To Write Love on His Arms

Nine-

"Oh. Hey Sunshine." I smiled when I realized he and Lyn were watching me. I quickly looked up into the cabinet and grabbed the medicine I had been searching for. Jeez. I'm such a loser that I couldn't even fucking see it when it was just right there. You're eye June.

"Sit down." I said while opening a drawer and reaching into it for a spoon. I made my way to the brown wooden table in the middle of the dinning room that connected to the kitchen. I dragged my feet over the carpet and then laid the spoon and medicine bottle on the table in front of Atticus. Instantly his mouth turned into a frown and look of disgust crossed his eyes. I chuckled, causing him to look up at me.

"Sure it sucks, but it will help a lot." I said to him. His nose just scrunched up and he shook his head. I nodded at him, "Two spoon fulls."

"Lyn!" I said happily and turned my attention to her. She barked happily and ran to my feet then sat. I grinned and bent down a bit. "Are you hungry Sugar?" I cooed. Lyn barked again and wagged her tail. "Oh I bet you are huh?" She jumped up and walked around me barking again. I giggled and walked overt to the counter top then placed Atticus' bowl of soup in front of him. I then grabbed a plate with vegetables and chicken and placed it on the floor for Lyn.

I smiled down at her and then served myself a bowl of soup, making sure to add a lot of lemon to it. I loved anything sour. After I served myself I headed to the table and sat across from the petite boy.

His big brown eyes watched my every movement, as if he automatically assumed I'd suddenly stand up and hurt him. Then again....

"So how old are you Hun?" I asked after eating some of my meal. He just looked at me and it was obvious that he wasn't going to speak. I mentally slapped myself for the pet name I had given him. I just wasn't use to conversing with people, I couldn't help it. "Ah, the silent treatment eh?" I smirked at him. He just continued eating his soup. I glanced over at Lyn who was devouring her food as if she'd been starving her whole life. Adorable.

"Teen?" I asked averting my attention back to him. He nodded his head unsure. I was slightly shocked. "Hm, older than fifteen for sure though, right?" I asked and scooped another spoon full of soup. Again Atticus nodded his head.

"Seventeen." I guessed. he shook his head. "Uh... nineteen?" I asked already thinking he''d say no and that he was barely eighteen but to my surprise he nodded his head at the answer. "Whoa you're nineteen?" Atticus nodded his head. I wonder how his voice sounded like.

"You're pretty short though." I stated and he just shrugged his shoulders. "Run in the family?" I assumed and he once again nodded his head but this time slowly. "Cool cool." I murmured and continued eating the delicious soup.

"I'm twenty-one." I said, it seemed as if the word echoed through out the room. Things were silent, too silent and once again I felt pretty lonely. I was twenty-one and all my life I had been pushed away by others. I never had a lover, but I had figured out enough to know I swung both ways and loved both genders. They both just seemed so beautiful to me.

I don't get what was wrong about being gay, after all "You fall in love with a person not a gender.

It's a bit short and I know I'm sorry but I have to leave in a bit so yeah. The couple of next chapters should be better though.
