I'm Feeling Things Are About to Change

Is That My Hoodie?

I woke up in the morning to someone pounding on the door. Maybe they weren’t pounding, but the way it made my head pound, someone wasn’t going to be greeted by a very happy Kylee.

I lay there, hoping they would go away, but they didn’t. They just kept knocking… and knocking and knocking! A groan came out of me as I pulled myself from Luke’s arms. It made him stir a little and hug onto my pillow. Even though I washung over having the worst headache known to man, I still smiled at how cute my little Aussie was.

But then that stupid knock broke me from my little day dream from him. I huffed and picked his hoodie up off of the floor and trudged down the stairs to get the door. Why couldn’t they just get the hint that I didn’t want to see anyone? I mean… they’ve been knocking for like five minutes now!

“I’m coming!” I shouted, cringing from how horsed my own voice was. How much did I drink last night?

I shook that thought aside and answered the door… and then wanted to slam it shut again. Standing right in front of me was… my ex-boyfriend. What does he want?

“Hey,” he said with a way too kind smile.

“What do you want?” I shot back.

“Well, hello to you too,” he smirked while walking passed me. I don’t want you in my house! Especially with Luke upstairs! “Someone had a good time last night. Where’d you go?” he went on while sitting on the couch.

“Out,” I simply replied while crossing my arms across my chest.

He eyed me funny though. He was concentrating on something. His eyes were squinted. I returned his look though. What is up with him?

“Is that… my hoodie?” he asked.

I just shook my head. Just because there’s a Rockstar logo on it, doesn’t mean it’s yours, Jimmy! I’m so ticked off at him right now!

“No, it’s my boyfriend’s,” I shot back.

Something changed in his eyes. He didn’t like that little comment. Good. He shouldn’t be at my house anyway. Why can’t he just be with his girlfriend? I would rather be lying all cuddled up with Luke right now. But I’m standing here, pretty much glaring at him.

He seemed to be at a loss for words now though. I sighed and tried to say something, but I heard footsteps from upstairs. I looked over towards the stairway and saw Luke making his way down… and he was shirtless. He had pulled his jeans back on, but they didn’t cover the waistband of his boxers. That look suited him so well. I smiled at him. His quickly came over him and came over to give me a quick kiss, but I pulled him back in for a more… appropriate one.Not to make Jimmy jealous or anything.

“Morning, baby,” he said cutely with our lips still close to each other’s.

“Morning, sexy,” I beamed through my headache, making his smile come back over him.

He pressed his lips to mine for another kiss, but Jimmy had to have a little fake cough moment. I rolled my eyes, but Luke darted his eyes over to him. That’s right, baby.Give him the ole stare down.

“Luke, this is Jimmy,” I sighed, not wanting him to be here still! “Jimmy, this is Luke,” I couldn’t help but smile as I wrapped my arms around his bare, toned middle tightly.

He smiled too and bent down to give my forehead a quick kiss, making my cheek burn. Jimmy’s face said it all though. He didn’t like this at all. It made me smile and nuzzled my way into Luke’s chest.

“Can I ask why he’s here?” Luke asked, keeping his eyes on Jimmy.

“I don’t… really know… He just kind of showed up,” I replied.

“I was just… making sure she was ok. I haven’t seen her in a while and… yeah. I’ll leave you two alone,” he said quickly while stomping towards the door.

He shut it with a slam that I’m pretty sure rattled the whole house. I didn’t care though. I was still pressed up against Luke.

“Is Jimmy anything to you?” he asked after his truck pealed out of the driveway.

I just sighed and walked over to the couch, plopping down and cradling my still pounding head. Luke and I haven’t had the ‘ex discussion’ yet… and I kind of didn’t want to. I want to be over him. I can’t do that if I keep talking about him.

He did come over and sit next to me though. Once he hooked an arm around me, I rested my head on his shoulder. He even kissed my forehead softly and pushed the hair out of my face.

“You can tell me, baby,” he said in the sweetest tone that it actually made me smile.

“He’s my ex…” I sighed, not wanting to go into too much detail.

“And why is he your ex?” he kept going.

“I… cheated,” I pushed out. He stayed quiet for a few seconds, making me regret saying those two little words. “But it wasn’t like… I don’t want to be with you anymore cheating. It was just I was lonely and this guy was giving me attention while he was gone and… it just happened,” I hurried to say. “We tried to work things out, but… he didn’t trust me anymore,” I finished with another sigh.

He still didn’t say anything. I just sat there with my head on his shoulder, playing with the hem of his hoodie. But his hand started rubbing my arm up and down gently. This simple action made me smile.

“Well, he’s missing out on something amazing isn’t he?” he finally spoke, making me smile as I looked up into his gorgeous brown eyes.

“You’re amazing, Lukie,” I grinned making a cute shade of red come over his dimpled cheeks.

“No, you are,” he countered, leaving kisses on my neck so that I’d giggle. Nu uh… he’s not getting away that easily.

“You are,” I giggled.

“Whateva,” he said in his own little Aussie way. It was so darn cute!

So… I guess he won this one… from his cute Aussiness. But I didn’t do anything for the rest of the day. I was tending to myhangover headache! while Luke teased me for being a lightweight. Whatever… or as he says, whateva.

I couldn’t help but think that I was forgetting something. How did we get here last night? I hate that I can’t remember. All I remember is Luke carrying me up the stairs… and then I woke upto Jimmy knocking on my door! in Luke’s arms. Oh, well… maybe I’ll figure it out later.
