Make Me Better

I walked up the sidewalk and looked at the huge school. I wasn't paying much attention to anything .A honking car snapped me out of whatever I was day dreaming about. I turned towards the car with a glare.

"Olive?" A girl's voice asked. I would've shouted something mean but that voice was just too familiar.
"You didn't tell me you were coming back!" Lynz jumped out of the car and hugged me tight. I hugged back just as tightly.

"Jeez, What kind of friend are you?" She asked laughing.
I saw Mikey jump out the car and he walked over to us and hugged me. Causing Lynz to move.
"Why are you back?" He asked. I wasn't going to tell them the whole truth. They would think I'm some stupid girl.

"My dad wanted to come back." I lied, It wasn't the biggest lie.
"Anything new?" I asked.
"Lynz and Gerard are finally together." Mikey nodded.
"Wow! Finally!" I laughed.
Gerard gave me a smile.

"Anyways...We'll see you later..We have to head to school..Wake Frank up." Lynz said. Gerard jumped on top of the car and Frank shot up from the backseat.

I watched as Frank got out the car and rubbed his eyes. Lynz gave me a huge hug before driving off with Gerard.

"Oli?" He asked once he finally turned around.
"Hi." I waved.
"Why are you back?" He asked.
"Jeez.." I said, rolling my eyes.
"I mean I'm glad that your back..." He smiled and hugged me. Frank stood there with his arms wrapped around my waist. Mikey coughed.

"The bell rang." He said quickly. Frank pulled away with a huge smile.

"I'm glad you're back. I missed you. You left me with Mikey." Frank sighed dramatically. Mikey responded by grabbing my wrist and dragging me off the class.

Mikey dragged me along to some table at lunch.
"So, Girlfriend?" I asked while raising my eyebrow. He shook his head.
"Why not!?" I asked with a frown.
"I dunno...No one catches my eye." He smiled.
"Ah, You're too good for them anyways." I laughed.
Frank came to the table a while later.
"Ahh! A spider." He jumped into my lap. The spider lowered itself onto the table.
"Get off!" I said while I tried to get up. The dark spider was coming our way.
Mikey just flicked it away.
"You were scared!" I laughed at Frank.
"So were you!" He defended. It felt as if I never left.

"So are you coming?" Lynz asked as we headed towards my house. "Yeah, I need to do homework first." I said without really thinking.

"OK, I'll see you later." She smiled before heading back to the car. I walked into our living room. Mom was on the new couch, she had her phone to her ear. I stood there in the hallway quietly. She hadn't noticed that I had come home. I stayed quiet while she whispered away into her phone. The whispering gave her away.

"Who are you talking to?" I asked loudly. I saw her jump. She turned to look at me. She hung up and got off the couch. Mom walked past me and into the kitchen.

"It was no one." She said quietly, her back facing me.

"Yeah, OK." I replied sarcastically. I decided I didn't want to be home alone with her. I walked out the back door quietly.

God, I did not know where I was. I blame my mom. If it wasn't for her I would have stayed home.
"Oli?" Frank popped literally popped out the bushes, I jumped back.
"What?" I asked while I glared at him for scaring me.
"What are you doing out so late?" He asked.
"Its not even dark out!" I exclaimed.
"Why are you here?" He asked again.
"I don't even know where I am." I confessed with a cheesy smile. He shook his head at me. We linked arms and he led me through the long sidewalk.

"Why were you in the bushes?" I asked.
"I dunno. I was playing hide and seek with Mikey..." He laughed.
"Mikey? Where is he?" I asked..Frank pulled me into a house.
"There he is!" Mikey said.
"Hi!" I said happily.
"Where did you go?" Mikey asked. Lynz grabbed me and led me into a living room.
