Second Chances, Bad Habits

You're The Reason Why

Heading into the back lounge with Harry, I saw all four of my boys sat on the sofa, Mason holding some paper, while Jake held a DVD, and an envelope.

“What’s going on?” I asked, trying to figure out what they were up to, but coming up with nothing.

“Ok, we have a few things to tell, and talk to you about, so plonk your skinny arse here…” Austin smiled, patting the small gap between him and Mason. Raising my eyebrow, I shuffled over and took the seat Austin offered.

“Ok, fire away.” I tried to smile, but to be fair, you’d be a little scared if you were under these circumstances.

“Ok, first thing’s first, the letter and DVD that Jake’s holding, is from your brother. We didn’t open it, it just had a return address on the back.” I laughed a little at Austin’s keep save, before taking the letter out of Jake’s hand. Opening it up, I pulled out a small slip of paper. I grinned at what it said, somehow Matt and my sisters had found out about me having a tough time, although it didn’t seem like he knew about rehab.

“Ok, it says; Deli, I’m sending you this to remind you of who you use to be, and how happy lil’ miss Delilah Emily could be. The DVD is a ton of videos I edited of when things were better. Hope you like it, get better soon. Remember we love you, and we’re always here for you.” I had to swallow back the tears of happiness, as Jake stuck the DVD into the player across from us.By now even the BVB boys had come in, probably thinking they were getting a movie.

“And here for your entertainment Miss Delilah Silvings..” Matt, when he was about 9 or so, popped up onto the TV with a hair brush as a mic. It was a video of when there’d been a huge thunder storm and we were stuck inside all weekend, so we put on a show. In the background was a small wooden, and cardboard stage that we’d spent hours building together. I’d only been 7-ish at the time. I smiled, letting the happy tears flow.

“Deli, c’mon that was your big entrance…..no I’m not doing it again….no, just get on the stage” You could hear Matt whisper-yelling in the background, making all of us chuckle a little.

“Guessing you were a bit of a drama queen huh?” Andy chuckled from the doorway, behind Ash.

“You know it.” I beamed back.

Finally I popped up onto the little stage, dressed in a sparkly tank top, and a pair of jeans that had glitter on, matching the vans I’d been wearing. I held a real mic, unlike Matt, and smiled at my audience, before taking centre stage.

“Oh yeah, um….we wrote this….” Matt beamed, jumping in front of me, earning a scowl and painful prod from me.

“Ow…fine she wrote it, BUT I BUILT THE STAGE!” Matt screamed before running away in his little King’s oufit. We erupted in laughter again. Ash muttered something, but I was too busy with the video the notice.

Music started playing in the background, as I started doing a little dance on the stage. The camera turned a little to show my entire family, and all our neighbours smiling at me, before turning back to the stage, focusing on me at the mic, and my brother on the guitar. But I couldn’t remember who the hell was playing the rest of the stuff.

“Woo!

Smooth talkin', so rockin'
He's got everything that a girl's wantin'
Guitar cutie, he plays it groovy
And I can't keep myself from doin' somethin' stupid”
I remember how everyone gasped at how big my voice was, only because I’d been tiny. I was 7, and looked about 4 or 5. Guessing it was still shocking now, because even the boys gasped.

"Think I'm really fallin' for his smile
Get butterflies when he says my name
Woo!

He's got somethin' special
He's got somethin' special
And when he's lookin' at me
I wanna get all sentimental

He's got somethin' special
He's got somethin' special
I can hardly breathe somethin's tellin' me
Tellin' me maybe he could be the one

He could be the one, he could be the one
He could be the one, he could be the one
He could be the one

He's lightnin', sparks are flyin'
Everywhere I go he's always on my mind and
I'm goin' crazy about him lately
And I can't help myself from how my heart is racin'

Think I'm really diggin' on his vibe
He really blows me away, hey!

He's got somethin' special
He's got somethin' special
And when he's lookin' at me
I wanna get all sentimental

He's got somethin' special
He's got somethin' special
I can hardly breathe somethin's tellin' me
Tellin' me maybe he could be the one

He could be the one, he could be the one
He could be the one, he could be the one
He could be the one

And he's got a way of makin' me feel
Like everything I do is perfectly fine
The stars are aligned when I'm with him
And I'm so into him!

