Without a Doubt You're All I Dream About

There's Room For Improvement

So, I finally took Todd up on his little ‘date’ offer. I had no idea what he had in his mind… and I think I should be a little bit scared. He asked me what my favorite movie was. Do I have time to watch movies?! But I told him Transformers. I just like to watch Bumble Bee.

But he never told me what we were doing. I didn’t even know what to wear! I just threw something on, attempting to look nice. As I was sliding shoes on, my doorbell rang. I did one last once over before I walked down the stairs to answer the door, trying to control my smile. He looked so cute!

“Is this your attempt of cleanly shaven?” I asked while gently rubbing his cheek that was just a tab bit scruffy tonight.

“Do you like it?” he asked with a smirk on his face.

“I don’t know… I’ll let you know before the nights over,” I teased.

“We’re going to have fun tonight,” he grinned as he slung an arm around my shoulders and led me to his truck.

“What are we doing?” I asked once he climbed into the driver’s seat.

“It’s a surprise,” he grinned over at me.

“Todders,” I whined.

“Why is that so cute when you say it, but when Kirstie does, it’s just like nails on a chalkboard?” he chuckled.

“Todd, be nice,” I shot at him, whacking his arm lightly.

He just kept right on chuckling as he drove. This guy… I’m still not sure about him. We’ve been texting here and there since the Mulisha barbeque. He’s funny. He cracks me up a lot. And he’s just gorgeous… and has dark brown eyes that I can get lost in for days. I think tonight may help though… whatever it is we’re doing!

The whole way to… wherever we were going, I kept asking him. He wouldn’t tell me! I was starting to get impatient too! But then he pulled up to a house… um…

“Welcome to my lovely dwelling,” he grinned once he shut his truck off.

“Why are we at your house?” I asked, eyeing him oddly. I’m not that type of girl, Todd!

“It’s a surprise… just for you,” he smiled before he climbed out of his truck.

I made a face at him that he never saw before I got out myself. He told me to close my eyes. I shot him a look, but he just smiled innocently. This guy doesn’t strike me as too innocent. But I still did it. His warn hand slid into mine as he led me, I’m guessing inside.

Once I heard the door close behind us, I wanted to open my eyes. But of course he said to keep them close. I still stuck my tongue out at him, making a chuckle of his ring through my ears.

My feet walked on hard floor before it took a step onto carpet. I sensed that the room was dimly lit. I wanted to open my eyes so badly! Once I couldn’t take it anymore, Todd’s hand left mine and then he whispered in my ear:

“Open your eyes.”

I slowly did and saw the cutest little sight in his living room. Right in front of his TV were a few beanbag chairs, blankets, and pillows. It looked so comfy! On the TV, was the main menu for the first Transformers movie too!

“Aw, Todd,” I couldn’t help but smile.

He returned my grin before he went over and plopped down on one of the beanbags. I giggled at the sound it made. He just shot me a look and opened his arms for me. I couldn’t resist this sight. I went over and fell into his arms.

As we watched the movie, I rested my head on his chest, listening to his steady heartbeat. I don’t know why exactly, but it made me smile. Occasionally, his hand would rub my back gently, making me grin even more. But… he wasn’t talking. Kirstie’s talked a lot about Todd. Him being quiet wasn’t something she’s mentioned!

“Can I ask you something?” I asked, looking up at him.

“Sure,” he replied, sitting up so we could make eye contact better.

“Are you like… ok?” I asked, giggling at my own words.

“Yeah… why?” he asked, scrunching up his features. It was cute.

“You’re being kind of quiet,” I told him.

“You make me nervous,” he sighed, but there was a small smile in his voice.

“Why do I make you nervous?” I asked quickly, sitting up out of his arms.

“You just do,” he countered before nuzzling his cute little nose into the crook of my neck.

“Aw, Todd,” I cooed while running my hands through his thick dark locks.

“You’re just… pretty and smart and you’re like this artsy, creative person and I… just ride dirt bikes,” he shrugged.

“It’s not like I look down on you because you ride dirt bikes though. That’s something that takes so much skill and confidence and courage. It’s amazing what you do,” I told him, lifting his chin up so his eyes would look into mine.

“And I’m sexy,” he had to add with a smirk.

“Yes, Todd… you are sexy. I’ll admit it,” I sighed, but my smile cracked its way through.

“So, you’ll be my girlfriend?” he slipped right in there.

“What makes you so sure I want a sexy boyfriend?” I teased as his arms hooked back around me.

“Because your eyes are sparkling the brightest that I have ever seen them,” he spoke softly with his lips nearly brushing against mine.

I couldn’t help it! I reached over and pressed my lips against his. But as he started to deepen it, I pulled away, leaving his face wrinkled up in confusion.

“I can’t have a boyfriend that’s a horrible kisser,” I taunted.

“Did I meet your expectations?” he grinned.

“There’s room for improvement,” I had to teased.

“I would love for you to be the person that helps me,” he smirked while pulling me closer to him.

“I’ll try,” I couldn’t help but grin.

His own smile grew before he connected our lips once again. I may still be a little unsure of having a boyfriend, but… just look at Todd. He’s drop dead sexy. I can’t look at that man and not smile… and he is a really good kisser. I just like messing with his ego… that adds to his sexiness… just a little bit.
