Between a Little Piece of Heaven and the Danger Line
Hot Cocoa Kinda Night
Dinner was great, Brian made a simple meal of buttered potato's and baked pork chops. Now we were cuddled on the couch watching The Blind Side, it was such a heart breaking movie. Brian was laying down and I was laying on his chest his fingers were threading through my hair and it was a soothing motion. I could get used to this I decided, and caught his hand as it was making it's way through my short hair again I brought it to my face and placed a light kiss on his knuckles. Shortly after the movie was over I decided it was time to leave. He walked me to my car and when we were there gave me a tender kiss that sent tingles all over my body, my neurons were firing elongating the sensation. I smiled shyly at him and watched him until I pulled out of his driveway and was well on the way to my own home.
I felt like I was walking on clouds as I got out of the car and unlocked my front door, it was amazing. I never thought that Brian would return the feelings I had tried so hard to conceal for almost a decade. Turns out I should have given into my feelings a long time ago. I needed hot chocolate with marshmallows. I swear sometimes I ate and drank like a teenaged girl, with my hot cocoa and the cookie dough ice cream that I kept hidden in the back of my freezer. Icky and Majesty greeted me at the door I patted their heads and went into the kitchen where I refilled their food and water bowls.
“I think tonight went well kiddo's.” I had lowered myself to talking to my dogs like they were people. “He made me dinner, and I didn't die.” Majesty snorted into her food almost like she knew what I was saying. “Do you think I should call him? Should I wait for him to call? What if he decides that he doesn't really like me? What if he wants to just befriends? I don't think I could go back to being friends.” As I was spilling my worries to my animals my phone chirped, I pulled it own and clicked a couple buttons to get to the text.
I had a great time tonight, can't wait until next time.
I grinned, he liked me! He really, really liked me!! I kissed the dogs on their heads and had a huge grin on my face as I quickly typed out my response.
Me too, and next time we'll meet up at my place.
After I hit send I got up from the spot I held on the floor my thoughts of hot cocoa gone. I floated up to my room, and I took a quick shower. After my shower I dressed in a pair of lime green boxers and Sponge bob pajamas pants. I snuggled into my pillows and blankets where I fell asleep with a smile on my face for the first time in weeks.

“Icky stop,” I giggled pushing the little beast away, he evaded my hand and continued to lick my face and tickle me with his furry face.
“Isn't this a sweet sight,” A high pitched mocking voice rang through my room. Icky stopped what he was doing and turned to growl at the intruder, Gena. It was a very messy break-up. I caught her in our bed with the maid and the pool boy, before she could even try to come up with some excuse I threw her out my my house, had the locks changed, the pool boy and maid fired, and threw all her stuff on the curb. How she had gotten in was a mystery to me.
“How the fuck did you get in?” I snarled, then pushed myself out of bed. She dangled the spare key I kept hidden in a flower pot in front of my face.
“Now Zacky we really must find better hiding places for our stuff.” She crooned, obviously proud of herself. I snatched the key out of her hand, she smirked. “Baby, I've had that key for days.”
“Get the fuck out.” I pointed to the door as I yelled.
“No, I don't think I will. See when you kicked me out I had nowhere to go, my parents didn't want me back, and my friends didn't want me there either. So I figure you owe me a hotel room or something.” She was trying to be sly, but I saw right through it. I knew that she was only with me for the money, and she wasn't getting another penny from me.
“I don't think so bitch, get the fuck outta my house before I call the police.” I hissed, inches away from her face. The smirk melted from her face and her eyes became little slits. “Honey your in way over your head, so take your skank ass back to whatever rock you climbed out from underneath.” She glowered at me but stood up and left rigidly. It looks like it's time to change the locks again. I called the locksmith and they said they would send someone out in a few hours. Then I called Val, she was like a sister to me, and I felt like it was time to gush.
“What in the world do you want at seven in the morning Vengeance?” She growled, huh that early?
“Sorry, I woke up face to face with Gena.” I sighed, I heard her sit up, and growl.
“What the fuck did that bitch want?” She was snarling, and I could picture her as a momma wolf trying to protect her cubs.
“Oh you know the usual, she needs a place to stay, and money for this or that. I kicked her out and I also have to get the locks changed.” I sighed, and got out of bed once again. I needed coffee to deal with this shit.
“Oh, I just wanna kick her head in.” I snorted but agreed, that would be nice. “So, how was your date last night?” She asked with a slight squeal.
“It was great he made me dinner, we watched The Blind Side, and he walked to my car and kissed me.” I gushed like a fourteen year old girl. I heard her squeal into the phone, she was really one of my best friends. “We decided we didn't want to tell the guys yet, we don't want them to freak and the band to break up.”
“You know that won't happen, Matt doesn't care as long as your happy and neither does Johnny.” I wanted to believe her, I really did. To tell the truth I was hesitant about this, I had know of my attraction to the male species for years now, but this was the first I had acted on it. I heard something on the other line being thrown away, “What did you just throw away?” My curiosity always got the best of me.
“Oh, just some old chocolates.” I gasped in horror
“NO! You can’t throw chocolate away! That’s like throwing… a baby reindeer away!” I yelled into the receiver. She laughed, knowing that I hated chocolate with a passion, unless it was in milk or in a steaming hot mug of cocoa.
“So when you gonna see lover boy again?”
“I'm not sure, I'm home bound today until the locksmith gets here to change the locks again. Gena implied that she had copies made of my key. Ugh, I hate her.”
“Wow, you sounded so like a gay man just now, it's freaky.”
“Oh, bitch please you ain't heard nothing yet, now let me grab my Icky and I'll come kick your scrawny ass.” I used an over exaggerated falsetto voice and made my lisp more prominent. She was full out laughing down and I bet there were even tears running down her cheeks.
“Baby, I don't think you could get near my ass.” She gasped out between giggles. Who's that baby I heard Matt in the background, his voice still thick with sleep. “It's Zacky sugar,” There was a grunt of acknowledgment, and “Z, I'ma go, papa bear want's some.” I grimaced at the imagery and we said our good-byes. I looked at my phone and began to debate weather I wanted to call him or not, I couldn't decide. I was torn between wanting to call and not making myself look clingy, as my inner debate was going on, my doorbell rang. I set my phone down and walked to my door, when I opened it he was there. He had a bag in each hand and a large grin on his face.
“I was think about calling you.” I told him, “but this is much better.” I let him in, and tried to take a bag as I leaned in to kiss him on the cheek.
“Nooo,” He said in a high pitched voice moving the bag away, but accepting the kiss, “I brought some breakfast.” I followed him into the kitchen where he laid out assorted fruits, bagels, and yogurts.
“Thanks, your so sweet.” I blushed, why did I have to act like a fourteen year old Justin Bieber fan? I forgot about that little thought when I felt his hands on my hips, spreading warmth through my torso, and his lips placing themselves on my forehead, cheeks, nose, and finally my lips. It was a slow and sultry kiss, I stifled a grown as he caught my bottom lip in his teeth, and tried to ignore the tingles that were flowing through me like electric shocks.
He pulled away and rested his forehead against mine, “Hi.” I think I may have melted a little, I grinned, “Hi back.” He leaned in and pecked me on the cheek before looking around. “I think this is the cleanest I've ever seen this place.” I couldn't help but laugh.
