Sloppy Love Jingles

chapter 7

"You better be ready tomorrow, Zacky." Brian said. "Seven o'clock."

"I'll be ready." Zacky said. He noticed Keegan was standing outside with that guy she had been dancing with all night. He walked over to her. "Sweet heart," He said. The guy gave them both funny looks. "I'm leaving." He said.

"You're leaving?" She asked. "Why?" Zacky shrugged.

"I'm bored." He said.

"Well, how am I going to get home?" She asked again. Zacky just shrugged as he began walking to his car. Keegan groaned before turning to the guy and saying good night. "Zacky, wait up." She called out. When they both got into his car, Keegan went off. "You're not bored, Zacky. You're fucking jealous."

"Jealous of who?" Zacky asked. He looked out the window. "That guy?" Keegan rolled her eyes and folded her arms over her chest. "I'm not jealous sweet heart. I'm just bored." He said. He started up the car before looking at her. "If you want to stay then stay. I'm sure he'd be more than willing to take you home."

"Fine." Keegan said. "I'm staying." She reached to unlock the door, but Zacky put his hand on her leg. Keegan turned to look at him. "What?" She asked. Zacky placed his hand behind her neck and pulled her face towards his. Keegan was happy she wasn't standing while they were kissing, because she was sure she would've fallen to her knees. It was almost as good as their first kiss. Keegan took a deep breath after he pulled away. Zacky looked at her for a short moment before smiling.

"Have fun." He said. He turned back in his seat and grabbed a hold of the wheel. Keegan was stunned as she opened the door. It just seemed so odd the way he would kiss her, and then dismiss her as if she were one of his friends.

Keegan stepped out of the car and shut the door. She didn't even make it half way across the lawn when she decided to turn back around and get back inside the car. She took her place in the passenger seat before looking at Zacky. "You can stay if you want Keegan." He said. Keegan gave him this look that made him luagh. "I meant to say sweet heart." He said laughing.

"I don't want to stay." She said.

"You sure?" Zacky asked her. "Because I won't be driving you back over here once you throw a fit." Keegan leaned over the armrest and kissed Zacky quickly on the lips.

"I'm sure." She said. Neither one of them said a word during the ride home. Zacky was terrified he'd say something to piss her off, and Keegan was shocked about what she had just done. But their silence said it all. They liked each other. It was more of a surprise to Keegan than Zacky. She realized she liked him once she got back in his car.

When they arrived at Keegan's house, they didn't know what to expect. Neither one of them knew what was going to happen next. They were both quiet as they got out the car. They didn't even look at each other. But as they were walking up to the front door, Zacky reached out and grabbed Keegan's hand, lacing his fingers with hers. Keegan's heart fluttered. She felt weak. "Zacky..." She said, breaking their silence. Zacky lifted her hand and kissed it.

"You wanna open the door?" He asked her. Keegan hadn't even realized they stopped walking. She let out this embarrased giggle that only caused Zacky to kiss her hand again.

"Sorry." She said reaching into her pocket. She pulled out her keys and unlocked the door. When they stepped inside, they saw Chloe and Jason lounging on the sofa. Their eyes grew wide when they noticed Zacky and Keegan holding hands.

"Well," Jason said looking down at his watch. "This is probably the earliest you've ever been home." He said to Keegan. "What's the occasion?" He asked. Jason looked at Zacky. "Zacky?"

"I was bored." Zacky said shrugging. He pulled Keegan towards the stairs.

"Good night." Keegan said over her shoulder.

"Good night." Jason and Chloe said. Keegan heard them mumbling some stuff to each other, but she didn't let it bother her.

"What do you think they're saying?" Zacky asked her as they reached her room. Keegan just shrugged.

"I could care less." She said closing her door. They stood there looking at each other. Now they didn't know what to do. "You're awfully quiet, Zacky." Keegan said as she set her keys on top of her dresser. She opened one of her drawers and began looking for something to sleep in. "What did you bring me up here for?" She turned around and looked at him.

"What do you think I brought you up here for?" He asked her. Keegan shrugged.

"I thought you were going to go home."

"Do you want me to go home?"

Keegan stood there looking at Zacky. He was now leaning against her door with his arms folded across his chest. He was looking down at his shoes and biting on his bottom lip. Keegan couldn't help but smile. He looked adorable, almost innocent.

"Well?" He said looking up at her. "Do you want me to go?" Keegan shook her head.

"No." Keegan said. "I want youu to come over here."
