We've Got It All Figured Out... For Now

JOHN IS SENDING KYLEE AND I TO PARIS! Why you may ask… to study new types of art. I’m sorry but I think most art galleries are stupid, they’re all weird art. I’ve been to a lot and I’ve seen some things that I don’t understand, like a can sitting on a table….a line on a piece of paper. What kind of art is that? Well it’s not art if you ask me.

”Mommy!” Emma squealed, breaking me out of my reverie.

“Hey honey,” I smiled while she crawled on my lap and I left a big kiss on her head.

“Mama! Mama!” Christian shouted while bouncing up and down in Josh’s arms.

I took him from my hubby and set Christian on my desk while poking his tummy, making giggles come out of him.

“I got pizza, that okay with you?” Josh asked while putting the box down on my desk.

“Yeah that’s fine. Thanks for bringing it, that’s so sweet,” I cooed while giving him a kiss.

“How’d the meeting go?” He questioned as Emma grabbed a piece and I ripped off some crust into small bites for Christian. “I brought him some yogurt,” Josh said while handing me the container and a spoon.

“It ticked Kylee off,” I started while feeding Christian the yogurt.

“Why’s that?” Josh asked through a mouthful of pizza.

“Because John’s making us go to Paris for two and a half weeks,” I sighed.

“Really? Why?” He went on.

“It’s ’to help us study different forms of art’ or some stupid thing like that,” I rolled my eyes, quoting John.

“Hey, that sounds like fun,” Josh grinned.

“You really think so?”

“Yeah I mean, you love art and you get a chance to check out other people’s work and get inspired. Besides, it’s two weeks off of work and you get paid to go on a little vacation,” He explained.

“Two and a half weeks,” I corrected. “It’s just… I don’t want to leave you guys that long,” I sighed while cupping Christian’s cheek with my hand then leaving a kiss on his forehead.

“Mommy, I could hide in your suitcase!” Emma squealed through all the pizza she had in her mouth.

“That is so your daughter,” Josh chuckled as he picked me up then sat down in my chair and pulled me onto his lap, hooking one arm around me and held his pizza with the other.

“I’m going to miss you guys but there’s no way I can get out of it,” I pouted. “I have to leave next week too.”

“You’ll have fun, don’t worry,” Josh smiled.

“But… you’ll have races and practices. Who’ll take care of the kids?” I asked.

“My mom or dad will help out I’m sure; they love watching the kids,” He told me. “And Todd and I can combine forces.”

“Well that scares me,” I giggled. “But you think I should go?”

“Yeah I do. I think it’s a good opportunity for you and I think you’ll have fun,” Josh reassured me.

“Can we call you Mommy?” Emma asked.

“Are you kidding? I’ll be calling you every day,” I smiled while kissing her cheek then kissing Christian and Josh’s as well.

“We should go see Mason,” Emma shyly smiled.

Josh and I shared a giggle before walking down to Ky’s office. Emma and Mason immediately went to each other while Josh sat in a chair next to Todd with Christian in his lap and I sat on the edge of Ky’s desk.

“You going?” I asked.

“Yeah, I think so,” Ky replied. “Besides, I don’t think I can get out of it,” She sighed while looking down at Jayden.

“You two girls will have fun. The two of you are going to go crazy,” Josh snickered.

“Yeah, really,” Todd laughed.

“But we’re going to miss our families,” I pouted. “And I’m going to miss cuddling with my gorgeous boo,” I went on while going over and kissing his cheek.

“How can you be attracted to that greasy little French fry?” Ky rolled her eyes.

”French fry?” Josh shot.

“Yeah, you’re greasy….and short…. And you’ve got the spikey hair like the top of a French fry,” She giggled.

“You know something about French fries Ky?” I smirked. “When they come out of the oven, they’re super hot and we all know my JG is super hot.”

“But they also get cold…fast,” She responded.

“I love my little French fry and I think he’s cute,” I smiled while hugging onto him. “And he’s yummy like a French fry.”

“Well he’s going to get eaten by a seagull at the beach,” she mumbled.

“You two are insane,” Todd shook his head.

“No, I’m insane thank you very much,” I giggled.

He just shook his head again while Josh let out a chuckle. Christian obviously sensed all the excitement and let out a squeal while Jayden cooed. Emma and Mason were playing together in the middle of the office and it caused me to smile at them. It just reminded me of how much I love my family and the Potters who are like my family. I just hope I’ll be able to leave them for these two and a half weeks.
