Something Vague.

“So what’s the plan for tonight?”

“Movie night!”

“I agree with my dear friend Patrick, I say it should be a horror film marathon”, Garrett said with a wide grin on his face. “Bring on the blood and guts!”

“If I didn’t know better I would have sworn you’re some kind of serial killer in the making”, Jared said looking down at his phone.

“I might just be so better sleep with one eye open bitch!”

“Don’t scare me like that!” Pat yelled making me laugh at how ridiculous he acted sometimes.

I stood up from where I was sitting stretching my body. I looked down at my plaid slippers and then back at the guys giving me confused looks.

“Where the fuck are you going now?” Tim asked with an annoyed look on his face.

“He’s off to Carly’s house”, Jared said in a whining voice.

“I’m going to see if she wanted to come over for movies”, I said with a shrug.

“Why don’t you just text her?”

I just shrugged before walking towards and out the door. I walked across the lawn looking over at the gnomes lined up on the lawn, all facing different directions. I got to the door and before I could knock the door was busted open and there she stood with a smile on her face, I looked down at her short shorts and hoodie.

“Yes John?”

“How did you know I was coming over?”

“How did I not know?” she asked with a smirk.

“Oh I forgot you know everything”, I said moving my fingers around making her laugh. “What are you doing tonight?”

“Nothing, I’m guessing I’m hanging out with you.”

“Yes, we’re having movie night if you would like to come with us.”

“I’m always down for movie night”, she said with a smile.

She locked and shut the door behind her and followed me to the house. I wrapped my arm around her shoulders as we walked inside the house.

“Carly bear!”

“Hey Patty cakes”, she said smiling down at Pat.

“Are you going to have movie night with us?” Garrett asked looking up at her with a smile on his face.

“I didn’t really have an option with this guy”, she said taking a seat on the floor, leaning her head against Kennedy’s legs.

“Like you didn’t want to come”, I said taking a seat next to her.

“Well I didn’t want to break this cock fest loving. My vagina is tainting this boys club.”

“Trust me vagina makes everything better”, Jared said with a laugh. “I’m sick of being around guys all day.”

“That must really suck ginger love.”

“It does, you don’t even know.”

She just laughed looking over at me with a smile. I couldn’t help but to smile back before our moment was ruined by the guys moving around grabbing food and throwing it all in reach. I got up and grabbed the Mutant Ninja Turtle blanket putting it over Carly.

“So what’s on the menu tonight?” she asked looking over at the junk food.

“Heart attack”, Kennedy said taking a bite of his cookie.

“My favorite”, she said with a smile taking the jar of peanut butter and shoving a spoon in it.

“What movies are on the list for tonight?”

“Horror movies my dear”, Garrett said with the biggest smile on his face, I couldn’t help but to laugh. We never let him pick the movies, because all the movies he picked had to do with killing and way too much blood to handle.

“Oh, like what?” she asked looking around as the lights were turned off.

“Starting it off with Killer Klowns from Outer Space.”

I couldn’t help but to laugh. From the time that I’ve met Garrett I think I’ve seen this movie about 100 times. Once the movie was on we just watched the screen, laughs could be heard at how ridiculous this all was. I looked over at Tim who wasn’t very fond of this movie, he always hated clowns. I felt Carly move closer to me, her legs practically on mine. I watched her look at the movie with such interest like she’s never seen the movie. When that was over Garrett ran up to put in Dead Snow, a crazy Nazi zombie movie. I sat there watching the guys eat away at the girl, and here Carly was getting closer and closer after every scene. I finally got the sign to put my arm around her and hold her closer to me. I felt happy just having her get in my arms; she was just probably trying to get comfortable.

“That movie was fucking sick!”

“Yeah I know dude, but so unrealistic”, Garrett said getting up and putting on another movie.

“Yeah like zombies is a realistic thing”, Kennedy said with a roll of his eyes.

“Don’t get me started Kenny, its possible”, he said turning around making me laugh. Kenny knew this was the way to push Garrett’s buttons. Garrett was a strong believer that a zombie apocalypse was possible.

“Dude you don’t know what our government is capable, I mean they do all these fucking tests on shit and then one day they can make this fucking disease. Like some weird form of rabies that makes us go complete ape shit in rage. And have some kind of uncontrollable appetite that we eat each other”, he said getting crazy on all of us making all of us laugh except Carly. “It’s possible my man, it’s possible.”

I looked down at Carly and saw her look at Garrett with big eyes, looking kind of scared. I honestly couldn’t believe that of all girls Carly would be scared of something like this, this girl was way too tough.