He's got somethin' special
He's got somethin' special
And when he's lookin' at me
I wanna get all sentimental

He's got somethin' special
He's got somethin' special
I can hardly breathe somethin's tellin' me
Tellin' me maybe he could be the one

He could be the one, he could be the one
He could be the one, he could be the one
He could be the one”
The camera shook, as who ever was holding it clapped like crazy, the crowd whistling, while we all took bows, before running off stage to attack the food table.

The video lasted a good hour or so, running through clips of when I was covered in paint, because Matt and Hawise thought it would be funny, to when Me and Evangeline had a chocolate cake fight in the front room.

The last clip that came on was when I was 5, talked with a lisp, and was stood on the kitchen table.

“Darlin’ what you doing up there? Get down before you fall.” My mum scolded in the background, before walking into the room, holding her hand up to help me down. But me being me, stomped my foot, crossed my arms.

“No! I’m not getting down until that bloody tooth fairy gives back my tooth!” My lisp made everyone burst out into hysterics. At the time, I was convinced that the tooth fairy had stolen my tooth, only because there’d been no money. We later found out it was because Matt stole it for sweets.

Right at the very end, Matt, Hawise and Evangeline came onto the camera, sitting in their not so new apartment.

“Hey Deli, Um….ok so, this was basically just a reminder of who you are. Andy called us, saying that you’d gone a bit awol and needed a bit of cheering up.” Matt said, doing the nervous hand gestures he does, when he’s not so sure what to do with himself.

“Yeah, and darlin’ no matter what anyone says to you, or whatever shit they throw at you, you’re the strongest one out of all of us. You’ve been through hell and back, god knows how many times, so don’t let this one time get the better of you.” Hawise took over, a silent tear falling down her face. I was swallowing like crazy, trying my best not to cry.

“Deli, remember when you told me that if you want something bad enough, no-one, no matter what can take it away from you? I think its time you followed your own advice. Not everyone knows how you operate, but I sure as hell do. Don’t change for anyone, just because they don’t approve of your crazy ass, shit scary, methods. You’re you, and we love you.” Now I was crying, quietly to myself. They all smiled and waved, before leaning forward and kissing the camera good-bye.

“That has got to be the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen.” Austin’s voice broke at the end, he was crying the hardest out of anyone. I pulled him into a hug, only to be joined by everyone else.

“So, does that mean you wanna perform tonight?” Jon said, appearing in the doorway.

“Like I’d miss it for the world.” I beamed, underneath whoevers armpit. Luckily they didn’t smell.

“Oh by the way, your twitter has gone crazy, everyone now knows about you and Ash.” Austin squealed, wiping away the remainder of his tears. My face froze. Everyone knew. Great. Bet my amount of hater’s just hit an all time high.

“Yeah, but don’t panic about it, they all love it, but they don’t know that you’re pregnant.” Ash smiled at me, squeezing in, in between me and Jake, kissing the top of my head. I nodded, letting out a breath of relief, before leaning back into Ash’s chest, as he wrapped his arms around me.

“Austin.” Mason quietly nudged Austin, handing him the paper he’d been holding. The rest of the guys had now gone off to do various things, leaving me with Ash, Austin and Mason.

“What’s that?” I questionned, curious as to why Mason had been holding it the whole time.

“This is a song Mason wrote, while you were in rehab, coz you remember when we were told we could do up to six songs for our bit?” I nodded, I didn’t actually remember, but Austin was usually right anyways.

“Well we only had 3 before, so we need another 3, this is an idea, you can tweak it, or whatever. But we were hoping you had…” Austin mumbled, getting unsure of himself, making me chuckle. He had to be the most confident kid I’d ever met, and he was nervous. I could feel the laughter rumble in Ash’s chest behind me, making me press my body back into his. I really wanted him.

“I’ve got some songs we could use, rehab’s boring, trust me.” I smirked, taking the paper from Austin. Scanning quickly over the words, I had to look at Mason.

“Who were you writing about?” Mason didn’t normally write music, but when he did, it was always focused on something or someone. Normally a waitress he was pissed off at for bringing the wrong order, leading to us not using it.

“You.” He bit his lip, before looking down at his shoes, and fiddling with something.

“I make you feel like this?” I questionned. Mason nodded his head furiously, making me smile.

“Good to know….” I got up to leave the room, dragging Ash with me, who was looking very confused. “By the way, I love the song.” I smiled back at Mason, catching a glimpe of the pure happiness that rose in his face as I left the room.

