Little Remains

The school day had come to a stop. It was a sunny October day, I would be walking with my friend Annabelle. We enjoyed walking home, taking in the scenery and plus we lived near by

The bell had finally rang. I swiftly walked down the stairs and soon got to my locker, before there was a big crowd

I got my books quickly and soon found Annabelle talking to Alice Jenkins. I didn't know her well, but she seemed nice. "Hey Alice “I said in a polite tone "Hi Lucy, how are you?" Alice said, as Annabelle got her books. "I'm really good thanks, you? “I replied then asked. "Tired" admitted Alice bluntly, I laughed then said "I know the feeling"

"Anna you ready?" I asked "Yeah" she replied to me "Well bye Alice, try not to feel too tired" I said in humour filled tone. "I'll try see you another day" Alice replied with laugh

Anna and I then exited the school, happy and full of life. We were so blissfully unaware of what would happen in the next few weeks...