“Do you think that could happen?” she asked in a low whisper as the beginning credits of The Exorcist came on.

“No”, I said with a little laugh shaking my head. “Just don’t tell Garrett” I said with a smile.

She nodded her head with a smile before leaning her head on me and wrapping an arm around my waist. I felt her move her body into mine holding me as the creepiest movie played in front of us. I wasn’t normally scared of shit but Linda Blair is one freaky bitch in the movie.

“It’s just a movie”, I whispered in her ear pulling the blanket from her eyes.

She just brought the blanket up to her face making me laugh a bit. I looked around at all the guy’s kind of drifting to sleep during the movie, but I couldn’t with this beautiful girl in my arms.

“Ahhhh!”

I heard a loud blood curling scream come from the little girl on my lap, waking me up even more. All the guys jumped up and I looked down at her shaking in my lap.

“Carlton it’s a movie”, I said with a laugh rubbing her back.

“Carly bear are you fucking with us?” Garrett asked with a laugh.

“Yeah, you guys were all asleep and I’m wide awake”, she said completely lying but I don’t think the other guys noticed because they just laughed.

“The movies almost over anyways, I wanna watch Night of the Living Dead before I go to sleep.”

I watched Garrett get up from his seat putting on another movie. I felt Carly get in my lap, practically lay on me. I didn’t care; I just figured she was trying to get even more comfortable. And I’m all for a beautiful girl on top of me. I held her close as she covered her face with the blanket. I let my eyes fall asleep, it was already 3 in the morning and I was beat. I fell into a deep sleep, beyond tired.

“John.”

I didn’t move our open my eyes but just mumble a bit. I couldn’t function I was way too tired. I closed my eyes back up before I felt someone shaking me. I opened my eyes and saw Carly looking at me frantic looking.

“What’s wrong?”

“You fell asleep.”

“Sleep is good, you should try it”, I said with a laugh looking around at everyone passed out.

I looked over at Garrett cuddling up on Kennedy; we really did need females in this place. I looked over at the brothers laying there, Pat in a little ball and Tim spread across the floor. I close my eyes once more before being pushed and shook.

“Johnnnnn”, I heard her whine.

“What?” I asked looking into her eyes, seeing fear in her eyes. “What’s wrong?”

“I’m scared”, she said in the cutest voice, I just wanted to kiss her right there and then.

“It’s just a movie, wanna spend the night?”

She nodded her head fast looking a scared little girl. I just laughed before getting up from where I was. She followed me. I walked down the dark hallway and into my room; I looked back and saw that Carly didn’t follow. I walked back out seeing her stand there with her arms across her chest.

“Why didn’t you follow me?”

“Coming”, she said with a smile.

I just shook my head confused before walking down the hall and into my room turning the light on. That when I heard little feet sprint down the tile floor and straight into my room going straight into the bed. I looked at her with a laugh confused. I just rolled my eyes before shutting the door and stripping down in just my sweats and getting into the bed. I leaned over to turn off the light, that’s when she stopped me.

“Can you leave them on?”

“Why?”

“You can’t laugh okay?”

“Scouts honor”, I said putting up the three fingers.

She took a bit out of her lip giving me this feeling in my stomach. The littlest of things turn me on. She gave me an innocent smile before looking down at her small feet that were bouncing off of each other.

“I’m terrified of the dark.”

“Wait, what?” I asked with a smirk.

“Don’t smile, this is serious!” she said hitting my side. “I’m scared of the dark.”

“Any reasons?”

“Nope, I’m just scared of the dark”, she said settling herself in my bed. “I know it’s childish and you probably think I’m an even bigger freak. But I’m a 21 year old girl that’s afraid of the dark.”

I couldn’t help but to laugh, she sat up quick and gave me a death glare but that just made me laugh a little harder. She hit my arm rather hard making me groan in pain holding the spot where she hit me.

“Ow.”

“Don’t laugh!”

I’m not laughing at you”, I said with a laugh. “Well maybe I am.”

“John”, she said with a pout making me want to just kiss her lips.

“It’s cute though, I promise.”

She just rolled her eyes before getting in the bed. I laid back into the bed rolling myself to the side, holding every fiber in me not to grab her hips and hold her into me. She turned around to face me giving me the same glare.

“Don’t tell anyone.”

“I promise”, I said linking my pinky into hers.

She gave me a smile before looking up into my eyes. She pushed my hair out of my eyes with a smile, and I suddenly felt hot. I suddenly got those gay ass butterflies that seemed to be the size of ostriches in my stomach. “I won’t let the monster get you.”
