Friday came fast, i went to work and was able to get out a little early since i didnt have anything to do. I got to my car and checked my phone for messages sine it was on silent all day. I had one message from Alex, it said: Hey babe i slid your tickets and backstage passes under your door, theres two tickets and backstage passes. Bring Melinda! -Alex. I called Melinda and she was excited, i picked her up and we rushed home so i could change.
"Okay lets see, Alex said he slid the tickets and passes- there they are" i said going over to pick the envelope up
"This is so exciting!" she said
"Yep, ooh theres a note" i said opening the envelope
"Read it" she said
"Okay, it says: Hey Sophie!, theses are your tickets and passes, they're VIP passes we give to family members. So show a security guard and they'll take you straight to us. Its at the club room and the doors open at 7, show starts at 7:30 and we got on 8:15. See you tonight, love you! -Alex" i said reading the note
"Awww cute, well its almost 6. Should we head over now?" she asked
"How about i get dressed now and then we can leave at like 6:30" i said
"Okay" she said
I ran to my room and took off my scrubs, i put on a white t-shirt with a blue and black plaid button down shirt over it unbuttoned. I put on gray skinny jeans and my converse and then ran out to the livingroom.
"Good?" i asked Melinda
"Its perfect" she said
"Awesome" i said
We waited a litle while longer and then we left for the show. By the time we got there it was almost 7, we got in line and waited. Once we got in we went over to a security guard and he lead us to backstage. He walked us down a long hall and pointed to All Time Lows dressing room, we thanked him and i knocked and a minute later the door opened.
"Hey!, guys look whos here" Jack said opening the door and he let us in
"Hey babe im so glad you guys made it!" he said hugging me
"Me to" i said and he turned to give Melinda a quick hug
"So are you excited?" Zack asked
"Yeah, really nervous though. I cant remember the words" i said
"I got that covered" Alex said
"Oh okay" i said worry in my voice
"Dont worry you'll do great" Rian said putting his arm around me
"Thanks" i said
We waited around while the first band played. At 8:10 we all went to the side of the stage, i was getting super nervous because i didnt know when they were playing Remembering Sunday. Later that night when they only had two songs left i started getting really scared because i knew i'd be singing in the next ten minutes. They played the song i noticed as weightless and then once they finished i knew it was time.
"Okay so we have one last song for you all, but i have a surprise. I have someone very special thats gonna be singing it with me. I want you to all give a big warm welcome for my girlfriend Sophie" Alex said and i walked out on stage and Zack handed me his mic
"Hey" i said as the rest of All Time Low left the stage and the audience started going crazy
"So Sophie are you excited?" Alex said
"Yep" i said
"Good, heres the lyrics. I wrote them down and highlighted your part since i knew you'd probably have a hard time remembering the words because you only heard the song twice" Alex said pulling a paper out of his pocket and handed it to me
"Thanks" i said
"Okay, here we go" Alex said and started the song and everyone got excited
I could feel my knees shaking because i was so nervous, i never sang infront of a audience this big before. I unfolded the paper and followed along. He sang his verse before mine and once it was my part he stepped back a little and i sang. I was nervous at first but then i got used to it, it was a lot easier having Alex singing backup. It put less pressure on me. After i finished everyone cheered and Alex finished the song and we said goodnight and walked backstage.
"You were amazing!" Melinda said hugging me and everyone agreed
"Thanks" i said
"You were babe, that was so amazing!" Alex said kissing me
"Thanks" i said
"Alright, now whose up for a drink?!" Jack said
"Me!" we all cheered and left to go to a bar
That was so fun no wonder Alex loves it!...