******************

A Day For Rain and Black Veil Brides, were all stood at the side of stage, watching the roadie’s set everything up. I was beginning to really worry, more than I usually do. After hearing that people now know about me and Ash, I was shit scared for the haters. It was even more terrifying, because Escape The Fate had pulled out of the tour, so that they could make sure Max went to rehab and stayed away from drugs this time, this meant that all the people out in the audience were there for BVB.

We still had about an hour or so before we had to go on, we had three new songs ready, but I sure as heck wasn’t ready. Ash pulled me out of my panic attack when he grabbed my hand, dragging me towards the exit, leading to the huge mobs of fans.

“You’ll be fine, I promise, c’mon” He smiled reassuringly down at me, pulling me over the groups upon groups of people.

“ASHLEY!!!” A ton of girls screamed, some wearing ‘Purdy Porn’ tops, others not. None of them had seen me yet, only because I was hiding behind Ash, scared stiff, regardless of the video from my siblings, if one of those slags says something, I will refuse to get on that stage. Ash noticed that I was hiding, and tugged me to his side, giving me a loving smile in the process, and wrapping his arm tightly around my waist.

“OH MY GAWD! IT’S DELI!” A couple of girls screamed at the top of their lungs, before rushing over to us. I smiled at the amount of them screaming at me for my autograph, or for my picture, the same happening to Ash next to me. Some even asked for pictures with both of us together.

“Hey Ash, you wanna go have some fun?” A slag in a ‘Purdy Porn’ shirt, purred running a hand up Ash’s chest. My face instantly dropped, frozen in the middle of signing someone’s arm. I dropped the girl’s arm, giving a quick apology, before turning to face the bitch. Ash had frozen too, his face a mask of pure shock. But before I could manage to do anything about her, a number of the girl’s surrounding us, that had heard her too, turned on her themselves.

“You stupid whore, that’s Ash’s girlfriend! Why the fuck would he agree to that?” A girl screamed, shoving the slag away. I just stood rooted in shock. Ash eventually got over it and broke up the fight. Just as he was telling her to leave, a girl gave me a funny look, while staring at my stomach, before pointing.

“Are you pregnant?” I did have the temptation to say no, just to see her mentally torture herself, but it had been about a month since I found out I was pregnant, I was starting to show slightly. But even not much, so this girl had an eye. After the teen said that, eveyone froze, their gazes focusing on me. Ash was immediately at my side, with his arm around me.

“Yeah, she is, we’re having a boy.” My eyes quickly shot up to meet his. That loving smile still on his face, his eyes so soft, they made me melt into a similar smile.

“Awww! YAY to baby Ash and Deli!” A girl screamed from next to Ash. Then a few started chanting for us to kiss, I could feel the blood rushing to my cheeks as I looked down. Ash’s fingers lifted my face to meet his, before pressing his lips to mine. Flashes went off like crazy, making me smile into the kiss. All the worry and fear about haters, was now completely gone.

“You guys are so cute together.” Someone said, as we pulled away from the kiss.

“Alright guys, we gotta go.” Ash smiled, still looking at me, before pulling me back towards the door we came through. I never felt so much happiness and love in my life.

“Baby, I love you.” Ash whispered in my ear, as we came back into the building. Turning, I wrapped my arms around his neck.

“I love you too.” I smiled, kissing him slowly. Fireworks exploded, and everything just disappeared. Pulling away, I felt slightly dizzy from it all, huge grins graced both of our faces. This boy was my world, and without him, right now, I think I’d die.

“Deli, you guys are up, we need you.” The stage manager called over to us. Giving Ash one last kiss on the lips, I ran over to my band, putting in my ear plug, and taking my mic.

I smiled like crazy, as I ran onto the stage, seeing all of BVB stood watching us. My boys took their places, smiling just as much as me. This would be the first time they’ve played since before I left. The crowd screamed like crazy when we came onto the stage, chanting ‘A Day For Rain’, although you couldn’t really hear the ‘A’.

“Hi guys, how you all tonight?” I called into the mic, earning more and louder screams.

“Alright, great to here it, we’re A Day For Rain, and this first song is Freak The Freak Out, sing along if you know it.” I smiled, before jumping straight into the sing.

******************

I almost cried, we’d gone through Freak The Freak Out, Beggin’ On Your Knees, and Best Friend’s Boyfriend, and every single person in the crowd had sang and screamed right along with us.

