to each other about anything.”

I sighed, “I just really like her and I don’t know what I’ll do if I see her with Taylor again.”

She nodded, “You can’t do anything. She was dating Taylor before you two even met. All you can really do is just be her friend and be there if something happens.”

I thought about it, “So are you stating that something will happen?”

“No! I’m just saying in case something doesn’t go right or she’s had a tough day. She wont be able to talk to Taylor that often because he will be filming. Even though I’ll be on the same tour as her I wont be there all the time. You’re the only other person besides her parents she’ll want to talk to and we all know that we don’t really enjoy talking with our parents.”

I agreed with her, “It just sucks because I think I’m in love with her.” I knew that after I said that out loud that it was the truth. I looked forward out of the windshield and noticed that we were coming up towards a gray building. I saw a black SUV parked outside of the building and paps were surrounding it.

I heard Chelseys phone start ringing. “Can you answer it for me?” I nodded as I grabbed her phone and answered the call.

“Justin and Chelsey here.” I answered.

“Where are you guys?” I heard Jessica ask. Just hearing her voice made my heart swell.

“We’re just pulling up is everything okay?” Chelsey asked

“Does it look okay!? I’m trapped in my SUV!” Jessica cried out. I covered my mouth to stop the laugh that was trying to escape.

“Where’s your body guard?” I asked

“We can’t get out! They won’t move away from the door. He’s tried multiple times to get out, they just won’t let him.” She said

“I’ll turn around so we don’t get trapped in that mess.” Chelsey said as she made a quick U-turn away from the building.

“Oh no I don’t think so. Get back here!” Jessica cried out

“And get trapped in that mess. I don’t think so.” Chelsey stated

“So not fair! Leave me here to suffer!” Jessica whined

“Oh look help has arrived!” I pretended and hanging up on her.

“What was that for!?” Chelsey asked as she entered into the building from another side.

“Help did arrive. Didn’t you hear the police car that drove past us?” I asked

She blinked and turned away, “No.”

I laughed as I got out and ran over towards her side and opened the door for her. After she stepped out I shut the door while she locked it. We took one look at each other before booking it into the building and around a corner.

“I wonder where Jessica is or if she is still in the SUV.” I asked as I leaned up against a wall.

“Thanks so much for the help guys! You’re the best.” I heard from down the hall. Chelsey and I turned and laughed when we saw that Jessica was wearing Victoria’s wig and it was messed up.

“Nice hair by the way babe.” Chelsey laughed. Jessica just glared at her and avoided looking at me. I felt a stab go through my heart. My mood slightly dropped when she didn’t really acknowledge me.

“Yeah whatever. I was getting harassed by everyone for being late and it seems like I’m not the only one.” Jessica stated as she fixed her wig.

“Justin here forgot about the meeting so I had to go pick him up and he wasn’t even ready.” Chelsey said pointing her thumb over towards me.

“That’s your boyfriend for you.” Jessica said.

“Actually,” I started as I looked over at Chelsey and she nodded her head letting me know it was okay to continue. “We’re not together anymore. We broke up not too long ago.”
