Is She Still The Sweetest Girl?

“Dude…He is gonna be crying when he reads this,” Sophia said handing back the notebook.

“Really?” I asked closing it.

“Yeah, Look at me, I already am,” she said laughing while wiping her cheeks where her tears have fallen.

“I just hope this will make him understand how much he means to me,” I said looking down at the notebook.

“Honey, He already does. He wouldn’t have asked you to marry him if he didn’t know,” she said grabbing my hand. I looked up at her and smiled.

“True, true,” I said.

“Cannonball!” I heard someone yell and looked over at the pool in time to see Zacky attempt to do a cannonball, but instead doing a face plant right into the pool. We were all over at her and Zacky’s place for a little barbeque thing before the wedding tomorrow.

“What a retard,” Sophia said shaking her head.

“Hey, you’re dating him,” I said laughing.

“Nope not anymore,” she said. I whipped my head around to her.

“What!?” I yelled.

“We aren’t dating,” she said with a smile.

“Why are you smiling?! Did he break up with you? Do I need to kick his ass?” I asked getting up and going over to Zacky.

“No! Stop, come back,” she said. I signed and sat back down.

“We aren’t dating, we are engaged,” she said holding up her left hand to show off the diamond ring.

“God, you almost gave me a heart attack,” I said putting my hand over my heart.

“Sorry,” she said laughing.

“When did he ask you?” I asked laying back down in the chair.

“3 days ago when he had the ‘hair problem’,” she said doing air quotes.

“Awe, that’s cute. So how did he do it?” I asked looking over at the pool and laughing when I saw Jimmy screaming like a girl and yelling ‘Spider!’.

“Well, he told me to go to my salon, so I did. And it was supposed to be open, but none of the lights were on so I got pissed. So, I unlock the door and go in, none of the girls were there, so I was even more mad. So, I went to go call them and see where they were, but there was a note tapped onto the phone and it said to go to the spot. And I knew it was from zacky because of his chicken scratch writing. But then I didn’t know what he was talking about for a while, but then I remembered back in the day we would go to the park and get drunk,” she said and I couldn’t help but smile remembering those days.

“So, I drive there and then forgot which spot, because there was the one by the little pond, and then the major one that was in the woods. So, I started to go to the one in the woods, but then saw another note on the ground that had my name on it, so I read it and it said that I was going the wrong way. So, I went to the other one and there he was in a tux standing next to a table with a white cloth over it and a candle right in the middle,” she said with a smile.

“Awwwe!” I squealed.

“Yeah, so then we had dinner and yeah…he asked me to marry him. It was cute because he had a duck walk over with the ring around its neck,” she said laughing.
I couldn’t help but laugh when she told me that.

“I brought the beer!” I heard Matt said coming out from the house.

I watched as all the guys ran over to him stealing the beer. I couldn’t help but smile when he made weird faces because the guys were freaking out over beer.
Once all the guys got away from him he came over to me.

“Hey babe,” he said leaning over the chair and kissing my forehead.

“Hey,” I said smiling.

“Awe! You guys are so cute. I knew you guys would get married,” Sophia said smiling.

“And I never thought you and zacky were going to date, let alone get married,” I said sticking my tounge out at her.

“Woah, What?” Matt said sitting down in front of me on the chair.

“Yep, he asked her the other day, see,” I said grabbing her left hand and showing matt the ring.

“Damn,” he said. I nodded and put her hand down.

“Zacky! Matt is being mean to me!” she yelled and started to fake cry.

“Shadows leave her alone or else I will kick your ass,” Zacky said coming over.

“Psh, I could beat you any day,” Matt said standing up. I couldn’t help but sit back and watch as these guys got into their stupid fights.

“Where’s the popcorn when you need it?” I said looking over at Sophia.

“I know right,” she said laughing.

“I could break you in half like a twig,” Matt said getting closer to Zacky.

“Yeah, I’d like to see you try,” Zacky said stepping even closer to Matt.

Just then Zacky grabbed Matt and pulled him into a headlock. Matt tried to push him away but it didn’t work. Suprisenly Zacky has gotten a lot stronger and could hold back the punches that Matt was throwing at his stomach. Zacky kneed him in the stomach and I knew that would lead to either one of them dead.

“Okay, okay, stop. I want to get married tomorrow, not plan a funeral,” I said getting up and pulling Matt away from Zacky. He still had anger in his eyes, but I could tell he didn’t want to hurt Zacky.

“Now, kiss and make up,” I said. They just stood there and then Matt pulled Zacky into a manly hug.

“When did you get so strong?” Matt said pulling away and putting his arm around my shoulders.

“The gym,” he said holding up his arm and flexing.
“Stop, you know what that does to me,” I heard Sophia say from her chair.

“I know, that’s why I do it,” he said flexing again.

“Damn you boy, come on,” she said getting up and grabbing Zacky and dragging him into the house.

“Well, means we should probably leave too,” Matt said. I nodded and turned back to the chair and put on my clothes that Sophia had gotten me. She thought it would be cute to get me sweatpants and a shirt that says ’Future Mrs. Sanders’ on the front of the shirt. And then on the butt of the pants says ’Matt’s property’.

“Oh, nice pants,” Matt said after I slipped them on.

“I know,” I said with a smile and slipped on my shirt. I grabbed my notebook and purse and turned back around.

“What’s the notebook for?” Matt said trying to grab it.

“You’ll find out,” I said turning some so he couldn’t grab it.

“Please?” he said giving me the puppy dogface.

“Nope, you’ll have to wait,” I said with a smile.

“Damn,” he said.

I smiled and grabbed his hand said bye to the rest of the guys.
We drove back to our house and decided to get to bed early because we both wanted tomorrow to come fast.

“Night babe,” Matt said kissing my neck.

“Night,” I said with a smile.

When I wake up I will be getting married to the love of my life. And just the thought of that made me get butterflies in my stomach.