“Alright you gorgeous lot, we have 3 new songs for you tonight, yes 3!” I spoke, holding my hand up to emphasise the 3 point. They all screamed and jumped for joy. I was totally out of breath but I didn’t care. I was loving this so much.

“Before we start this next song, I want to introduce to the band.” More screams, I couldn’t help but to beam like the Chesire Cat.

“Over here we have Austin Lakes!” Austin strummed a bit on his bass, before smiling and blowing a few kisses to the wild crowd.

“On guitar we have Jake Kolten!” Like Austin his strummed, but instead of kisses, just waved.

“On keyboard Harry Riggs!” Harry beamed, shooting out a little tune, sending the crowd insane.

“And last but definitely not least, Mason Utah!” I screamed, as he kicked out some beats.

“Wait, wait, wait, no!” Austin spoke into his mic. Causing everyone to quiet down a bit.

“Last but not least, is the girl that made this all happen, the one and only, Deli Silvings!” Austin screamed my name, this sent the crowd over the top as they screamed, jumped, whistled, everything.

“Alright smart ass!” I shook my head at Austin, who just smirked.

“This next song is called You’re The Reason, this was written by Mason, so show some love.” Mason blushed like crazy, before going into the song.

“I don't want to make a scene
I don't want to let you down
Try to do my own thing
And I'm starting to figure it out
That it's alright
Keep it together wherever we go
And it's alright, oh well, whatever
Everybody needs to know

You might be crazy
Have I told you lately that I love you?
You're the only reason that I'm not afraid to fly
And it's crazy that someone could change me
Now no matter what it is I have to do, I'm not afraid to try
And you need to know that you're the reason why

I don't even care when they say
You're a little bit off
Look them in the eye, I say
I can never get enough
'Cause it's alright
Keep it together wherever we go
And it's alright, oh well, whatever
Everybody needs to know

You might be crazy
Have I told you lately that I love you?
You're the only reason that I'm not afraid to fly
And it's crazy that someone could change me
Now no matter what it is I have to do, I'm not afraid to try
And you need to know that you're the reason why

If it was raining, you would yell at the sun
Pick up the pieces when the damage is done
You say it's just another day in the shade
But look at what a mess we made

You might be crazy
Have I told you lately that I love you?
You're the only reason that I'm not afraid to fly
And it's crazy that someone could change me
Now no matter what it is I have to do, I'm not afraid to try

You might be crazy
Have I told you lately that I love you?
You're the only reason that I'm not afraid to fly
And it's crazy that someone could change me
Now no matter what it is I have to do, I'm not afraid to try
And you need to know that you're the reason why” We finished the song, and the crowd cheered so much, I think they might explode. I could see CC and Jake bouncing and clapping like crazy, while Ash, Andy and Jinxx, smiled and clapped.

We quickly did the next two new songs, before saying a quick goodbye, and leaving the stage for BVB. I think that was the best show we’ve ever done.

As we came off the stage, Ash wrapped his arms around me, screaming something in my ear, but I couldn’t here from everyone else. This has been the best day ever, and it can only get better.

**********************

After BVB finished their set, which easily topped ours, only because they blew shit up, we headed to a hotel. We’d be picking up our new tour bus tomorrow, so Jon suggested we go to a hotel. I don’t think I seen Ash agree to something so quickly, I couldn’t help but laugh.

Within seconds we’d pulled up, Ash grabbed my hand, and we both sprinted inside, not even bothering to grab our stuff. Jon almost killed himself trying to get in front of us to collect the keys.

“Here, go!” He flustered as he threw the keys at us. We didn’t bother with the elevator, it took too long, and right now I needed Ash. If we got in an elevator, people present or not, I was having him.

Racing up the stairs, Ash quickly checked the number on the key, before gaining more speed, running down the corridor, shoving the key into the slot, and throwing the door open. As soon as we were in, he locked the door, and put the chain across.

I slammed him into the wall, kissing him hard on the lips. Ash’s hands quickly wrapped around my thighs, hoisting me up onto his hips. I wrapped my legs around him, as we carried us over to the bed, all the while, kissing me so much I felt dizzy.

Falling back onto the bed, Ash ripped my top off, I hadn’t been wearing a bra, and Ash groaned in pleasure at the sight. I smirked, as I started palming him through his jeans.

“Oh Deli, don’t tease.” I smirked even more as I ripped his shirt off, and nipped at his collar bone.

This was going to be a great night.
